We have used them multiple times here in Llano TX. They loaded our trailers abd truck supper fast EACH TIME. Always friendly and communicate with us. Great value and kept me out of the hospital (if you had dealt with my wife's boxes of books, you'd know that it isn't an exaggeration) We will have them out again on Wednesday and again later. Clearly I am not the only one that has used Rubenies Mighty Moving with poor results. The guys moving us were friendly, but two BAD things occurred: 1. They moved items from a storage shed into the moving truck. THey told us the shed was empty and we were ready to go, we believed them as it was on the second story of a building (I'd check for clean later). We get back to check and they lied to us -- there were about 25-35 items left unattended for anyone to steal or trash (baby pictures, Cricut machine, etc etc). VERY VERY unprofessional. 2. The one mover admitted he did NOT latch, lock or check the back of the moving truck door once they finished moving. We begin to drive to the new location and the door pops open and my TV falls out on the street. They broke my TV and then "say" they have insurance, claim form, will make it right, then go dark on us when we call to start that claim process. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It IS "amateur hour" at Rubenie's Mighty Movers. They need to seriously take a step back and evaluate how they're doing business and approaching customer service etc. AVOID this company. read more

Rubenie's Mighty Moving - Movers Near Me

I had an absolutely horrible experience with this company. NOT professional movers, it's more like a "Craigslist" kind of situation. Here's a list of issues I've had so far - still pending resolution as they're currently ignoring my request for furniture repair: 1. They double-booked during my time and delayed my move. I had them booked for a 10 AM move - multiple emails confirming this time, I also called the week prior to confirm. I called them again the morning of the move, as I hadn't received any other communication. They clearly need a better process for booking and confirmation. They said that my move was scheduled for 5:00 that day - and were not quick to offer solutions. I had to press for a better solution. 2. Ultimately, the solution to their mistake continued to be a bigger waste of my time. They stated they'd start my move at 2:30 that day (better than 5:00 PM). So I found other things to do that day and then went back to my packed up house to start the move. They didn't arrive until 4:30. I sent a text to Carlos at 2:35 to confirm the drivers were on they way which he confirmed. At 3:15 Carlos advised they had stopped to eat and get gas - therefore confirming a mistruth to his earlier text. This went on until the movers arrived. I could have spent this two-hour period running errands etc, but instead was given bad information to placate me. Not good service or communication. Be honest with your customers. 3. They arrived with a truck that was clearly too small. I paid something like a $130 "truck fee" and expected to see a truck of ample size roll up to my house. This lead to damaged furniture, a longer than necessary loading period, and the need for me to personally go back to the property twice to finish the move I paid these guys to execute. This company also does not own their own trucks or equipment opting to rent from Uhaul. Definitely a red flag. I've rented uHaul trucks in the past - it's a slight difference in cost to upgrade to an adequate truck - especially considering I paid a $130 truck fee. 4. The movers were nice guys - but clearly not trained. I personally liked the guys that moved my stuff - but they were clearly not trained. For example, the movers decided to move my all wood entertainment center using a metal dolly, with no furniture pad. They let it drop down one step from my front door, damaging my entertainment center. I took a picture immediately and told them that this would not be acceptable for this move. They then started to be much more careful with my stuff. 5. They went dark when we started to discuss furniture repair. As seen on other review sites - they'll initially engage with you about furniture repair, but then go dark when it comes to actually repairing the furniture. This has been my experience also. Overall, it's "amateur hour" at Rubenie's Mighty Movers. This guys first stood me off in the day of move, and then try to raise the price by 20 dollars per hour. They sent some newbies who don't know how to properly organize my moving boxes for long distance moves. Neither do they seal mattress bags. A lot of waste in space which might also cause damages. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! I never leave reviews but felt obligated to warn potential future customers. The movers did a good job but were negligent in the process and let one of my chairs drop and it got completely scratched (mind you this was an expensive chair that was wrapped which is the only reason I cared so much). Raul immediately came to the house after the incident and told us he would work with us to come to an agreement, which at the time I was happy with. But unfortunately that was a lie because I never heard from him again, even after several attempts on trying to contact him via text and email, until finally I gave him a call. I was shocked when Raul was extremely rude to me over the phone and was accusing me of lying, blamed me for not wrapping the chair better and totally dismissed the situation and said there's nothing he can do. Terrible customer service from him and just outright unprofessional and mean. There are many different ways he could have handled the situation in a professional manner but he failed to do so. This Rubenies Moving Company is a total JOKE! at first i was impressed and Nate the so called manager took my call. He asked me what times i would like gave me some times. i chose 9 am. 2 movers $170 2 hour min... good to go.. so day of appt.. Chris shows up by 9:08 am ... no biggie. i asked where is the other guy.. he had no clue.. i called spoke to Nate.. he said he is on his way be there in few min.. so now ive called about 5 times.. it is now 9:44 am I spoke to Raul owner... i told him about 1 guy here the other is not and what dolly are they bringing for my refrig as Chris told me it is the same size as my little plastic dolly for small items not a 350lb frig. which i paid $5000 for and i told Raul that IF they move my frig on a tiny dolly and damage my frig he will be buying me a new frig .. Raul said he is now going to cancel and he is not reliable for my items especially a frig.. i told him i am not having anyone move my stuff and get to the frig and say ohh nope cant move and pay for just boxes when i specifically told Nate i could do it all myself but not the frig,, Raul told me i was an idiot and hung up on me... i called Nate again.. and i do not want his company to now help me to refund me my $$ . he now says they will refund and charge me $85 for the 2 guys that are here moving my things.. I told him Chris has been standing around for now 1 hour and the other guy is not here... I told him i am not paying $85 for nothing.. i let him know i am calling my attorney and by the time we get done with this company i will own the company. He hung up on me.. i called back , he kept saying give the movers a chance to move my frig.. well it is now 10:15 am no one else is here just 1 mover... Nate says he will be here in a min.. Finally at 10:20 am Lin shows up i called Nate again.. i went over about the dolly and Nate reassured me now that IF his dolly doesn't work he will get a refrigerator dolly ( we have to go get).. you ask Dolly.. yep same as mine plastic piece of shit only bigger wheels. i told Lin he is NOT moving my expensive refrigerator on his dolly to call Raul and let him know he has to get a BIG dolly at home depot.. so i have to drive Lin to home depot he gets the dolly and both Chris and Lin said yes we had to have this dolly and his would have dropped my refrigerator flat on the ground! Now for Rubenies Moving Piece of shit company and piece of shit owner .. Raul the owner is an ASSHOLE to say the least , he has no clue how to run a business and extremely unprofessional to say the least.. He hires guys from Craigslist he does not have a so called crew.. he picks random guys he doesn't even know.. he just started his business and in my opinion the good review is from a friend or family member...
