My family (complete with a hangry toddler and pregnant mom) and I waited here for food for over an hour, and never got ANY FOOD. We left with nothing, and felt lucky to even get our money back. We spoke with the manager - he was absolutely incompetent and uncaring. I also worked for Ruby Tuesday in college, and am deeply ashamed to see this poor establishment carry their business name. After a few more minutes a fellow walked through and said someone would be with us soon. After a few more minutes same fellow stuck his head out of door in back and said someone would be with is soon. If they did not want to serve people they should have put a closed sign up. I'm not sure if people go to RT for the food but if they do, they must have cast iron stomachs. My wife ordered the Southern Sampler and she asked the server if it was spicy, explaining that her stomach has been a little delicate lately. Assured that it was not, she got it. Poor thing!--a couple of bites of the deviled eggs and she instantly regretted it. She complained to the server who suggested maybe mashed potatoes? She brought out some, so my wife did have something to eat. I tasted the eggs and had to agree that they were much too spicy. My wife and I have travelled all over the world and we are no strangers to spicy food but we were blown away. ordered to-go through door dash and they were out of what we ordered. they offered to replace it with a different entree which is totally fine however they wouldn't let us replace with something we actually wanted and so we settled for something else. they proceeded to cancel half the order without notice forcing us to order another entree elsewhere. they refused to offer us any kind of refund or compensation for the other meal. if we had to order elsewhere anyways then we should have been allowed to cancel our order with no problems and do just that. as someone who works in a similar chain restaurant running the to-go service I know these things should not be an issue. read more

When I went to check out, not one of the mobile devices to take credit cards worked. An hour and a half for a Sandwich and salad. Then we got sat at our table and waited about 20 minutes for a waitress and she was not even our waitress. She took our order and drinks. We both ordered white wine. Even thought the menu listed the brands of wine available she had no idea what wines were available. We defaulted to 2 house Chardonnay's. We waited another 15 or 20 minutes and she came back and told us the glasses weren't chilled and asked if we would like ice in our wine....no. My husband's burger was missing the sauce...that's not the kicker ....our waitress disappeared..after putting our food on the table...first of all I had to get up and go find her just for utensils...after we finished we were feed up and just wanted our check to leave...I had to ask the young man wipeing the tables and another waitress where our waitress was and to also get the manager...so did the couple in the booth behind us. The manager (Andrew) finally came out with some story saying that the waitress was having some issues and needed to go home....Reallyyy after sitting and sitting that's all he had to say . The least he could have done was give both our table and the couple behind us some type of discount or the meal for free. Because of his inability to deal and communicate with his employees and customers this situation threw us behind in our travels by an hour...then to top it off he had a young lady that had just gotten to work to bring our tickets out...she had no idea about the situation...all she knew was that we were all pissed. Will never try this chain again, this was one of the worst service ever experienced and mediocre food! 20 min from seating to seeing service staff, another 15 to get drink order (2 beer). Ordered meal at same time as drinks, then well after beer was delivered was informed that they had not had ribs available all day! Changed my order to grilled salmon, when it finally arrived was badly over cooked, rice tasteless, grilled zucchini burnt on one side and not grilled on other. BTW burnt zucchini tastes awful! Husbands rib steak was okay, wrong side, was promised replacement but never came. Over 70 min from seating to food. There seemed to be lots of staff, people wandering around, on their phone, chatting.... Also observed bartender handling menus, money, cutlery etc. and her own mask, then garnishing drinks with bare hands, no sanitization. Glad I ordered bottled beer! read more

Food is similar to other Ruby Tuesday's I picked this location as it was convenient in relationship to the highway and I didn't want to stop by a fast food place. Main reason for my negative review is the slowness and disorganization of the staff, from the hostess to the waiters to the kitchen. It took ~12 minutes after being seated to be acknowledged. From there I chose the lunch special menu (probably most ordered item I would assume). I got the salad bar, and ~35 minutes from the time my food was ordered my mea arrived. After finishing, waiter walk by once and never bothered to grab my empty plate. It took an additional 20 minutes for desert to come out. My drink was never refilled and the empty plate was never picked up. Manager never walked by to check on guests as I've witnessed in other Ruby Tuesday's. Just disappointing experience all in all. If am passing by next time I'll go to the other restaurant that almost shares a parking lot with this place. read more

This restaurant is an easy stop on our way hone from Columbia, but EVERY time we come there is a wait that is not necessary. This time we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated when most of the restaurant is empty. Will be going to Cracker Barrel from now on. read more

We didn't know that this town (Orangeburg SC) was dry on Sunday. Jesus turned water into wine, not vice versa .. sigh, read your *&^# book and get a clue. So we sit at the bar and our waiter let us know. That was the highlight of the night. I had to go get my own utensils/napkin from a table as they served my food without it and left. No ketchup in bottles ... small packets only. Jeese. The Thai spring rolls were US Foodservice 101. I can take something out of the freezer and fry it too. Chicken sandwich was a step below Chick-Fil-A. The water was good ... I'm looking for nice things to say. I have ate at this Ruby Tuesday location a couple of times and haven't been impressed either time. The first time we dined here it was ok; the service was good, but the food wasn't all that great. I would have given them 3 stars on that visit for decent service. As I was on my way back to to Charleston yesterday I decided to pull off the exit for lunch. I was going to just grab some fast food crap and be on my way, but decided to give this Ruby Tuesday another change; and after the experience here I should have stuck to my original plan. I walk into the restaurant and there is a young lady working the hostess stand; she doesn't even acknowledge me right away. I actually had to greet her and seat myself at the bar. Once at the bar the bartender was in the weeds with only a couple of customers, so it took her like 5 minutes before she even greeted me; which she was cold in her greeting. So I ordered and waited for while (maybe 25 to 30 minutes) on a hamburger that I ordered medium well; which came out medium rare. I was hungry and in too big of a hurry to send back the burger to be cooked up more, so I ate the burger; plus I never send food back to the kitchen, nor should anyone (unless you like extra special treatment of your food in the back). After eating I sat there with a dirty plate in front of me for while waiting on the check so I could get out of this hellhole; finally having to wave down the bartender to bring me the check. Once she brought the check I went to hand her my card, but she walked away; luckily I had a little cash to pay the bill. Overall this is a crappy Ruby Tuesday and restaurant in general. Stick with the other restaurants off this exit in the future. read more

I visited this location of Ruby Tuesday twice because I had a family member in the local hospital. Both times, I ordered the salad bar, which was consistently fresh and delicious. The first time, I sat at a table. Their iced tea hit the mark. It took a little while to get the check, but the service was overall good. The second time, I sat at the bar. I got my glass of wine fairly quickly. I like how they offer 2 wine sizes. Needless to say, my convalescing brother had pushed my nerves to the breaking point, so I opted for the 8 ounce glass. It took a while for the bartender to ask for my lunch order. I didn't see him, so they must have had him occupied with other duties. He was quick to ask if I needed another glass of wine. This location is a lot better than the location on Devine St. in Columbia, SC that I reviewed several months ago. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was good. I ordered the Popcorn Shrimp ... I only wish that the portion had been larger. Finding the entrance the the parking lot was difficult but we finally cut through some parking lots and found our way. We stopped in here on a trip back from Charleston- it's right off the interstate on 601 in Orangeburg. The restaurant is fairly new and is well maintained- nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. We started in the bar- not too big and kinda cramped and chaotic for the staff- they do make a good Manhattan though- We have been in here on Sunday and forgot about the archaic blue laws- remember no alcohol on Sundays~ Ya gotta love the South! Here's what I ordered... They have a very nice salad bar with a good selection of fresh veggies Avocado Turkey Burger- Topped with fresh avocado, Swiss cheese, applewood smoked bacon, red onions, and pickles- served on a very good pretzel bun! This went good with a tall Blue Moon Belgian White Ale The food was good. However, the prices at Ruby Tuesdays seem a little high with portion size a little on the small size- makes me sound like a pig?? Oh well, I have a hard time paying 15 to 16 bucks for a small piece of fish I could make easily, and just as good, at home...That's why I went for the turkey burger - around ten bucks with a loaded potato.
