I called the store and immediately this man named JOSE said not to worry and that he would come out to check my car. He came right out and was so kind and understanding. Said they did have the right battery and that he would install it. When he went to take out the old battery it was melded together to the terminal with corrosion. Jose took 30 MINUTES OR MORE to work on getting the terminal off. He even went back in and got some Wd40 to continue trying to get it off. He worked and worked and worked. He never gave up or suggested he couldn't do it. He did all of this while wearing his pristine grey Auto Zone long sleeve shirt and didn't get a single stain on it! I was so impressed not only with Jose's work ethic, but also by his cheerful attitude and the fact that he simply was determined to help me and not leave me or my car stranded without a battery. I am SO appreciative of Jose. This Auto Zone is kinda located in a basement area in San Clemente, so it might be easy to miss. Some idiot dropped a significant piece of wood from their vehicle onto Aliso Viejo Parkway. I was not able to break suddenly because there was a car behind me and I couldn't swerve to the right because there was a car in that lane so I sadly had to make contact with it. It caused a leak undercarriage so we needed to find out more critical information about it. Max was able to get us in and give us an assessment within an hour or so, without charge. Many places will charge an assessment fee but Pep Boys did not.
