I hate leaving negative reviews but this place just misses the mark. I've come twice the last 6 months for a pedicure and I've gotten a young man both times. He doesn't seem to have experience and barely scrubs your feet or massages. Everything was somehow either painful or too soft, no middle ground. I want to love this place because they are close to my house but it's just not worth the money or time. read more

Asked for gel mani and regular pedi... this older lady tried to upsell me on gel pedi.. I get nails done almost every 3 weeks. I used to come here in the past regularly when the owners were there. Ever since the owners don't come to store the service is soo horrible. Not only did this older lady tried to upsell me on gel pedi .... She didn't even do a good job on gel mani... she didn't use cuticle softening solution... she didn't try to push the cuticles back to be able to cut them. I'm on day 3 and my cuticles are already showing and can be cut.... The gel was all over my skin so now it's peeling. Waste of my time and money! Not a welcoming vibe. Extremely disappointed with my gel manicure I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this nail shop was awful. I came in for a simple gel manicure, and within two hours of leaving, the polish started peeling off. The technician filed my nails unevenly, and the finish looked messy and rushed. When I mentioned during payment that my nails looked messy, he discounted $10 and ignored my comment. Then, when I called back within two hours to explain that the polish was already peeling and asked for a refund, the person I spoke with claimed the owner wasn't available. Later, after checking Yelp, I realized that I had actually been speaking to the owner, who lied to me rather than taking responsibility. This level of dishonesty and poor service is completely unacceptable. For the price I paid, I expected a professional, lasting manicure--not something that fell apart almost immediately. I won't be returning, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. read more

Been going to this particular nail place before they changed their name to Ruby Nails (OGs will remember the name Golden Dragon...) My friend and I like to come here to get pedicures done. It's very rare for me to pamper myself, especially when getting nails done, but when I do, it's usually here. My go-to is a regular pedicure with gel polish. It lasts a few weeks at the very least. The prices are reasonable compared to other spots in the area, too. The entire staff is super lovely. The ladies are very kind and they always remember my friend and I. They also check in a lot and ask if the water is warm enough, if what they're doing is okay, etc. I will say that even when making an appointment, there's still usually a wait. I always a lot an extra 30 minutes just in case. I personally don't mind too much but definitely keep that in mind if you're in a time crunch. read more

I've been going to this location (under a different name) for about 8 years, on and off. When they first switched to Ruby Nails they remained pretty good still. But now? It's under different management again or something. The techs are often different and this current batch just isn't it. They do a pretty good job and I've been decently happy with my nails, both shape and color. But last time I went it was dirty. I have never heard of being charged additionally for cuticle trim? I've been coming since golden dragon days and the service was great when it first became ruby nails but slowly declining in level of service and cleanliness. The floor is filthy, I even spotted a roach between chairs. There's too much competition to provide this level of service (2-3 min massage (leg only, not feet), getting nipped, skimping on the gel packet they put in the water (my tech used half a packet and when I said it's not very thick she begrudgingly added the other half). My new go to nail spot ! Peter and Helen were extremely accommodating and helpful. I came in for a gel pedicure and ended up also getting dip nails. I am super happy with the service quality and price. They let me know they had recently renovated the salon, and it looks very modern and clean . The nail techs are very experienced, and amazing at what they do im so grateful they spent extra time to make sure that my said came out exactly like how I wanted. 10/10 experience will definitely be back and recommend to anyone in the area :) read more

This is a clean cute nail salon. They do great with my pedicures and I recently got a full set. I am very picky and the design wasn't perfect but 8/10. My nail tech got the shape perfect and it was thin like I like it I would go back and maybe try something different but still like it and got a lot of compliments. I've been coming here for a couple months now. The last time i came was Saturday July 12th. I asked for a fill on my full set. I only had one nail that had came off and needed to be fixed. I was at first the only client there and after about 30 minutes more people came. They only had 2 people working. I came here a months ago and had a manicure by Angel and she was amazing. Came again after not getting my nails done in a while, and was very disappointed. I asked for a manicure since my cuticles were out of control, and this is what I got. My nails are all uneven, and cuticles are still bad. I was also disappointed in who I think is the owner. The woman who did my pedicure seemed to be new to the role, the owner walked by and looked at my feet then went over to her son to make a comment, and they both walked by looked, and laughed. I'm always a little frustrated when I make an appointment and I'm not serviced within an appropriate amount of time... what's the point of making an appointment if they're going to accept so many walk-ins or over book that I end up waiting 35 minutes just to be seated, and then 15-20 more minutes to get started? My mom, whom I also made an appointment for, waited over 35 minutes as well. The manicure itself was decent, but as you can see in the first photo was slightly bumpy with random thick globs on some fingers. It's not too noticeable from Birds Eye view but just shows a sloppy job, probably from rushing because again, they either overbooked or accepted too many walk-ins. read more

Clean place with friendly service. Pedicure was good but it felt a little rushed since there was only one other customer in the salon. I really enjoy the foot & calf massage when I get a pedicure but I guess this isn't something they do here. Only put on lotion then quickly toweled it off. 11/10 for the pedicure, auntie was putting in work with that massage! I forgot what it was called but I got the pedicure with the exfoliating scrub, the hot stone massage and sea socks. It was well worth it! 6/10 for the Gel X full set - I really wanted to love my nails, they looked great the day of and the design was well done. My issue is that they were done on Saturday morning and by Wednesday 2 have already fallen off (glued one back on so I could type properly for work), and the majority are lifting. For context, my last Gel X set stayed on for 5 weeks without lifting. My nail tech was really sweet and seemed like she was pretty experienced, but I am disappointed that I have to pay for a new set not even a week later. The service overall was pretty good, so I won't say that I wouldn't give them another try when I'm back in town. But probably wouldn't get Gel X extensions there again. read more

Really nice! Totally unexpected. I've seen this salon for years and only now went because they were open early (9AM). Its exterior and the general appearance of the "shopping center" (there are only 5 businesses) don't represent the interior of this salon. It is clean, bright and welcoming. When you enter you sign in using an IPad where you select from a menu exactly what you want and are shown the prices for every service. When you leave you use the same iPad to pay and to leave a tip. I liked the jelly pedicure treatment, service was ok but I didn't get done till 1:25 almost three hours later. The male receptionist made an error at check-out I was not about to get overcharged$10.00 plus an additional service fee for using a credit card. Although I mentioned I was paying cash. He said sorry and that yes it would have been done together but he's wife had a doctor's appointment I was just shocked idk what to say but once the charge was corrected I left.
