    E I.

Have been going to this place for about 3 years now and the staff is so friendly! We switched from another dentist in diamond-bar because he decided he was going to do a crappy job in pulling out teeth and cleanings. We were recommended to Dr. Armienta by some friends who were family and decided we had nothing to lose. It all started with a simple tooth removal that I did not feel at all compared to the other unexperienced dentist , and he became our permanent dentist. He is very professional and the staff is very polite and respectful. They are also very quick and still end up giving you a good cleaning. The waiting room is always clean and packed with magazines to read while waiting. Like I've seen on a previous tip, don't try to say you floss every day, because he knows lol. Thanks Dr. Armienta! :) A.I.

Letty explained what my benefits covered and assured me I could use my FSA to cover my portion of the costs.

Obviously, I cannot stop glowing about Dr. Nelson Yen and the staff at his office. It looks like…read morethe bone medication that I was given over a year ago by my primary physician has had a horrible side effect as I've lost two implants. This experience has been painful, expensive and a bit traumatic. The "expensive" part could've been so much worse but Dr. Yen did everything he could to help ease the blow and it was so very much appreciated. The one saving grace in all of this is the way that Dr. Yen has taken care of, not only me, but also the situation. He has been so attentive and empathetic. I know that it upsets him as much as it upsets me, to have had to endure the loss of two implants. Dr. Yen was the one that brought to attention the fact that I was on medication that had this dire effect. I just never thought to put the two together. He listens so attentively and addresses any and all concerns... not to mention the highest quality of expertise and skill that he embodies. I truly wish that every doctor in my life could give me the care that Dr. Yen does. And I have to mention the entire staff in the office. Everyone is so courteous and kind. So, if you're looking for a periodontist, look no further. Don't hesitate to become a patient of his.

We're also surprised and grateful that Dr. Yen, treated us like family, constantly trying to save us money, he tirelessly and patiently explaining to my husband, twice I think, how and why treating three different areas in one visit, saving at least $2,300 than what my husband's brother suggested better to split into three or more different visits. Dr. Yen called and checked on me @ 7:00 pm tonight, after he saw more patients after he extracted, cleaned, and bone grafted my #30 tooth, and cleaned #31 all done by 4:00 PM (in less than an hour), I am so impressed, he kept me informed of the different types of surgery procedures all throughout the surgery, I only felt very minimal pain from the local anesthesia needle, no pain, no swelling, no bleeding as far as I could tell, how's it possible? The lengthy instructions clearly stated to use ice packs, 10 mins on 10 mins off for first 24 hrs (3 packs were provided), then warm heat packs for next 24 hrs to break up swelling and minimize bruising, I tried for less than 30 mins while driving home post surgery, then stopped, since there's no need, no swelling, no bleeding, and no bruising at all. I am so thankful for Dr. Yen's incredible expertise, and Dr. Yen is so humble, he asked me how do I know he's done such an amazing job? I think it's quite self explanatory, when those possible bad/worse/worst scenarios are not happening to me, Dr. Yen has done a fantastic job! Right?

The gum stayed put! I still don't have a gummy smile even at my highest smile. I don't feel self conscious when I smile any more. I finally finished my aligners just in time to get married. This surgery was an absolute blessing and I didn't have to think twice about my smile in front of our guests and the cameras. I am so grateful to Dr Gaffaney for what he's done for me! He's an amazing human being and a skilled surgeon.

It's clear this man is not accustomed to being questioned because he met my questions with sarcasm/mockery and gaslighting, at one point telling me to "stop asking so many questions. I don't have time to give a full anatomy lesson to you!" And "There you go again.....more questions..." I don't care if any of this was said in jest; this is not appropriate care or bedside manner at all. His ego clearly operates at the forefront and he doesn't like that a woman had knowledge of the oral mechanism and has very specific questions. In terms of the office experience, the office is fine if it were 1983. Not a place I would want to receive oral surgery for concerns of cleanliness and lack of use of new tools, etc. Everything looked archaic down to the fans in the room. The front desk woman, who I think is his wife named Carrie, was polite if you don't cross her. But I had concerns with a bill received and then she was very rude and defensive on the phone- not answering my questions and dodging the point of my call. They did not inform me of the cost or the name of the consultation service that I received that day (which was actually an eval) and thus did not tell me they would be billing insurance or for how much. While I have dental insurance, I like to know what is being done and appreciate up front and honest care. I instead went to see Dr. Scheines in Cerritos for my gingival graft and she took over 40 minutes answering my questions alone and explaining the process of the procedure to me. Her office also gave a complete breakdown on paper of the cost of the evaluation, plus the cost of surgery, and what insurance would cover. I highly recommend her care and her renovated office feels clean and modern!
