We eat at this restaurant on North Glenstone in springfield mo a few times a month. The last couple of times it hasn't been very good. Today I ordered a sweet tea and the first one wasn't sweet. Should've went with our gut when we observed the outside of the building was dirty and unkept. Took several minutes to be greeted by the hostess, though there were only two other couples in the restaurant...another red flag. Salad bar was messy and the serving utensils sticky. I've been to several other Ruby Tuesday restaurants across the country and this location isn't bad. Once I got to the restaurant, it took several minutes before the hostess greeted me and took me to my seat. Apparently, she also helps to bus the tables. Once seated at the booth, I noticed that for a 6 foot tall person, it was kinda uncomfortable because the table top was really high and the seating position was kind of low. This reminded me of my childhood days when I wasn't tall enough to reach the table once seated. My waitress was very friendly and smiled during our whole interaction. She was quick to take my drink order and just as quick to bring back my drink. I ordered the ribeye steak with steamed broccoli and the salad bar. Usually, with the Ruby Tuesday salad bars, they are well-stocked, look fresh, and filled with really appetizing items. Today, not so much. The restaurant wasn't that busy but I noted that they were out of several items. I had a chance to go back for a second time but noted that these items were still out. Chopped eggs, corn, and some other item was out. At least the greens weren't wilted. The ribeye arrived fairly quickly. Immediately, the waitress asked me to cut into the steak and check to see if it's cooked to my liking. I did, and it was medium rare as ordered. Taste-wise, it wasn't bad. I didn't expect high-end steakhouse quality, but for what it's worth, I didn't need to use steak sauce. She asked me if I needed any but I declined. I never use sauces on any of my steaks except for horseradish and au just for prime rib. A great steak that is cooked to perfection only needs salt and pepper as seasoning. The steamed broccoli was good without being too overcooked or too al dente. All-in-all, it was a good experience. I like to go to Ruby's. Usually good food and good price. Last night I got babyback ribs and they were the worst baby back ribs I have ever gotten from a restaurant. Our family (mom, aunts and cousins) were on a road trip to Joplin from Michigan, it had been a long 8hr trip before stopping for dinner at your location in Springfield. Upon entering Keaton a young man welcomed us and we told him we were from Michigan he asked us how our trip had been so far, he was so friendly and patient with my elderly Aunt and mom, he joked with them and listened to their stories. They were so happy that a young man would take the time to be so friendly and listen to them, it made their (and our) meal so enjoyable. On the way out he wished us a safe trip and joked some more with us and my mom and aunt asked him if they could give him a hug and he obliged! My mom and Aunt were giggling like school girls and talked the rest of the way to Joplin about how friendly Keaton was and how he made them feel like important people and not just some "old women". In this day and age of people finding reasons to complain or always having a negative to say, I just wanted to take the opportunity to praise such a wonderful young man and to thank him for how special he made 5 women from Michigan feel. read more

If you're looking for exceptional food, and great customer service...bring some patience with you. We ordered a Moscow mule, and the server suggested a raspberry mule, to which we obliged, and ordered two. She brought one Moscow, and one raspberry then said, "wait, you wanted two raspberries?" No biggie, we will drink what we got. We kept it simple with the 2 for $24 and got the spinach and artichoke as our app., two salad bars, and a side of fries. After two trips to the salad bar (ranch dressing needs more...ranch) we mentioned about the spinach dip, which the server must have overheard because she told us "your appetizer will be right out, they are just adding more dip." Shortly after, the fries came out steaming hot, but tasted like old grease. A few minutes later the dip arrived lukewarm. We couldn't tell if it was the cheese, or the spinach that tasted funny, but it had a weird tangy taste. When the check came I informed the server of a chip on the rim of the glass. No big deal, as I didn't cut myself, but just wanted her to be aware. We did inform our server about the dip, which she did take action on and took 13% off of the bill. Lorenza wanted salad so we went here. She ordered a breaded Jumbo shrimp dish and build your own salad bar and I had the turkey burger and fries. I should have tasted the fries before I salted them! Way to salty. Turkey burger was OK, but I think that craving has been satisfied for the next 10 years! Lorenza enjoyed her dinner, but the margarita was too sweet! My husband and I have come to Springfeild after driving all the way from Seattle Washington. We were so so happy to have such good service, James Kennedy was our server and it was far beyond good quality service. Honestly the food was good but the service was higher end then required for such a casual steak house. What was I thinking?? As an "adult" I try to avoid chain restaurants. However, I was on a road trip with my mom and we were nostalgic for the days we would frequent the Ruby Tuesday's on Olive in Creve Couere. This ruined it for me. Our server was nice and attentive enough. We ordered four drinks, one kid's meal and three salad bars. Our check was $50. Sorry, but for $10 I can get a gourmet 2,000 calorie salad at the finest of corporate establishments. This is not a cool price at all. Went a week or so ago and it was a horrible experience start to finish. Took forever to get seated, get drinks,order and get food. Our server only brought out half of the tables food and we had to eventually had to ask where the rest of it was. When food arrived some of it was over cooked if not burnt and some of it you could tell was sitting under a heat lamp to long.Drink refills took where very far and few. Ate here twice this week because we are in town on vacation. Ordered takeout the first night. Dined in the 2nd. Any place that goes above and beyond for food allergies is a good place for anyone to eat. It means they take their food prep seriously. They specially cooked chicken for our boys to avoid cross contamination, and brought the manager out to discuss how they were prepping the food to make sure it would be okay and to give us the choice. Very friendly. super helpful. Oh, and they didn't hand me an expired allergy menu! Usually, I get an old allergy menu the first time and I have to request the most recent menu. My first action after exiting the restaurant was to apologise to my family because it was my choice to eat at Ruby Tuesday. It was a complete disaster, the worst, WAY OVER PRICED. We paid $80+ for a meal that might have been worth $20. My steak was obviously freezer burned. My mashed potatoes had a hard film on them like they had been sitting for a while. My daughter had a small bowl of macaroni and cheese with three small pieces of dry chicken and they charged $15 for this meal. That's it, nothing more that three small pieces of dry chicken and some sub par mac and cheese. Only complaints this time: my wife's fries had way too much salt, so next time we'll ask for no salt, and had I known the baked raviolis was only about 4 or 5 raviolis, I would have ordered something more filling or satisfying, was hoping it at least came with garlic bread or breadsticks, but no luck. I have came here many times and I guess last night just wasn't a good night. Our waitress never came back to the table if we needed something we had to stop her just so we could get what we were needing. Our food took over an hour to come out and on top of that it came out cold. All we got was 2 samplers, 2 wings and a kids chicken. The kids chicken was cold to the touch. When we asked how much longer it would be she goes " oh there is some already made would you like me to bring it out" so who knows how long it was setting up there ready for it to come to the table. We never got refills and our waitress when we asked her something she would says " sorry it's crazy right now" when there was literally maybe 15 people there. At the end of the meal we paid and it took her 10 minutes just to bring back the change! Like I said I've never had a bad time here but last night just was not good at all. Plus my husband and I woke up with food poisoning. I am just very disappointed with the experience last night and there were a couple different people that were in the same boat as us. Took my father for a nice Father's day lunch on 6/20/21. We waited for at least 15 minutes before our server even came to get our drink order; at which time he said "guess they snuck you in on me". There was only 1 other table, (1 person) in the server's area when we were seated and finally placed our order yet we waited over an hour to receive it. That was only after I asked our server about it. I know that covid has caused a lot of business' to be short handed so we waited patiently. There was not doubt in my mind that he forgot to turn our order in. Once we received our order, my father's Asiago Steak & shrimp came with no shrimp and the steak was small and hurriedly cooked. We arrived just before 2:00pm and didn't get out of there until 4:25pm. The server then presented me with a $51.83 ticket and said I hope we didn't hold you up today. This was a nice restaurant, and the service was good. The salad bar was excellent, everything on it was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. We arrived at what seemed to be a very busy time for the restaurant, so there was a line for the salad bar and they did seem to be struggling to keep the stock up, but I got everything I wanted. I was trying to be healthy, so I went for the veggie plate and ordered roasted spaghetti squash, mashed cauliflower, and roasted green beans. I wasn't really impressed with the first two items, but the roasted green beans were good. Truth be told, the hamburger and fries entrees of my dinner companions looked much tastier.
