"Le Fumoir Rubs": Smoky Goodness
Le Fumoir Rubs opened its doors about a week ago in our neighborhood, and last night we decided to stop in and grab a bite. As soon as we got out of our car the aroma of the smokers was tantalizing. Upon entering, we were greeted by a lovely hostess, who seated us immediately. The atmosphere was lively, warm and very welcoming. There is a full bar with all types of Rickards and Molson on tap, and television screens scattering the walls for prime viewing of the Habs games.
When reading the menu we could not decide what to order. Almost everything on the menu is cooked in a smoker. We ordered the Smoked Wings (Memphis), and the Deep Fried Kool-Aid Pickles to share. My wife ordered the Beef Brisket with a side of smoked vegetables and sweet potato fries. I ordered the Sliders (Pork / Chicken / Beef) with fries and coleslaw.
The wings were meaty, succulent and lip smacking delicious. The pickles were like nothing we had ever tried before. One bite and we were ecstatic, they were insanely good. All this was accompanied by a refreshingly enjoyable signature drink "Georgia Peach."
The Beef Brisket was smoked to perfection, taste buds tantalizingly yummy. The Sliders were filled with pulled juicy pork, mouth-watering chicken and tasty beef topped with pickled cabbage. As well, there are two sauces that can be added to any of the meats: bbq sauce and spicy mayo made in house. Try them with everything.
It wasn't just the food - the service was excellent, friendly, and professional.
Make a point to pay them a visit. This place serves some of the best Southern food this side of the border.
The boys of Le Fumoir Rubs have managed to bring the South to St. Rose.
We are hooked! We will be back again and again to sample all that you have including your signature dessert of Chocolate Covered Bacon!
