I uploaded a video of the issue, and they got back to me quickly, explaining that we shouldn't open the door anymore for safety and to avoid damaging the opener (which I learned would be more costly). We got lucky and were able to get a same-day appointment. Josh was the technician and did a great job explaining everything. He replaced the spring and completed a maintenance check in under an hour. He also pointed out that our garage has myQ technology, which I didn't even realize that we can control it through the app.While it was a significant investment, it was well worth it. Our garage door should be good for another 15 years or so.
