This review is for Wow Boa, a dark kitchen run by Ruby Tuesday for delivery only via GrubHub. I was not wowed. In fact the meal I received was super disappointing and quite frankly, a well designed ruse to rip off unwitting GrubHub patrons. The amount of food as minuscule and the presentation was not unlike dog vomit on a small mound of rice. The boa were so hard, they could not be chewed or swallowed. I have literally had TV dinners that were a quarter of the price, twice the portion, and way better tasting. After checking in we had time to kill before our flight food court was closed so this was the only real option available to eat. Once inside & seated we started with some drinks stuck to soft drinks Sprite & Ginger Ale were good. Appetizers we had the Mozzarella sticks these were very good, nice & crispy good amount of cheese. I had the Grilled chicken sandwich w tater tots , nice tasting chicken , tater tots were good as well. Hubby had the Bacon cheeseburger w fries, good burger , good fries too. Decent size place, they offer some outside seating, service was good our waitress was nice & attentive, reasonable prices for what we had we enjoyed our food. read more

Really great customer service! (Not a typical comment for airport restaurants, I know) Seriously, all the staff are happy and helpful and actually look like they are enjoying their jobs. Ashley was my waitress and she checked in with me multiple times, cleared plates as needed (I feel like they usually just sit there uncleared until the table is needed at most places these days). Stopped in yesterday while our flight was delayed. Super busy, but all the waitresses were very festive in their headbands! My waitress name was Trinity, she was very friendly and helpful and got our drinks out quickly. I ordered the chicken, it was a little overcooked but not awful. Dropped in for a couple of drinks while waiting on my flight. This is the only place I saw in the airport to grab a drink; so it was crowded, but there was one chair at the bar available. I got to the chair and grabbed it before another guy that was running for it. Service was good at first, but there was a shift change between drinks the new bartender wasn't as attentive to her customers as the one before. I've had really great service each time I've been here! I love the fresh salad bar, and the prices aren't "airport prices" like most place are. The service was good. Fast and friendly. They understand that people are on the go and need to get to their gate on time. The food was fine - at least there is a little something for everyone here. The food and drinks are worthy of 4 stars (as compared to other Ruby Tuesday's), but their service is, for lack of a better word, indifferent. The hostess had a look of disdain on her face when somebody asked her to bring a few chairs to a table that had... ZERO CHAIRS! The bartender never asked me if I wanted a menu. Came in with low expectations. After all,as the only sit down place at the airport, they have no incentive to provide a quality meal. And so they don't! And were actually unable to meet even my lowest expectations. Starting with the burger. The beef was cooked properly but had a strange aftertaste. Also, it crumbled when I picked up the sandwich. The combination of undercooked bacon and overcooked cheese (the former was soft and fatty, the latter hard and crunchy) made a bad burger into a horrible one. The roll was soggy and it too fell apart. Chicken Caesar Salad...raw chicken, enough said. Service was good, actually great. Kid's sundae was enjoyed by my son. I did not get dessert. Hey!!! It's the only restaurant in the airport. The other food service entities are stands or kiosks. I've eaten here only due to delays. They uphold the Ruby Tuesday standard of any location so just expect what you get everywhere else. The service is acceptable lacking little yet again I am jaded being a restaurant and food snob I've seen better. This is not a complaint more of an observation with a caveat about my above usual expectations. The food that I have had in the past and today has been acceptable as well. A decent product for a chain joint. This visit has me enjoying a breakfast Casa Dilla and I did enjoy it. I will not condemn or recommend this place it's the only game in town so readers of this yelp will be forced to eat here or drink here. It could be worse, this could be an Applebee's... I'd give 3.5 if available. It beats some national chains in some ways (but not all). I was surprised to see they had the garden bar open- but they required everyone to put on gloves while serving themselves and took other precautions. We didn't eat the salad bar this time but...it is clearly one of the best small salad bars around, I think. Great ingredients for a regular greens-based salad but also many types of other salads. Food was ok-- typical chain choices, with a bit of everything. Decent burgers, I thought-- and they did NOT pour on salt heavily like some do. My biggest issues were slow service (partly due to pandemic staffing issues, I'm sure...but if you open, you've got to have enough staff) and a woeful, woeful selection of draft beers. They had "just run out" of one decent choice...but clearly never had many good beers to start with, on tap. I don't mind eating here at all but would not go out of my way for it, really. This is unfortunately the only restaurant/business in the Knoxville (TYS) airport that serves much of anything, including alcohol... That's right, it's the only place that serves alcohol drinks while you're waiting 4+ hours for your delayed Allegiant flight... and this place is perpetually understaffed. The staff that IS there (you can usually only see one person, moving slower than molasses in January), is typically most unhelpful and not personable or friendly. You can't even walk up to a bar and order anything, rather, you need to wait in a line that spreads out into the hallway... Waiting forever... For them to give you a chair... And then you get to wait another 30 minutes before anyone even makes eye contact with you. Then you get a badly-made drink and 'mehhh' food that is grossly overpriced. This rinky-dink airport definitely needs more options for travelers, especially given the fact that most of the small airlines that fly in and out of TYS clearly hold the world record for delayed/canceled flights and leave many travelers sitting for hours hungry, thirsty, bored, and irritated over and over again. (This review is from a person who's flown 1-2 Per month, every month for several years in and out of this airport.) read more

After I got my coffee I wanted a warm breakfast sandwich. Between Quiznos and Ruby Tuesdays, I settled on Ruby Tuesdays. They not only have a sit down breakfast (but nothing caught my eye) but 5 or 6 different breakfast sandwich types to go. For only $3.50! At a airport! I couldn't believe it after paying $10 at SFO. I was debating between a sausage/egg/cheese biscuit or crossaint. Of course I asked the worker and she said their biscuits were pretty darn good. Done deal! I was surprised the biscuit was larger than what I had expected (i.e. KFC size) and it was one of the best fast food breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Craving one now! read more

Been sitting here for over 30 mins trying to pay the bill.....don't want to walk out, but not gonna miss flight either. Having about an hour and half to wait for my delayed flight, I found that there was no better option than to relax at Ruby Tuesday's, the only place to enjoy yourself with a drink or few. I had a more unlucky experience this time around as there seemed to be an electrical problem that meant that no real food would be served. Strangest reason I've ever seen. Anyhow, I didn't really care for food and just stuck with drinks. Fortunately, there were actually a couple local TN brews for me to try out (Blackhorse IPA and the Wicked Weed Brewing Lunatic Blonde). Both were in cans and they ended up being pretty solid. I wish this particular Ruby Tuesday's (or really any in general) offered some of the local breweries in the state (I'd recommend Yee-Haw for those interested), but I can't complain too much. Additionally, I give credit to the bartenders who kept a positive attitude even though they obviously couldn't serve any real food to anyone. For $5/beer, I guess it's a decent price for airport drinks. It's not like you have a choice anywhere else. The best part is the service. Everyone is delightful! Especially Amy, our server. We love the Tennessee charm, y'all really make us feel like we're amongst family!! We shared an amazing crispy chicken sandwich than can be spicy or non (we opted spicy and it did not disappoint!) and even the pickles were super yummy. There are not really many choices to eat in this airport. But I was surprised about the food here! I ordered the Peppercorn sirloin with grilled zucchini and onion rings. The sirloin was perfectly cooked as medium, even better than some steakhouse! The onion rings were fried too much though... I didn't like them... The only problem I had there was that the waitress got too busy. I waited 5 mins for her to take my order, and another 10 to have my check. During my lunch, she didn't even stop by and check on me....That's the reason I got 1 star off. Overall, the food is great! read more

This was a 5-star experience not expected. Most airport chain restaurants offer a mediocre meal at best. I had some time at the Knoxville airport and was craving a burger, so I opted for the Ruby Tuesday near my departure gate. It was off to a great start when my server, Charmaine, greeted me immediately and gave me the option of choosing a seat outside or being seated inside. I chose to sit outside and she promptly brought me a menu. I ordered quickly and food arrived soon after. A classic cheeseburger cooked to a perfect medium, not overdone like some. And here's the kicker- tater tots were an option! Charmaine was an excellent server. Her genuine hospitality and desire to provide the best guest experience made this experience outstanding. Next time I'm traveling through Knoxville I'll make a point of eating here, not just by chance. read more

A serious problem with service and attitude at this airport Ruby Tuesdays. Bartender wanted to make sure that you know that he's in charge. He used that "charming" Southern approach of being disingenuously polite while really being a bit of an ass. They have a "card everyone" policy which, while frustrating, is tolerable when presented the right way. His response when I politely questioned the policy was to brusquely ask me, "do you want the beer bud or not?" Not a particularly friendly approach, and one designed to squelch even polite questioning. They only serve beer at this bar, no wine, no spirits...hence, probably the reason why they're "waiting for their license." After I spoke briefly and politely to the manager, suddenly he became chirpy, friendly and polite to everyone...demonstrating to everyone, of course, just what a swell guy he is...and conversely, of course, what a dick I am. I hate this sort of passive aggressive crap. Good luck being stuck at TYS as this is your only choice for libations. Reroute now through another city! read more

Sadly disappointed at the service level, food quality and COVID protections at this Airport location. Wait staff did wear masks but little distancing between seating, and the salad bar was OPEN to self serve! Only condiment served with sandwiches was ketchup... out of pickles ( how is that possible? ) no tater tots at 5:30 pm. Took 45 minutes to order & eat then over 15 minutes to get a check... had to ask another server to get our check. They did seem to give attention to those diners who were having adult beverages. The place was recommended to us by our La Quinta shuttle driver, so sorry, we forgot her name (probably due to the awesome wine!) Hope y'all stop in for an excellent meal and great service as soon as you can! Make sure you ask for Sam. She's friendly, professional and knows her menu. Hope management rewards her with some kind of special recognition. She's a great representative for the Ruby Tuesday brand! I will give this one a 4 star review on my airport restaurant scale. I think if this was out in a strip mall in the greater knoxville area, it would be a 3 at best. Service was not overly cheery, but was attentive. Could have been that the group next to me (that she was also serving) were being boorish in their behavior. No need to be d**ks, gentlemen. You give business travelers a bad name. Food was surprisingly good. After a long day, got a tall beer, some texas dry rub (?) style ribs and fries. It was exceeded my expectations. Got to the airport a little early and popped in here for a small bite and a couple drinks before flying home. We were seated right away and the place was less than half full. Before we left the place got packed. From the beginning to the end of our hour here we were not neglected by our waiter ( I wish I recalled his name). I chose their salad bar and the wife ordered chicken tenders. She inquired about the chicken tenders, wanting to know if they were real pieces of chicken or processed chicken strips. She was informed they were true pieces of chicken, and they were, unlike so many other places! The chicken was TENDER and the sauce upon them very good. She liked it very much. The salad bar was FRESH and well maintained while we were there. I enjoyed everything I added to my salad, which they offered an array of components. The blue cheese dressing looked and tasted home made. I was very impressed. There are not very many options to eat at this airport, but I highly recommend this place if you are in a position to have to wait for your flight and are hungry or thirsty. The large beer is pretty large, so make sure you give yourself time to take a whizz before you depart - unless you don't mind struggling to do so on an airplane! Travelers Beware: My wife and I arrived at the airport very early so we decided to have our own happy hour at this location. We had a less than stellar experience at the Ruby Tuesday's in the Orlando International Airport a few years ago but this is the only bar and sit down restaurant in the airport here. Things started out fine. My wife and I are usually very patient and understanding with food service businesses since we are both in the industry ourselves. I ordered a shot of Jameson and a Yuengling draft, she ordered a shot of Fireball and an Angry Orchard bottle. At the same time we ordered the Philly cheesesteak potstickers. Service was friendly. The potstickers came out timely and were satisfactory. After we finished, the bartender took our plate and we aired for our main courses. This is where everything went downhill fast. After taking our plate, the bartender disappeared completely. As my wife and I sat there talking, she gasped and pointed to the bar in front of me where a German cockroach made its appearance. As it scurried across the bar top, I grabbed the closest thing to me, which was a ketchup bottle and crushed it and left the bottle where it was so as other people couldn't see the mess. We obviously had completely lost our appetite because where there is one German cockroach, there are always thousands more. So we planned to cancel our food order, but we were unable to do so because the bartender still had not returned from wherever he went. We watched our food be placed in the service window and waited to speak to someone. Finally another employee noticed the bartenders absence and brought our plates out. Before he set them down we told him we wanted to cancel the order and asked for our bartender. He took the plates back and a manager came out and began bartending. When he made his way to us we told him he reason we cancelled and he made a joke about the cockroach... he jokingly asked if we were sure we didn't want the roach added to the food as they are a great source of protein. Listen, I get it. You want to try to make light of a heavy situation and connect with people. But I run a bar and kitchen. If someone brought a pest like that to my attention, I would be embarrassed beyond belief. He apologized and said he would take care of it. In the meantime, the bartender had finally returned and the manager did not inform him of the cockroach and the bartender did not ask why we cancelled our food order. The lack of communication was shocking. I had to tell the bartender when we asked for our check that there was a dead cockroach under the ketchup container on the bar and he may want to clean it up which he did right away. Thank God. The whole experience was very strange and awkward and disappointing. Needless to say, it was the nail in the coffin for any future visits to any Ruby Tuesday's location. read more

I need to give this place 5 stars for the service. I travel though many airports every week and it always amazes me that the server doesn't ask if you have a time constraint. Joshua asked me that when I first sat down. This stop I definitely didn't have to worry too much as I had an hour and a half, but the fact that he asked in an airport environment is kuddos to him. When I asked him what sides I can have instead of fries, he not only gave me options but recommended the zucchini which was as perfectly simple as he said, and went will with a burger. We came in for dinner and had a very nice but not very attentive server. To make this short my chicken bowl came on a plate that had old food crusted around the top of it. My wife's door came out without everything on it that was supposed to come with it. We watched our 2 plates sit under the heat lamps for almost 10 min while the server talked to a couple guys there.
