Gel manicure pealed off after only 2 hours

Extremely disappointed with my gel manicure I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this nail shop was awful. I came in for a simple gel manicure, and within two hours of leaving, the polish started peeling off. The technician filed my nails unevenly, and the finish looked messy and rushed. When I mentioned during payment that my nails looked messy, he discounted $10 and ignored my comment. Then, when I called back within two hours to explain that the polish was already peeling and asked for a refund, the person I spoke with claimed the owner wasn't available. Later, after checking Yelp, I realized that I had actually been speaking to the owner, who lied to me rather than taking responsibility. This level of dishonesty and poor service is completely unacceptable. For the price I paid, I expected a professional, lasting manicure--not something that fell apart almost immediately. I won't be returning, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

My girl did great and took her time, but it went on too long. Her co-worker stepped in to finish with the clear coat, and that's where it went wrong. On the way home, I saw my left hand was dry, messy, and the nails looked chunky. Her co-worker ruined her work. Next time, double-check before leaving--or you'll end up like me with a chunky mess. :(

This has been my go to nail salon for a year and half! I was a client of the previous owner and when she left I started to going to Calley and she is the bees knees! She's so sweet, attentive, and a perfectionist! She takes her time and you can tell she is very passionate about what she does! The vibe at the salon is very chic and relaxing! There are so many colors and services to choose from! & Everyone is very nice and I always feel comfortable while I'm there! I've also referred my friends over and they are very happy with their services! Give this place a try!

I had the absolute best experience at Ruby Nails and Spa I have been at the nail shop and I moved to a new area but I decided to come back because the staffs are very nice and helpful! This is a clean cute nail salon. They do great with my pedicures and I recently got a full set. I am very picky and the design wasn't perfect but 8/10. My nail tech got the shape perfect and it was thin like I like it I would go back and maybe try something different but still like it and got a lot of compliments. I was a walk in and got seated right away. Just depends on the time you go I've been there where there was a lot of people and then I've been there where I'm the only one in the salon

I've been coming here for a couple months now. The last time i came was Saturday July 12th. I asked for a fill on my full set. I only had one nail that had came off and needed to be fixed. I was at first the only client there and after about 30 minutes more people came. They only had 2 people working. Not sure if my girl felt rushed but pointer finger was the only nail she needed to glue on and she glued the nail on not straight at all! I was shocked when I saw. Very disappointed

I came here a months ago and had a manicure by Angel and she was amazing. Came again after not getting my nails done in a while, and was very disappointed. I asked for a manicure since my cuticles were out of control, and this is what I got. My nails are all uneven, and cuticles are still bad. I was also disappointed in who I think is the owner. The woman who did my pedicure seemed to be new to the role, the owner walked by and looked at my feet then went over to her son to make a comment, and they both walked by looked, and laughed. I don't know what was said as I do not speak the language, but was quite embarrassed. I won't be returning, and really hope they read this so that they do better in the future.

It's definitely very neat and clean-looking in here. I'm always a little frustrated when I make an appointment and I'm not serviced within an appropriate amount of time... what's the point of making an appointment if they're going to accept so many walk-ins or over book that I end up waiting 35 minutes just to be seated, and then 15-20 more minutes to get started? My mom, whom I also made an appointment for, waited over 35 minutes as well. The manicure itself was decent, but as you can see in the first photo was slightly bumpy with random thick globs on some fingers. It's not too noticeable from Birds Eye view but just shows a sloppy job, probably from rushing because again, they either overbooked or accepted too many walk-ins.

I've been coming to Ruby Nails for a couple months now. I've always had such a wonderful experience coming in here the vibes in here are great, the place is clean & the staff is BEYOND GREAT. I'm so glad I found this place. Helen does a beautiful job doing my full set. Thank you Ruby Nails

Amazing service! Wow I was amazed at just how nice and clean this nail salon was. It's tucked away in a little corner. I was greeted by Peter who was super nice. He did my pedicure and Helen his wife did my mom's pedicure. It was very relaxing and the hot stones with the massage was amazing. I got a full set done by Kathy. She did an amazing job I will definitely be coming back to Ruby, nails and spa. The salon was super clean. We were the last customers and they continued cleaning what already looked clean while my nails were getting finished. Drove from West LA with a friend to check out this establishment. Before going, I called the establishment and Peter was very prompt and helpful in answering my questions! This place is definitely worth the drive and I trusted them to beautify me in time for my wedding. I got my lash extensions done from Thao who is the sweetest girl ever. Love love love how my lashes turned out. They're very light and voluminous. She was very thorough and I can tell she really cares about her clients! Received compliments from friends. All the employees who work here are just amazing. They have great customer service and put their customers first. Peter and Helen made sure my friend and I were taken care of. The nail quality here is top notch -- feels very durable with no chips so far after a week. I got the French dip nail with tip and a gel pedicure. Highly recommend and rave this place to everyone! I called for a last minute appointment for gel x and they took me in. They addressed me by my name and were very caring towards me and asked of i wanted water or needed anything. My nails came out cute but they did not last. the chrome is already chipping off and the ghost design is poorly done. read more

Please do not waste your time. Ruby Nails & Spa replaced my favorite nail salon: Golden Dragon Nails. I thought I would give Ruby's a try. I brought my daughter. My daughter's manicure lasted literally an hour after we left. The polish peeled right off. Then I asked if my mom could use her Dragon gift certificate there. The owner said they would accept it. After my mom drove all the way from Yorba Linda, the owner would not accept the certificate. What a waste of time and money! I now go to A+ Nails on Harbor Blvd. for all of my nail needs. read more

Ruby's nails was my go to spot last year and I decided to go a couple days ago to get my nails done for my birthday and it was not the same as before. There had to be a change in management because none of the ladies who were there before were there. The place was empty and dirty, it looked like they haven't mopped and I did see a roach walking around right when the lady was done. The atmosphere wasn't even the greatest either, I felt more of a bother being there, the older guy who seems like he's in charge was just standing around and kept looking and another lady was just sitting there and kept giving glances like she was judging and the front desk guy seemed like he was forced to be there. I think they might of noticed I was uncomfortable and decided to leave to the back of the salon. The lady who did my pedicure was nice and did good but I wasn't satisfied with the work like I would be like before. Sadly, I would not be going back to this spot again. read more

Ruby Nails is a new nail salon in Fullerton. It was formerly called Golden Dragon Nails. I had been to Golden Dragon many times and always had great service. Ruby Nails owners by Peter and Helen provides the same great service as Golden Dragon. Peter and Helen are very friendly and kind. They are doing some updating to the salon with new chairs and a beautiful floral mural on the wall. Some of the previous nail technicians are still taking clients. I would recommend you give them a try. read more

I've been coming here for years and have seen them move into their new space, which is sooo cute, beautifully decorated, and always spotless. Christina is the absolute best. She always makes me feel comfortable, the service is consistently amazing, and everything is super clean every single time. I recently joined their membership plan and honestly wish I had done it sooner because it's such a good deal.

Been here a few times and service was fast and pricing was reasonable. I get my eyebrows naturally threaded and it comes out exactly how I want. Parking in this plaza is very easy, especially in right back lot of the business. If you are in the area or looking for a new eyebrow spot, it's worth trying!

The woman who helped me was focused and gentle. I was worried about pain or getting small cuts afterward, but thankfully I barely felt any pain and my eyebrows looked great afterward. Once she finished, she asked if I wanted aloe vera applied, which I appreciated. She gently rubbed aloe on my eyebrows and even gave me a mini massage around the area, which was super relaxing. I'm really happy with how my eyebrows turned out, especially for only $10. I'll definitely be coming back!

What more could you ask for? Wait, there's more. THE FULL BRAZILIAN WAS $30. Unheard of! And trust me, I know... I called around every reputable waxing spot you can think of in OC and LA. I've known about Nena's Waxing and their low prices for over a decade but never made the effort to come in. I should've come sooner because I'm so happy with my experience. The place is decently sized with several private waxing stations. Zero frills, straight to the point, and I left with flawless results. Their communication is great too! I sent a general inquiry through Yelp, then was contacted by Ashley directly. I was able to get in the very next day with no problem. Depending on who you schedule your wax with, you could get in as early as 8a or as late as 8p. AMAZING! Ashley is an extremely talented waxer! I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a Brazilian whether it's your first time or even if you're seasoned. She strategically uses a mix of soft and hard wax, and makes you feel like you're in good hands from the get. Talking to her felt like catching up with an old friend. Nena's Waxing is a little out of the way but I would gladly return for any of my waxing needs.

Those places, even when I would consistently get wax, never had the consistent workers. I decided to try Sea Spa which is just a 5 minute drive fr my house here in GG! And i am so happy that I decided to do so. Nancy did my Brazilian and was very detail oriented and quick. She used the hot wax and paper method with small sections. I appreciate the small sections she did! The salon it self was very inviting, beautiful, and relaxing. They offer other services like body and scalp massages, mani and pedis, and even lash extensions and semi permanent makeup. Cannot wait to schedule my next session!

Disappointing Salon Experience!!!! I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to the salon. I made an appointment to get my nails done in advance, only to get there and be left waiting for 40 minutes while all the attendants were busy. Even though I had booked in advance, there was no consideration for my time or the commitments I had after my visit to the salon. Unfortunately, I had to leave without receiving the service I scheduled because I was late for an important event, my aunt's wedding. This not only left me frustrated, but also made me feel disregarded as a customer. After all, trust and respect for the customer's time should be priorities in any service establishment. The fact that I left the salon without feeling pretty due to my poorly done nails only made the situation worse. As a client, I expected to leave the salon feeling confident and prepared for the event, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. I sincerely hope that the salon takes my experience into account and works to improve the organization and customer service. No one deserves to go through a situation like this, especially at important moments like a family wedding. read more

I've been coming here for months and this is my go-to nail place! I love coming here! This is a very special nail spa and you feel that immediately upon walking in and seeing their beautiful and cute decor. Once you're seated and you can feel comfortable right away and enjoy your service. The pedicure is my all-time favorite but i got manicure today and they also offer several signature pedis here as well. My nails look great every time and last forever.
