If I could give no stars I would. I've owned 8 prior Hyundai's with little to no issues but also got rid of them prior to 75,000 miles. Now realizing never again! Took Sante Fe in for engine stall, called 2 days later told it needed exhaust plugs $7600. Told be ready in a week. No loaner car. Almost 3 weeks later on a Friday told ready next Tuesday. Great. We'll that Monday called told bad news "Recommend new engine" Cylinder wall has scratching". $12,000. WTF. Vehicle 112,000 miles, out of warranty, nothing they would do. Spoke with the owner, "No Bueno" Not willing to help, nothing. Decided to get the new engine due to still owing a substantial amount. Still no loaner car. Told they would order the long block, ready probably 2 weeks. Finally loaner car for 1 week. better then nothing. Called for balance, $500 higher then given prior and specified "It would not change". WTF. Picked up, drove home, examining engine. Again WTF. Filthy engine and best thing. LOW on oil, over a quart. Ridiculous when just paid, "$11,500. We purchased a new Ioniq 5 from Spokane Hyundai. During our final walk around, we found broken glass under the seat. They denied any knowledge of issues. We had already signed the papers so we took it home. The next day we realized there was broken glass embedded throughout the carpet and we couldn't keep the car. We went to return the car and the weekend "manager" told us a strange tale about how the car had been lost in transit, and who knows what could have occurred, and hadn't our salesperson told us about that? We were originally going to purchase a similar car from Spokane Hyundai, but the dishonesty followed by very unprofessional behavior from the "manager" lost our business. I emailed the general sales manager and sales manager to inform them of their employee's lack of customer service and lack of professionalism and never received a reply. read more

My husband's friend called this dealer regarding a used 2012 Frontier. He had been talking to a woman salesperson and had asked her to hold the vehicle for him. We live in Montana. He and my husband drove the 3 hours to get there and when they showed up to purchase the truck they were told that the dealership put a ceramic coating and a security system on the vehicle without asking. The price was going to be substantially more than the agreed upon price. Our friend said they didn't want that on the truck and were told that was too bad. If they wanted the truck they had to pay for the upgrades they did not ask for. This is fraud and corruption. I would not recommend shopping there ever. read more

Absolutely the WORST service department I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The most incompetent advisors and shop workers to exist. This is the third time I've had to take my vehicle in there and they have messed up yet again. First time my car sat there all day long without them even touching it that day. Was out my car two days for a job that takes an hour. Second time, same exact thing didn't touch my car till 4pm and the advisors have zero communication don't tell you anything until the end of the day when they wanna tell you OOPSIE we didn't get to your car yet again you're out another day. Now this time it's supposed to be a simple latch repair of my trunk door, texted us last week saying the part was there were good to go. If I was a gambler I could have bet millions on this because surprise surprise, they messed up AGAIN. My appointment was at 845, they text at 11 saying oh dang it's the wrong part. Why are they so incompetent, do you not check that. So now again they want me to be without my car for two days for a job that takes 45 min. It's actually embarrassing at this point how poorly ran that service department is and in my opinion every single one of them should be fired because they can't do their job right if the fate of the world depended on it read more

Do not bring your car here if you like to read papers you sign or if you like to be treated respectfully by service staff. Brought the car in for some service campaigns and a couple other things on October 27, 2023, which we could have/should have gotten done elsewhere. When it came time to pick up the vehicle, a person called 'Rob' plopped a stack of papers in front of me and said to sign them. I began to read the documents and after a few seconds he asked if I had any questions. "I don't know. I have not had a chance to read these." "Well, what are your questions?" "I don't know. I will let you know." Rob then went over to his co-worker's desk and, as if I could not hear him, said, "I don't know. He wants to read all the documents." A couple minutes later, Rob returned, obviously annoyed, and asked what my questions were and if I was going to read all the papers. "It's not that important. It is just for the accounting department," he said. "If it is not that important, why do I have to sign them?" "If you do not sign them, we will not turn over the car to you." "Well, if I have to sign them, then I will read them. Do you just sign papers you have no idea what they say?" Rob snatched the papers away and walked away. I asked where the car was and he said it was waiting outside. 1) Why was my car left idling outside unattended? 2) If the papers needed to be signed, why was I allowed to take the vehicle without signing the papers? 3) If the papers absolutely needed to be signed, did Rob forge my signature to satisfy accounting? A member of my team called the next day to complain to Rob about the treatment I received. Rob's excuse was that they were under time restraint pressures and were stressed by the construction that had been taking place at the shop. We all have time restraints and pressures at work. That is no excuse to take it out on paying customers. This part is so trivial but speaks to the quality of the work, assuming the work was even done, since no one was able to show me the work. One of the service campaigns involved putting a sticker on the two front door windows. On one side the sticker is parallel to the window channel, the other side is parallel to the ground. It is as if a 7-year-old just slapped them on. With that little attention to detail, it makes me wonder what else was done sloppily. This will be the last time we voluntarily bring a vehicle to this spot. It pains me to drive to Midway Hyundai in Post Falls, but maybe they treat their customers with respect. read more

Let me share my experience. I want people to be prepared going in. So, last winter I have an issue with no crank no start. I get the battery checked twice and I'm told it's still good. I receive a latter from Hyundai that my vehicle may need a fuel pump assembly and to take it in to local dealer. First off no answer at the service department. I call the next day and I explain the letter and already reluctant to help. I'm told I can't speak to a service writer because they are slammed. I'm told they will get back to to me when they can. I ask for a time frame. We don't have one. I just need to make an appointment and that's way too much to ask. I was hung up on before being able to make an appointment. I leave a message and I get a call to get an appointment. I explain the reason I am coming is because the letter I got from Hyundai. I arrive and I am acknowledged. I start speaking with Service writer Steve I believe, and he is immediately defensive because I hand him a letter that Hyundai gave me. I have another Hyundai article to share with him as it relates to this vehicle and describes the issue I'm having. He tells me he doesn't like me giving him stuff from the internet. Tells me he won't help because it's a cost to the dealer. I explain car won't start when it's cold this letter describes no crank/no start. Why would I wait until it won't start to have it towed here for an intermittent issue? He doesn't want to help so he leaves talks to someone and decides he will look at it now. I explain I'm not here for free stuff I don't understand why you are being unreasonable. I wouldn't come to the dealer for fun trust me. Another employee walks me to the waiting area and I tell him I know he's your buddy, but why is he acting that way because I handed him some articles from Hyundai related to my issue? I'm told he's having a hard time and he's like that sometimes. Not acceptable to act this way in customer service. I wait 10 mins and another guy comes over and explains the tests show it's the battery. Keep in mind I just had battery checked and was told it's good. He explains they have a deeper test that shows battery isn't good and shows me the results. I told him about the first guy and he also says that's how he is. Absolutely blows my mind you are ok with your co worker behaving that way in customer service. They seem to blow off that I was treated like shit. So battery is $350 plus tax and labor. I'm told they won't charge diagnostics. It is a common practice not to charge for diagnostics if you pay for repair so that deceptive. They have to get a battery because they don't stock em. 45 mins later Im walked out. I ask should I be concerned about the extended warranty issue or be aware of warning signs. He was busy looking at photos on his phone and said No. I wouldn't expect anything to happen. Hyundai just likes to scare people. I highly doubt Hyundai cares to take the time to send letters about known issue to your vehicle with VIN # just to scare me. I also notice they are no genuine when being nice. As soon as you ask a question they go off script and REALLY could care less to empathize with the customer. Yet I need to understand their co worker is having a hard time. Absolutely disrespectful. I could give more details but this is already way too long. Unless it's a warranty thing or this battery fails I won't come back here. I drove 2 hours from Lewiston, ID to checkout the used Ram Rebel 1500s. The white one had a huge tear in the driver's seat and they were still asking $35K. The black one had lifter knocking and the other black one had a huge cracked windshield Not to mention was in a mild/moderate accident. Honestly my most positive car buying experience ever. Bought a used Ford Truck from these guys and was given very fair, transparent, and respectful treatment. There was no BS, just a salesman trying to help me find the car I was looking for. Immediately after I purchased the truck. The key fobs completely stopped working. They worked when I walked off the lot and they had no obligation to help me, but they took the truck back, figured out what was wrong, and paid for two brand new keys that were cut and programmed and ready to go for me, didn't charge me a cent. This was a used Ford that I was buying from a Hyundai dealership, they had no obligation to fix this for me, but they did. It's a level of service I've never seen at a car dealership and they clearly take pride in their brand as a dealership. Good people, I couldn't be more pleased. read more

We were looking for a specific model of Hyundai, which the is dealership showed on their website. It was actually still in transit which really wasn't an issue as they had comparable models on site. First, I know I'm a bit old school, but having the salesperson appear to be more from the skate park than from a business is sad. A sign of the times though. We asked for some pricing including some rebates, that would reflect APR for both their best and what we had approved on our own. What we got handed to us did not reflect the rebates, and included several 'adds' that were not discussed. It amounted to several thousand dollars of extra costs. When going over the page the salesman just sort glided right over these costs, diving straight to the monthly payment. I asked them for a re-do minus these charges which they mostly did. Two of the items were not removed, and again, no rebates reflected. It really felt like the old school quick sell and slide one by the customer. The dealership interior is spacious, yet stark white and not very inviting. We decided against a purchase here so we didn't look around much to see what the service and parts departments looked like. read more

We purchased a 2019 Hyundai Tucson from Carmax, but according to their "policy" they would not show us the inspection report on the car. So, just to have peace of mind within the Carmax return window, we took it over to Spokane Hyundai and they were wonderful! They did a full inspection (everything was good) plus took care of a software update that the car needed and even showed us the features we have on our car. The minute my friend walked through the door she was handed off to three different salesman- No One wanted to help her. The finance dept was stellar, but when your salesperson is the gate keeper to reviews, this dealer gets 1 Star. I've purchased 4 Hyundai's new, amazing cars. All in Kirkland, WA except this one. Our trade in was low-balled, credit was pulled for a car not on the lot. Salesperson didn't know product levels of cars, resulting in a poor experience and didn't verify add-ons. Salesperson was wearing a gator mask exposed his nose and mouth 80% of the four hours we were there. And the kicker, I'm supposed to pay my first payment in 10 days. We sent paystubs within 24h of signing the loan, and the finance dept for billing 30 days later never got our paystubs. We asked to speak with a sales manager, he never called us back. Our reason for the call, sales people are bonused on surveys. During COVID we don't want to hinder someone's livelihood, so we'll submit a good survey but it's important to know our experience. Everyone else we interacted with was mask compliant, helpful and responsible, they made the sale. I was ready to walk when we were almost sold a lower value car. read more

I went to a different, very honest, and very good shop and they said the bolts were never tightened down after the Spokane Hyundai alignment was performed. Well,4 new tires (mount and balance) and another alignment ended up costing me $750 that I didnt plan for during a pandemic. My husband talked to the service center at Spokane Hyundai and the guy instantly said "it's not our fault, many things can cause this". Then he had the stones to complain that he was having a bad day because people were mad at him. Will never, ever, ever buy anything else from this place nor will I ever have service done there. I scheduled a service appointment for a recall online because I couldn't get through to anyone on the phone on a weekday and of course the service center is closed on weekends. I didn't receive any confirmation, even though the form says you'll be contacted, and tried calling them to confirm, but again couldn't get through to anyone in the service area. I finally received a text the evening before my appointment. I showed up 20 minutes early, at check in the rep saw what I was there for and said it would be a while but to sit in the waiting area. An hour and a half after my appointment time he came to get me and said they don't have the part in stock and they'll call me later for an appointment. I asked if anything else was done since I'd been there for almost two hours at this point and he said he didn't know, the techs were at lunch. Then he said this was all because I'd made the appointment online, so they didn't check to make sure they had the part like they would have if I'd made it on the phone. So that's it! An appointment made weeks in advance, unable to contact them about it, several hours of wages lost at work, just to be told I have to take more time off later for the same problem. read more

It was time to upgrade my F150 and I found one here I was very interested in. Had everything I needed for an ok price. Called the night before and stopped by the next day. When we got there, it was clear that they hadn't sprayed off the truck or even started it in a very long time. First issue came up when the $1000 factory installed tonneau cover was missing. I mentioned it right away and the salesman promised that they would make it right. I was told 2 different stories about what happened to the cover, one person said that it was damaged so they removed it and the other said it'd been stolen. So clearly they are either making it up or lying at this point. But I was told it would be made right. Later the same day, they refused to replace or drop the price even a fraction of the cost of the cover. Refused to budge an inch. In my opinion, if there's pictures of the cover and listed in the description they should be responsible for that. False advertising? The left front tire was also at 20 psi at test drive. I was told that it's because it's winter, but obviously not the case it was a slow leak. The tires on the truck probably would have lasted me 6 months, and had almost no traction. Also noted that the auto tailgate release wasn't properly working. Not a huge deal, I'll fix it. But of course I asked for the tire to be fixed, to have a discount on new tires through them, or a drop in price. Feeling like I was being pretty reasonable at this point. So feeling a bit discouraged, I head home to think it over and look at other options. Ultimately, I decide that I am still interested in the truck as I'm willing to pay a higher price for something that I really want. I buy the truck and drive off the lot. Tire goes flat within a week, I reach out to the person I had been working with through the whole sale multiple times, NEVER hear back. Took it to a tire shop turns out tires not worth fixing, tpms sensors are bad too. 2K later... Overall, I would give one star because I love my truck, and I'll add a star for the nice lady who reached out to me to fix the tailgate, but I had already fixed it by then. Advice to Spokane Hyundai: if you are going to claim to be a family owned business who always strives to do the right thing and wants me to be a customer for life (exact words of the salesman); and make promises that you will make it right, maybe you should actually follow through. Disappointed and will not be a customer for life unfortunately. In this instance, all they cared about was taking my money. read more

She was not at all pushy, treated my daughter with respect, and quickly committed to fixing a couple of minor items. My daughter loves her new SUV, and was pleased enough with the sales experience to refer Heidi to a friend. Ive never had to leave a review like this but my experience disturbed me so much I need to take action. The bigotry and homophobia of the sales employees are why this company is losing customers. Look on Reddit and you'll find this is not an isolated incidence and company wide they are being sued for prejudice. You'd think their employees would be trained in anti discrimination and harassment. First, we overheard sales employees openly mocking trans people on the sales floor and my partner and I immediately felt like we were being targeted. Bryan or Ryan the sales manager made us feel completely unwelcome. My partner and I drove into spokane from out of town, visiting family and were looking to help my mother with a car. They only do business with heteros though, apparently. Will not be going back and will also tell our friends within the community to steer clear. This is not how you do business in 2023. Worst experience with a car dealership in my life. Had an agreement they would fix a problem with a used car in writing. The service department calls me and says it will cost me $1,500 to fix. I said it was in my contract to have it fixed. I was told I would get a call back. Finally after they were about to close for the day, I called and talked to a sales manager and he said that the mechanic didn't know what he was talking about and that it was the sound of a normal engine. I said no you need to fix it and then I was told to come sign papers and they would take the car back or he would give me a $500 credit. WHAT????? Told him I was on my way and he said they were backed up and to come in the next morning. They didn't have time for all of the paper work. Come to find out, that service manager left for vacation the next day and didn't have the professionalism to deal with the situation. I signed 1 piece of paper that took 2 minutes. To Angie I will try not to make this to-long but I want to make sure that you know how we feel about our entire transaction, from start to finish with you Angie and Spokane Hyundai. We were in the market for a big truck to pull my 5thwheel and we knew exactly what we wanted. It had to be a Diesel, 4x4 and we preferred used. We searched every lead we could from small local papers to car lots within a 200 mile radius and after about 2 months we still could not find the perfect match. You see when you purchase "used" you could be buying someone else's problems, so we knew we had our work cut for us. There is no room for mistakes. We saw a 2015 F250 listed with low miles and immediately it caught our attention. The year was right and the miles were low, and believe it or not the price was at the low-end of the Blue Book so everything checked out. One problem, it was at a used car lot, and this made no sense a ford f250 at Spokane Hyundai. We have all heard horror stories when someone buys someone else's problems, so being cautious was an understatement. With nothing to lose I inquired on line with the "someone will contact you" promise and someone did, almost immediately. I was impressed. I spoke with Angie and the conversation was exactly what I did not expert. She was pleasant to speak with and without any pressure gave some information about this truck. This was a Saturday. I became very interested and, you know when you have that intuition that this is a good thing, well, that's what I had. I mentioned to her that I would like to come down and look at it on Sunday and if she was working. She replied that it is her day off but if I was going to drive 30 miles to get there, she would come in for us. WOW, so let me see what is going on. A perfect truck so far and a perfect conversation. It almost sounds too good to be true. At the car lot, we took some time and went through the truck with the knowledge that I had and it looked good. We told Angie, we were very interested and, I will never forget this, she replied "go home and think about it" and that they would hold it, if I asked them too. I was beginning to see their confidence in the quality of the truck they had listed. We returned the following day after a good night's rest and was reviewing the previous day. We found the perfect and found the perfect car lot and was speaking with the perfect person for us. We were wondering if this was real. Our intuition told us to get it and that's what we did. Upon arriving at my house I arranged to have my new truck put on a lift and thoroughly gone through from brakes to compression. Final analysis "someone took care of this truck and they could find no issues and had no recommendations. We could not be happier. In summary, we would have never imagined that the Inventory, Quality and Honesty would be found at a used car lot, but it was. We want to thank Spokane Hyundai and especially Angie for making our Experience beyond wonderful and yes we recommend them, and Angie? It does not get any better! What a bunch of shysters, they sold my dad a car that they said was AWD. Turned out to be FWD. So once he discovered this he traded it in on a AWD model at a different dealership. Unfortunately he also bought the extended warranty with the old car and of course like any other common sense person he wanted to cancel the warranty. Of course when he reached out to Spokane Hyundai they gave him the runaround telling him this is handled through the warranty company. Wrong--they have to cancel is it since they are the initiators. Now he had to hire a lawyer to get Spokane Hyundia's attention, they won't return his calls now. By the way, he's 87 years old. Way to take care of your customers you scumbags. Avoid this place like it has the plague. read more

This place is a joke! I have a car for sale and they wanted to buy it. I told them I wasn't interested in a low ball / trade-in type offer. They told me they could possibly get close to asking price once they see vehicle. I drove 27 miles each way to get an offer that was less that 40% of my asking price. Very misleading, typical car salesman type, not very personable or helpful. Rhett, you should rethink your ethics. read more

My girlfriend went through her bank and got an approval letter and a check. All we had to do was find something we liked and give them the check. Hyundai finance found a way to make that seem impossible. After still running a credit app again even though we had approval through our bank, they also made us wait for 2+ hours before we could even sign docs and pick it up the next day when we could get a cashiers check since our other check wasn't good enough for them. We live 2 hours away so the sales rep asked for approval to drop the truck off once we got the check first thing in the morning. We got the check, then they told us they could not deliver it. We said okay and asked for next day. No reply. We called to speak with management and he just gave us an attitude and said we need to pick it up. The attitude started once they figured out they messed up on the price and sold it way under msrp. I do not recommend this dealer for the attitude and treatment we got. read more

Thanks to TJ and the crew for helping us buy the 2014 Ford Expedition this week. That was the most painless car buying experience ever for us. They answered every question so we went ahead and decided they were the dealership to use and to buy that SUV when we know it is hard to find these vehicles in great shape. We found a few things wrong on the new truck and they are fixing them for us so the car is there for a few minor things including detailing and a full tank of gas. We are picking up the low miles Expedition or our very large SUV soon. It was in great shape and not tired so I knew that car was the one for us and so did my husband. I had searched online for car features and once we drove it we bought it on the spot with the financing they found which was better than what we have, etc. They do not work on commissions either so they get paid even if a customer does not buy so no pressure for their customers. Just being helpful to their customers is working for them. Keep it up! I recommend them and we have not even gotten our new, used car yet. Thanks for not twisting our arms and giving up high book value on our trade in as well. read more
