Galin and his team have always done fantastic work. I've had him install a new AC, expand my air flow return, repair a toilet, replace a garbage disposal unit, install an EV charger in my garage, and service my AC on several occasions. He is honest, affordable, transparent, and on-time. It seems like most of the negative reviews relate to home warranty procedures and approvals, not Galin's quality of service - and that makes sense. Home warranties are not smart, convenient, user-friendly, or a wise investment. I can understand why people are frustrated and feel shortchanged when they use their home warranty - that's what warranty companies do! So for those who are b**tching about their home warranty service, get smart, stop using them. My furnace decided it would only heat the house in the daytime and not at night. Right? When it's coldest out, the heater won't come on. This was happening on and off for THREE winters and no company could find a problem. They all thought it was a problem with the Nest thermostat. But replacing the thermostat was no help. This year I resolved to get this fixed once and for all. I found Alpha Mechanical listed on the furnace manufacturer's web site (Goodman) and called the number. It was Nick's cell phone. He said he could come the next morning for a $70 diagnostic fee, just text him the address. I did that and he showed up promptly at 8am. He spent about an hour cleaning some parts and diagnosed a faulty gas valve. Mind you- Alpha is the FOURTH company we've had come look at this furnace. None of them could find the problem. Nick found a replacement gas valve at a place across town and brought it back the next morning to install. 30 minutes later- PRESTO! We're back in business. The valve was under warranty so all I had to pay was Nick's labor minus the $70 already paid. Nick isn't very talkative... but who cares when he has the skills that eluded four other technicians from three other companies. I cannot thank him enough! read more

Terrible service!! The tech came to the house towards the end of the time window to troubleshoot and repair an AC unit. After breaking one part and claiming it was already broken he replaced several other parts that that may or may not have needed to be replaced. He then informed me that he cannot finish the job because he is out of time. BS. He then stated he didn't have approval. When I called the Warranty company they had already approved the claim. Then he said he was out of parts. long story with an ending of still no air conditioning. read more

Terrible experience. Tech lied, claimed he was in front of service address. Tech then claimed he had a bad address and was lost. Tech then asked if I really needed HVAC Service. Contacted company who informed me they wanted service payment up front and only after payment would they look at my issue. I informed them, no, service the unit first and then I would pay. Service company said they don't work that way and because of my request, I was too difficult to work with. I'm assuming because I have a brain and ask for service first prior to payment that was a red flag. I have a home warranty but am going to use an outside HVAC vendor not affiliated with the home warranty firm. Use this HVAC if you want aggravation!!! read more

They came out through my warranty company and made some repairs. I had to call them back because I thought I had a Freon leak and they came back within just a few days and assured everything was good to go. I appreciate the timely service and response to my concern. read more

When they came out for the service inspection for my AC (I have a home warranty) they quoted me $330. When they came back to fix it after approval from home warranty company, they told me it would cost $435. I told them they originally quoted me $330, and then he said the cost would be $380. When asked why, he said $330 was a discount so that they wouldn't have to come back again, which was never disclosed to me. Ended up having to pay $380- very disappointed with this transaction. read more

I used Alpha Mechanical LLC, they charged me a diagnosis fee, and said he will order the part and come back to fix our AC, however after contacting him multiple times, he finally said I can't do the job and cancelled on me after waiting 7 days for him to fix our AC. This company needs to be help accountable. People write your reviews here so we can get Alpha Mechanical LLC liable for all damages done for all of us. read more

The tech arrived on time and was very professional . He diagnosed and fixed the AC problem with no issues.

Alpha Mechanical came to assess a blockage in my toilet. They did snake it and found that they could not determine what the blockage was. They blamed the fact that they could not identify what it was the p-trap. They would have apparently preferred that I had another toilet. They did not use any equipment to visualize the blockage. I know such equipment is available based on some other plumbing work I had done last year. When they didn't know what the problem really was they speculated that it might have been my dog dropping something in the toilet. That was ludicrous because my dog doesn't play with toys and doesn't go near the toilet. The service person then said that his wife had dropped something down a toilet once - I guess to suggest that the 2 adult women in the house were responsible. read more

I give Alpha Mechanical and Galin of Phoenix, Arizona 5 out of 5 stars! I am very particular and demanding when it comes to my service people. Before I was disabled, I was a Journeyman Electrician, Certified Professional Locksmith, Certified Safe Technician, an Auto Mechanic, and owned my own service business for 20 years. Unfortunately because of my disability I am no longer able to do my own work. Last week I called my Home Warranty company because my air conditioner stopped working. My home warranty company assigned my work order to Alpha Mechanical. I checked them out and found that they have 3 active licenses with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors in both Air Conditioning, Heating, and Plumbing. I called Galin and explained my problem and he worked me into his schedule, for later that same afternoon. Galin is very professional and obviously very proficient. He was able to diagnose the problem right away. He told me that if he had authorization from my home warranty company to repair it, he had the part and could have done it then. We are still waiting on Select Home Warranty to authorize the work. From now on Alpha Mechanical is my go to for plumbing and A/C service! read more

One of the worst experiences we had, we put a service call through our home warranty and it wasn't until 4 days later someone showed up to do the diagnostic from Alpha. They then wanted to charge us out of pocket and wouldn't say the price at first, ended up trying to get $500 for a compressor rather than go through the home warranty as well as trying to upsell cleaning services. They then wrote in the notes the whole unit had to be replaced, and didn't actually submit it to the home warranty until a day or two after the diagnostic. It ended up being over 2 weeks in the Arizona heat until the homewarranty could reassign it since the notes were not descriptive enough and Alpha wanted $6000 from the homewarranty to replace the unit. They also refused to come back out to give a detailed diagnostic since they wanted to be paid for a second diagnostic. The company our home warranty reassigned it to came out within 2 days, found the actual issue which was the fan, not the compressor, and they replaced it on the spot without trying to upsell us. Word of advice is to never use Alpha Mechanical, they do not care about their customers. They are just looking to make easy money off you. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more
