Pretty disappointing burger. Being carnivore, I only eat the patty. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was equivalent of one strip and was not cooked crispy at all. Almost no flavor. Burger was small. Cheddar cheese was good. I don't eat potatoes so I asked if there were any no carb options. I ended up with an extra slice of cheddar as my option. I got the lettuce, tomato and onion on the side. If I cared about tomatoes I would be upset. Two tiny tomato slices, one red and the other pale and looking unripe. Again Tiny. Pickles were good. All in all, after tip paying close to $20 for a relatively small burger is just not worth it. I debated 2 or 3 stars but need to keep it real; RT is now just another very average chain restaurant, and 3 stars represents the mediocrity. Actually I'd say the food we ate there was fine; nothing special or unique but solid, decent. Wife had bourbon-glazed salmon and I had a cajun chicken with shrimp. Our problems came elsewhere. Items on the menu not available, long waits between points of service, bill with errors- just too many small things like that. The place was not at all crowded, so that was not the reason for any such issues. One suggestion-- reduce the clutter! I think each of us had THREE menu pages to look at-- regular menu, special menu (with many of the same items in the regular menu), drink menu which I believe also had items of the regular menu...just too much clutter there. The server was nice, but didn't seem to know what items came with each entree, messed up the final bill (3 entrees for 2 people-- not something you shouldn't notice pretty quickly), and as I said, was not around at many points. Again, I realize it's just a chain restaurant. For a few dollars more we could have had more creative food, better service and more options for drinks that were available. read more

This restaurant is very close to my home and has gone thru many ups and downs. Currently there is a new manager - Ryan. He's built new morale, the people are working very hard, and the customer is first and foremost. My wife and I noticed a big uptick in the service and friendliness of the place. Service was extremely slow and it wasn't even busy. We waited several minutes just to get seated and there wasn't anyone else waiting. When someone finally came over, they took their time bringing us to a table cuz they kept getting side tracked. As we walked to our table, we passed the salad bar and it looked awful, not fresh at all. We get to the table, we ordered 2 iced teas, took almost 10 minutes to get them. Put our order in and all we got was the appetizer trio.....2 hamburger sliders, 4 mozzarella sticks and 4 chicken tenders, we only got 2 tenders cuz they forgot to cook 4.....after 5 minutes, we got the other 2. We then ordered 2 desserts, a funnel cake sundae and the brownie sundae.....5 minutes later, the manager came over with just the brownie sundae and told us they ran out of the funnel cake. We just said forget it and shared the one dessert. He was kind enough to take the dessert we did get, off the bill. I would also like to add that it was very dirty. The floor had garbage and food droppings all over it, like it hadn't been swept all day. The floor was also sticky and had a couple spill marks that nobody cleaned up. Employees were eating off to the side, totally visible to the customers, and they were the wait staff. I haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday in years because they closed all of them where we're from so, I was like "cool, let's go"......should have talked myself out of it cuz! My wife and I stopped in here after our flight was canceled. The last time we visited, they didn't have my favorite dish- New Orleans Seafood. This time, I immediately asked if they had it because I would leave if they didn't. They did. I ordered the New Orleans Seafood with the salad bar. My wife ordered only the salad bar. We made our salad and started. My fish arrived, and I ate about half of it, and then I noticed I couldn't cut the fish. It was rubbery. The thinnest portions of the fish were flaky and cooked. The thicker parts of the fish were not cooked. Then I looked deeper and saw a couple of the shrimp were translucent- not cooked. I stopped. The waitress arrived, and I told her the fish wasn't cooked. She offered to have another one cooked, but I declined. I felt it best to cut my losses. Anyway, we got our check, and yes, they charged us the full price. We left and headed home. As we were arriving home, both of our stomachs started acting up. We spent the night in gastric distress. I just came through and visited this location, and was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the crispy chicken Mac n cheese, and was given a healthy portion served hot and fresh in a timely manner. The restaurant was very clean as well as the bathrooms. The staff was very polite and cheerful and my server Haley was awesome. When my cell phone was about to die, a beautiful manager lady found a charger for me to use until I finished my meal. So I came in on a flight at TYS. We stopped at Ruby Tuesday for a bite on our way home. We asked for a booth and we were ushered to a wall w 3 booths. The middle one being full we were asked which one. We took the one on the left in the corner. We ordered and it took 45 mins to get our food. My husbands had been sitting under the hot lights so long it was all dry on top. The only thing right was my burger. My tater tots were cold. When I asked her about it and why another table that we were offered when we came in had already got their food. So we declined to return it we still had a long drive home. Then a was trying to get her attention to get me some mustard she just ignored my looking at her. Horrible!! I don't think I will ever go to a RUBY TUESDAY ever again. My husband has never had a good experience at any!! Sorry we gave you another try!! I don't normally blame the server for bad food but she clearly left it sit to long and should not have brought it to the table like that. In case you didn't know.. when they bring a dish and say oh it's really hot chances are it got hot sitting under the lamps before it's brought out. Worst service I've experienced in a long time. Asked for drinks with lemon, had to ask a second time for lemons, then had to go to the bar for lemons 15 minutes later, was told she was cleaning bathrooms and forgot, no apology. Almost got the wrong food after pointing to the item on the menu when ordering it, was told she couldn't hear well as she walked away. Another 15 minute wait for boxes for leftovers before we could leave. The server had TWO tables, our four top and a one top. Server's name was Breale. Very nonchalant, discurteous and lackluster performance, I'd rather eat at home than suffer thru another meal with this type of service. Hostess was also very unwelcoming, like we were bothering them by eating here so they would actually have to work. Not a smile from any of the staff. read more

We are staying at the hotel beside Ruby Tuesdays waiting to catch a flight home in the am. We walked over to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and The service was fantastic. We loved our sweet server and the food was excellent. Upon leaving we took some desert among other things to go to take to the hotel. After a couple hours we decided to have our turtle cheesecake only to realize the restaurant had left out the dessert. I called the manager and he had someone run it over to the front desk of our hotel. Talk about wonderful customer service. I know it was just a piece of cheesecake but to me it was much more. Most of the time I love Ruby, Tuesday's. But I ordered a sirloin steak with a baked potato salad bar but when the food showed up, it was not a sirloin steak was not cooked the way I asked it was served with fries instead of a baked potato. many of the items on the salad bar we're also missing. Some of my other employees eight or earlier in the week and had similar experiences. We certainly will not visit this ruby, Tuesday location any longer. read more

I was never fond of airport food, especially if it's a franchise, but I received meal vouchers from Delta so it was either real food or drinks from Starbucks. I ordered: Hickory Borbon Salmon: very tender and flavorful. Good individual portion. Thai Poon Shrimp: it wasn't as crispy as the onion rings were. The flavor is strong but the texture wasn't so fun. Onion Rings: this is exactly how onion rings should taste if I decide to eat bad. It consisted of tiny chunks of onion instead of a large slice of onion. It was also perfectly crispy! I downed all of it as I walked over to Hilton. I just couldn't resist! We called first as it was a holiday. Found out they were open for 5 more hours and went. Big mistake. Walked in...no one greeted us. Went to the bar to get served. There were a few waitresses arguing over who had to wait on the next table. The manager walking around on his phone probably didn't care about the fact that the salad bar was pretty much empty (which unfortunately we chose as our entree). This location needs either better management and help OR to just shut down. Ridiculous paying more than 10 bucks for the drama we witnessed and the lack of food we got. We had a group of seven for dinner last night at the Alcoa TN restaurant. The waitress was overwhelmed and had a bad attitude. She dumped drinks on 2 people at 2 different times and never even acknowledged that she did so. The manager was very rude and also had a bad attitude. Mannie stepped in and took over as our server. He absolutely saved the day. He was a great server, had a very good attitude and a sense of humor. He will be the only reason that we return. It was awful to look at and even when they offered it for free when they couldn't complete our order because they were out of scallops I couldn't touch it. The dressing containers had dressing spilled all over them. Items must of sat out all day. It looked wilted and sad. The fish in chips fish was not crispy. They looked like they had been microwaved. The rib eye steak was more like a breakfast steak than a dinner steak. The wait person was nice enough but he was the only one on our side and you could tell his nerves were starting to fray because he was being pulled in so many ways. I never go to chains but was traveling with my husband and mother for a funeral. We could walk from our hotel to this Ruby Tuesdays so it was a no-brainer when we were tired from the road. It was so clean and the servers were so friendly we ended up eating there 3 times. I had salmon and a salad one day, shrimp and the spinach dip the next, then a burger to go one day. This review is for Matt's Secret Sauce. He is one of the cooks at RT. I have had his dynamite sauce on chicken wings, fries and a cheeseburger. My husband had it on the coconut shrimp. If you go to RT in Alcoa make sure to have Matt make you his sauce. It would taste great on other items like steak, chicken and salmon which I plan on trying. It is a tad on the spicy side but it is so good!! I'm hoping corporate adds it to their menu soon!!! read more

Really this is my fault because we keep coming back here. But it's close to home and there's never a wait to become seated--clue #1! And even though there's hardly ever anyone here, the service is always terrible. When there's something wrong with one of our orders, and there ALWAYS is, they really need to try to make things right. Recooking a burnt burger is bringing it out after everyone else at the table has finished eating.... Bringing a steak that's so tough it can't be cut.... Leaving the entire table without drink refills for the entire meal... all of these deserve more than "sorry!" There was recently an issue with awful water, but that seems to have been resolved. The wait staff can never correctly answer questions about their menu--probably because they all always seem to be brand new--but instead of finding out, they just make up answers that are rarely accurate. This leads to inedible food or food we wouldn't have ordered given correct information. Tonight there were two hostesses, three waiters, and three tables of customers. So one waiter per table. And it was still a mess. We want to support a restaurant that was founded in this town. But they sure make it hard. I wouldn't have gone to this place in the first place. The only reason I went was it was next to my hotel. I walked in and the whole place was nearly empty. With my hopes up, i ordered my old fashioned. Surprisingly the bartender was scrambling to make me one. In the end it was just too fruity and meh. Then I ordered wings which was a mistake. It was drenched in oil/butter. It was ok with little bite to it. Barely full, I ordered an order of salmon platter. To begin with it was chared outside and barely had any flavor. Beans were under cooked. Rice was mushy was super bland. I was going to order one more beer but one of the staff ran my card so I didn't bother. read more
