As much as we wanted to like this place we didn't. It is always crowded so we thought it would be good. They were friendly enough inside so that was not the issue. The food just wasn't good. When we walked in, it gave a LH or TR vibe so we thought okay. But the similarities stopped there. The steak was blah and the sides eh. As for the Caesar salad, the dressing was sour. The waitress said most people don't like it! Traded it for a soup that was bland. There were drink specials on the menu and they didn't have the correct alcohol or fruits to go with. I am a big Saltgrass fan since i discovered them back in Dallas, Tx. I've been eating delicious Saltgrass steaks since 2008.... When I was visiting Biloxi I was excited to see them just down the street from Harrah's hotel and casino. We made reservations because it's Saturday so i figured they would be busy. We showed up early, about 4pm, but it was definitely not busy and they had plenty of staff to handle the crowds, that hadn't shown up yet. We were greeted and seated, and got our hot bread and honey butter then ordered our drinks and the Ranch Rattlers appetizer(shrimp in a jalapeño with cheese and batter fried). They were just ok, my shrimp, when pulled out had not been deveined which was a little gross, but not really their fault because I assume they are frozen product not made in house. We then ordered our steaks. My standard order is Pat's Ribeye 12 oz medium with baked sweet potato (WHAT no Sweet potatoes at this location!!) I was very disappointed they didn't have it on the menu...god those are good!! But not tonight, just a loaded (blah) baked potato and a Caesar salad. The salad arrived and reeked of anchovies. They were definitely heavy handed with the anchovy paste, couldn't eat much of it because of this. ( praying my steak is ok ).... Gave the salads back, and they offered a substitute which we politely declined. ( praying my steak is ok ) Steaks arrived! Yay, my ribeye was beautiful and juicy looking! YAY it was awesome, thank "my higher power"! Every bite was perfection of medium and juicy. That is what I came for so I was very pleased. We were offered several refills of drinks and our server was pleasant, however other staff members were hanging out chit chatting since the weren't too busy and one waitress was devouring her fingernails and actually spitting them out as she walked around, ok that was gross, more so than the poopie shrimps..... Basically we had 2 steaks, 2 soft drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 side Caesars, the warm bread. And no desserts, as we were not offered them, just brought the bill... This was my third visit to a Saltgrass steakhouse as I first discovered on a work trip back in TX 6.5 years ago and just loved it! Service is great & the flavor of the steak is unique in my opinion and delicious, so when we passed this location en route to our hotel down the street, I told my BFF we've gotta have dinner there! Being it was a holiday (Presidents' Day) I called beforehand just to see if they were honoring happy hour for the day and sure enough, they were (we only had about 30 min left of it). Their happy hour menu is awesome as the prices are very reasonable for the portions and selection that they have. Upon arrival, it was awesome since they were not too busy for a Monday evening and we were seated promptly in the bar dining area. We started off with libations (cab for me, TX Tea for my friend) and ordered shrimp cocktail as our apps. Shrimp was big (not prawn sized) and the cocktail sauce was served on top a bed of shredded lettuce in the cocktail glass and was very fresh and delicious! We both ordered the 10 oz sirloin steak with baked potatoes and chose a caesar salad and house salad as our sides. Steak was cooked to perfection (well done) and had their signature grilled flavor to it. We ordered a side of mushrooms and grilled onions for two and still had plenty leftover that we did not finish. The salads were on the smaller side and just ok, but that is fine as the meal was filling. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake as our waiter stated that the other choices were much bigger (in portion sizes) as we were already stuffed enough! The cheesecake was very tasty and not too dry as some cheesecakes are. As for the service, it was impeccable and our server was not the only one who took care of us, but rather another bartender and a couple of other servers who delivered our food and checked up on us as they were passing by. Me and my family ate here tonight 6/25/2025 for my birthday dinner. The food was good however service was not. Our initial greeting was great but our Server never greeted us with his name or that he was our server. ( receipt said his name was Harvest, doubt that's it). Brought us our salads said nothing, food comes he said nothing, no check in to see if everything was ok ( which it was) husband told him at the beginning it was my birthday and nothing. Our waitress struggled from the beginning and when the drink order was messed up that should have been our sign to exit stage left. Date of visit/ Sunday, December 07, 2025 @ about 7pm. At first entry into the waiting area we were quickly greeted and just as quickly seated. As we (wife & I) walked to the table the room was nearly empty. Instead of seating us a minimum of a table between the others, we were sat right next to a family and diagonal to another group of 3. Again, a near empty dinning room. Not to mention they sat us and the family of 3 near the entrance to the kitchen which was plenty loud. Our waitress and her trainee approach and introduced themselves. Gather our drink orders and we place an order for the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms come out in about five minutes. They are plenty hot which was nice. That's about all they had going for them. The batter was flavorless. As if they were dumped out of the box you buy at Walmart. Along with the mushrooms, our complementary bread and butter. The bread was warm in the center like it just came out of the microwave. Next we attempted to place our main order. My wife attempted to order the bacon wrapped filet mignon. Sadly it's Sunday and they ran out. It's a Damn steak house, you mean to tell me you don't have a single slice of bacon and a filet! So she ordered a 12oz ribeye (medium) and a loaded potato. I ordered a 16oz ribeye (medium-rare) and the Brussel sprouts. Our plates come out. Our waitress reached across the table in front of me to set my wife's plate down because I guess walking three steps around me was too far. My plate is set down and before we could pick up a fork we are asked how things looked. Well, the butter on my steak wasn't melting, which should've been a sign. So we both quickly cut our steaks to give our waitress the knod that the meat was "cooked" properly. My wife's steak was "perfect" for her and her butter was melted however the steak was tough to cut. Her loaded potato was great to her. Now it's my turn. I'm excited to see how the steak taste as it is our first time here and I looked at the the reviews, many of which said it was worth the money. Needless to say, I left hungry and disappointed. My steak was barely warm to the touch hence the lack of melting butter. The steak lacked seasoning to the point I had asked for a side of flakey seasalt. One side of the steak appeared to have a nice sear and proper color while the other side was brown with no sear markings and looked as if it was sitting in liquid for some time. By the time I finished my first few bites, the rest of the steak had gotten even colder and the butter still hasn't melted. Mind you the walk from the kitchen to our table was less than 10 steps so the steak shouldn't have been so cold. During the course of time we had our dishes served, out waitress and her trainee stood near the kitchen opening and watching and waiting to come to the table. When she did, I asked for the manager. The manager arrived five minutes later and I explain my disappointing steak. I explain I wish not to eat a cold steak to which she responds, would you like me to heat it up. I kindly said no thanks, the butter hasn't even melted yet and I'd wish not to pay and she agreed. Oh, I almost forgot about the Brussel sprouts. They were, okay. The house salad was average at best considering it was chopped greens with croutons and cheese. Where was the tomatoes, cucumber, or carrots? If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Don't waste your money nor time coming here. Texas Roadhouse is far better. Sadly I didn't waste the space on my phone to take pictures of of my disappointing Anniversary meal. For our 10th wedding anniversary my wife and I decided on Saltgrass Steak House in Biloxi Mississippi. The dimly lit atmosphere was a great choice for an anniversary dinner. We were seated promptly upon arrival and our server cheerfully came to take our order. We both decided on Pat's 12 oz Ribeye steak. I chose mashed potatoes and loaded potato soup as my sides, and my wife chose the Caesar salad and the fries. We went the bread appetizer and the fried mozzarella, both of which were absolutely amazing, very flavorful and filling! Sadly, I may have consumed more of the appetizers than I should have, and soon our next course arrived. My loaded potato soup was absolutely, mind blowingly delicious! The onion in the soup was very present, much to my liking. My wife thought the salad was pretty good, but said that the Caesar dressing was a little strong for her preference. Our server arrived with our main course, and it did not disappoint! The steak was large, juicy and seasoned to perfection. My mashed potatoes were really good. I love when a place serves actual mashed potatoes, instead of a substitute. My wife enjoyed her steak and her fries. All in all, no complaints with the meal. Now our server Amara was absolutely instrumental in making our anniversary dinner a pleasant experience. She was cheerful, knowledgeable, and very present with drink refills, and was very quick to bring each course to the table. A heartfelt thank you to her for her dedication to her job in a time when a lot of people tend to show less enthusiasm for their position. She is an asset to their business, and I would hope that every one of their servers has the same work ethic she has. The staff does not listen to orders. There were 4 of us and every single order was messed up. The staff literally shrugged and giggled when the mistakes were pointed out. We had to wait a while to get drinks(maybe they were waiting to bring waters/soda) with the cocktails. Food was out pretty quick once we ordered. Hubby got the 14oz ribeye and loaded baked potato. I got the 12oz ribeye with mashed potato and we both got a side salad. We also got the fried onion for appetizer which was cold. The bread was hard and cold. Never got any hot bread. The steaks was TERRIBLE 12oz and 14oz was very flat, had no seasoning, and was tough, had to carve to cut. They put butter on top that never melted. The mashed potatoes and baked potato was ok(but you can't go wrong with those). Over all we were very disappointed with the total bill being over 100 bucks for 2 people.
