I honestly have to say I am in awe of some of the reviews posted on this site. I have been a client of Ruby Salon for a little over three years now. I have gotten anything from a brazilian blowout to threading done. Always done with great expertise and at a more than reasonable cost. The staff at this salon including the owners are always more than pleasant,professional.knowledable and very accomodating. They all always remember me by name and greet you like you're family. I have even received free services at more than one of their moroccan oil events.Those of us that know anything about said product know that its not cheap so to receive such an offer is unheard of. I have never had not one bad experience at this salon. As for those that say that they have I gaurantee if they took the time to speak with the owners that they would be sure to rectify any situation. In my experience the owners are very involved in all that goes on in their salon to ensure quality and to be sure their clientel is nothing less than pleased which is rare in my opinion.My salon visits have always been a pleasure and the owners are always there tending to any need or want you might have. Plus I always walk out looking and feeling nothing less than fabulous. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a high quality salon. They are amazing here and I would not trust anyone else. As far as I am concerned they are a cut above the rest. All of those that I have recommended to them have all come back thanking me for the recommendation. So even though some may have some outlandish things to say about Ruby Salon; I personally can not say enough great things about them!!! read more

I cannot say enough about Ruby Salon!! I made an appointment with Ruby for an updo for my nieces wedding and ended up having her do my makeup as well. Hair came out GORGEOUS makeup FABULOUS! Ruby took such care and spent so much time to make everything just perfect!! I have since returned twice, for haircuts.... The best I've had in many years. Recently brought my mother to have Ruby "fix" a bad haircut and color from another salon. As I expected, Ruby did her magic and has another new customer. I will recommend Ruby Salon to everyone! Thank You!! PS - I completely DISAGREE with Shana H.'s review. I went in asking Ruby for a permanent wave and they would NOT do it because they said it would harm my hair. They could have made $$ on an expensive process but instead she cut my hair in layers so that I would get the fullness I desired without the harsh chemicals. Their prices are VERY reasonable much less than I was paying at the salon I went to previously in Huntington Village. As far as Shana complaining about spending $200 - Not sure what she had done, but any decent salon on Long Island will charge at least $200 for a cut, color and highlights. I would like to know the salon on 5th Avenue in Manhattan where you can get ANYTHING done for $200 My experience with Ruby AND her husband was very friendly and pleasant and NOT pushy at all! read more

Fantastic! Just moved back to NY and finally hit the "Oh Boy! I need to have my hair cut & highlighted it's been too long!" saw some good reviews online for Ruby's so I figured it was worth a shot (and I assure you I was nervous about having my hair highlighted by someone new!). SO glad I went with Ruby's. GREAT customer service, very intent on finding out exactly what I wanted out of my haircut, very friendly..just an overall pleasant experience. Also noticed the interactions with other customers in there and they knew all the customers by name, and customers seemed to really enjoy going there. Haircut came out great, highlights great too! I will definitely be going back! As for this review below stating that the husband and wife kept pushing services at them, I didn't feel that at all! I paid less than I ever have for my full head highlights and was incredible happy with the results, they didn't push any services on me -in fact, I felt the process took longer than it ever has BUT that they really took time to do it right, and the cost was amazing. Best waxing experience that i have ever had.Honestly, the BEST Brazilian wax I've had.Supposedly the best waxing place in Huntington, famous for their Brazilians. I had to try it out and true enough, my specialist RUBY was quick and clean and very meticulous! I did not have to wait long, i was offered something to drink while I filled out my 1st-timers paperwork and waited for my specialist. They are very professional - I love the no double dipping policy! And they do something I've never had done before - the cold compress at the end. *WOOO!!!* The Brazilian was painful like a mother, since I hadn't done one in a while but the underarm was done surprisingly quick and had she threaded any strays! Likewise with the Brazilian. RUBY and TANVEER was very nice - chatted with me the whole way and made me feel comfortable, also gave me some tips when making my next appointment. I have been recently in New York and got a chance to visit Ruby Beauty Salon, it was a very pleasant experience overall. They are professional, motivated and awesome people offer great services, customer care and great atmosphere. Though not the lowest cost of this type of personal care in the metropolitan area, it was good value for money. Since it was very special event for us to attend wedding ceremony in New York, I was looking for a place to pamper myself after long journey all the way from Chicago. I'm super picky about my salons. (when I moved back to Long Island I was driving 2.5 hours back up to CT every time I wanted to get my hair cut or highlighted..until I tried this place!) Both times I've been in have been wonderful. Haircuts were great, they did just what I asked for. The highlights came out great both times, customer service is wonderful, the staff is very friendly, and they are incredibly professional. I've read some of the other reviews and can't put this place and those reviews together. They never pushed services over and above what I asked for, not once, and their pricing is really reasonable. Personally, I would recommend them to everyone and am pretty certain that if you go there you will walk out happy. =) read more

This was an amazing experience! I have been to many salons but the service provided at Ruby Salon was out standing. It was the highlight of my trip to NY. My hair and makeup looked perfect for the party . My hair stayed up all night and my make up didn't smear or get ruined at all throughout the party. I would recommend Ruby Salon to everyone visiting in the Huntington area. Ruby and Tanweer are absolutely amazing and so is their work. Ruby salon is great! Ive been getting my hair and eyebrows done here for over a year now and i truthfully give them an A+ rating the owners are very nice and friendly, they listen to everything i have to say when it comes to the way i want my eyebrows abs hair and they meet my every wish. There is no reason not to pick Tanveer as your hair stylist!! I will never choose another salon or another stylist. Tanveer has the best skill, personality, attitude and patience. He is the best hair stylist I have met so far. He designs a hair style that fit sme very well. I went here a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the service. Very attentive, efficient, and quick! I went for waxing and love the no double dipping. I expected to be there for 2 hrs getting waxed but was done in an hour. I didn't know what to do with my new found extra time so I got a haircut. I was very pleased overall. Had hair cut and high lite yesterday, it is amazing I love it she does amazing job. I recently tried this place, and have gotten so many compliments about my sleek hair.
