It has been a week now since the new AC was installed on my house here in Peoria. We started experiencing a small leak in our old system about a month ago. ATM sent out Marko, and he did a great job fixing the leak. He was here for a couple of hours in a tight space doing the repairs. He was able to get our old unit up and producing cool air. But a few weeks passed and a second leak occurred in our AC. Mike came out and explained to us that the leak was repairable, but the parts for the repair would be a few days longer than we were willing to wait. Dealing with this old unit has been frustrating the past few years and we figured this would be the best time to replace the unit. The financing was very simple and easy to do, we got our approval within minutes. Once the approval was done it was time to talk numbers, and that wasn't that bad. Leonard work with us to get the right finance plan that fit our budget. It took a few days of dealing with a hot house (approx 95-100 degrees inside), but it was great to see Brian and Brady arrive to install the new unit. Once they started, it took a couple of hours to get the old unit off and the new unit turned on for use. After the system was tuned on, it took a few hours to cool the whole house to a reasonable temp. We've been running the new AC at a comfortable temp since it was installed. From the person who answered the phone the first time to the moment ATM finished installing our unit, it was very pleasant and professional. I will continue to recommend ATM when asked for an AC company.

Now let's get into the story. I ended up coming home and my air-conditioning was broken for at least a day and a half. I called company A ( not naming for respect purposes) and they ended up quoting me $2300 to fix one little crack in a copper pipe, and to refill the Freon. I knew something was wrong so I decided that I would call a different company to compare the quotes. After speaking with Air Force One, they told me that that was way out of proportion, and that they could offer me a better price. Linda told me on the phone twice that Scott was the best in the business and he is the best at what he does. I told her I was going to hold her accountable for saying that and she was right. Scott is the most honest, caring, helpful, and kind spirited HVAC service man you will know. He was nice enough to let me come on top of the roof and see exactly what he was doing because I wanted to learn a little bit about the air conditioning unit. He has been fixing air conditioning since high school and that should tell you a lot about the experience he has. After everything they ended up quoting us $774 and saving us $1500... I know it's disgusting that the other company was going to charge us $2300. Overall, I just have to say that air force one air conditioning is that one company that I just so happen to call that turned out to be the best experience in the world and Scott and Linda truly are a power couple and I have so much respect for all the work and service they do for the valley. So what I want you to do is if you ever need your air conditioning fixed or you know someone that does please refer this company because I promise you will not be disappointed. It was one of those experiences where you just can't stop telling everyone how good it was because of how much money you saved and how nice everyone was. Also, one last note Scott was telling me that someone left a bad review on yelp and it turned out They never actually ended up servicing that person ever so I hope it wasn't a fake review but regardless, if you ever see a bad review for this company. I call bullshit. Just to tell you what type of person Scott is... you know how us customers are always willing to give our air conditioning guy's water bottles??? He was nice enough to offer me an ice cold water bottle! HAHA! I no longer can recommend Desert Hills. After 5 years of trusting them, they did not return my call…read moreor email to schedule this year's maintenance. I called Anthony James Heating and Cooling to do the service. It turns out Desert Hills cut corners and did not install the unit correctly. Some examples: Quite a bit of attic Insulation was found inside the air handler, but on the opposite side of the coil, not where the return vent enters. The tech here now assumes they got the insulation in there during the installation and didn't clean it out before sealing up the unit. No wonder I've always had a dust problem! None of the PVC connections were properly glued. Instead of installing a proper vent pipe for the condensation drain, they just drilled a hole in an elbow. And, an emergency shut off was installed in case the unit produced more condensation then could drain or if the drain line clogged. Desert Hills came out and SUPPOSEDLY replaced the shut off switch. They did not! They simply disconnected the switch. The disconnected wires were just laying inside the unit.
