LOOK NO FURTHER! Sometimes one does not feel like shelling out $100+ on a haircut. So i was looking and looking on yelp and found this little gem right by LACC. She understood exactly what i wanted and made sure I was comfortable with the length as she was cutting my hair. She threw in a free shampoo just because and there was no tax. Everytime I need a haircut, I I come to Ateh Lee, she's so funny and easy-going! Today I got lucky, because she had an opening! I got there early and her kind assistant shampoo/washed my hair. Ateh Lee was busy, but she got to me right away! The haircut always turns out the way I describe/want and after the haircut, she blow-dried and styled it beautifully! I found this salon through Yelp and it exceeded my expectations. I went there for hair rebonding and she saw that I colored my hair, but the roots worn off already. So, she suggested to do color rebonding instead. Ate Lee and Ate Rosa was very patient with my hair because it literally looks like a lion's hair. Since I met Lee I have never gone to anyone else :) She knows what's best for my hair and my hair is difficult to style because of its tendency to frizz. I've had my hair rebonded before but found that alternating between a Brazilian blowout and hair rebond works for me and this is all because Lee suggested it for me. If you ask her opinion regarding the current state of your hair she will tell it like it is. My search for a permanent hair stylist is finally over! Thank you Lee! I haven't had a haircut for almost two years already and my hair has been annoyingly too long, so I decided it was time to cut it short again. My problem is everytime I'm due for a haircut I always look for a place where I could really get satisfied, and I've never felt that til I went to Lee's Salon! The last time i got a haircut I wasn't too happy with the result. It wasn't terrible but I didn't love it either because the guy who cut my hair cut it too short too fast. Lee took her time to make sure she wasn't cutting too much and I could feel that she really cared that I would be happy with my hair. Oh by the way, I got a long bob cut with soft layers. I did ask for a side swept bangs in the beginning, but she forgot which I wasn't really mad about because I already love my hair as it is, but she said if I changed my mind then I could come back and she would give me bangs. I thought that was very sweet of her! And for the price? I paid $25 before tip - very reasonable and worth every penny! I stopped in here as I was getting my car washed across the street. I have little hair so I keep it buzzed pretty tight. I was greeted by Lee and taken care of by Gloria. Gloria was very sweet but not very conversational, which was fine since I sometimes like to be left alone. She did a great job cutting my hair down to a 00, but seemed a bit nervous when I wanted her to shave my beard and mustache. Totally understandable, I get nervous cutting my own facial hair. I was washed, conditioned, and moisturized. $20 for face and head shave is about normal. I left feeling very clean. She missed a small patch around my lip that I'll touch up. All in all a nice visit, 4 stars for great service but I've had better shaves at an actual barber, this is more of a beauty salon. Thanks ladies! read more
