Food was great, service was terrible. They forgot everything except the main course. Drinks, salads, and even the ticket. When I ate here my water glass was never refilled for 1 hr & 15 mins that we were there. I got a alcohol free lemonade and the waitress gave me a drink with alcohol in it and failed to tell me until 10-15mins later. Asked if there was any reason I couldnt have alcohol and I said yes im pregnant! She then says good thing you didnt drink the whole thing. She didnt even apologize or offer to do anything. I will never go back to this restaurant. The food is good. Salad bad is good. But that was a horrible experience and bad service!!! read more

I dread the "where do you want to eat" question, because invariably the conversation goes badly. One child wants Mexican food, while another wants burgers. hubby is on a salad diet and I want a steak. One place that never fails to please, is Ruby Tuesdays. Ambiance is great for date night or family meal, and prices are very affordable. Some of my favorites are the petite steak and their grilled chicken meals. They are great to accommodate special diets, like gluten or dairy-free, and have heathy sides to choose from. Their adult beverages are great too, and not overpriced. Best of all is that you can almost always find a coupon online, making Ruby's even more affordable. read more

We were hungry for dinner on a Saturday night and ended up here....there was no wait so we were happy. We had a wonderful waitress! Way to go Ruby Tuesday! I placed an order for carry out last night, and my husband was so irritated that they did not get the order correct, and although it was close to our hotel, he was too worn out to go back. So, why on earth four stars? Because most of the food was cooked perfectly, and the manager delivered the missing items. As a lifetime Kansas resident, you rarely see such beautiful FRESH lobster EVEN when the word is in the name of the establishment (yes, THAT one), and you wouldn't believe how few restaurants in the Midwest can cook a steak properly to order, and this Ruby Tuesday's did that! Sorry if my bar seems low, but quality food in restaurants seems to have become extinct on the Plains! The Lobster tail was perfectly prepared, sweet, tender and mouthwatering! The Lobster Mac N Cheese was creamy and delicious!! And yes, the lump crab cake was seasoned perfectly. Three different forms of seafood, and all three cooked right on the nose! Very raw in these parts, and the chefs deserved a hug for all three! My sirloin burst with flavorful juices and was the most perfect "medium"steak I've had as far back as I can remember!! It burst with flavor and juices! It's sad when a sirloin stands out just because it was a nice quality and cooked perfectly, but sadly that's the reality in the land of meat and potatoes. The sliders were sliders, but yummy and not over cooked. The biscuits were still warm when we got them back to out hotel. Sides? Very good snowpeas, and baked potato. Disappointments were the greasy grilled zucchini, and believe it or not, the salad bar freshness. I've eaten at many Ruby Tuesdays and this one is doing it right!! I travel a lot and prefer to dine at local restaurants in whatever city I stay in. This day I was just tired and Ruby Tuesday happened to be across the street from my hotel. Not wanting to dine in I ordered a take out salad. I paid, they handed me a bag and off I went. To my surprise, they had separated all the elements of the salad into three small take out boxes (like Big Mac boxes). Why on earth would I want them all separated. It was take out, not like I had a big platter in the room to mix it all back together again. Why on earth would they even think of doing that? Very disapointing. I went to this Ruby Tuesday's yesterday 2/22/16 at 3pm with my boyfriend. The parking was almost empty. I didn't see any other patrons in the building, I actually didn't see anyone else. We walked in and up to the hostesses stand and waited. I heard what sounded like employee chatter and we still waited there. We craned our necks to figure out where we could find someone working there. We found no one. After about 5 minutes without seeing anyone at this Ruby Tuesday's we left and went to a different restaurant. Too bad for this Ruby Tuesday's, we were getting steaks and planned on spending more than we typically do, and I tip well. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is Austin the bartender. The food (to go) was crap, poor quality, and lacking. I ordered a sampler-missing queso for the pretzels, only received a very small portion of artichoke dip, and my chicken tenders were over cooked and very small in portion. The chicken quesadilla was missing 1/2 the chicken as well. I went here so I didn't have to have crappy drive thru-bad decision! We both had salad bar which was nice and fresh but not that many choices, no crackers they gave us these dried out muffin things kind of like hush puppies but not as good. We both ordered drinks and after a very long time I got my wine which was fine and my husband got a vodka and tonic with no lime or stirrer? i went twice in the last couple months. The first time was better overall although the ribeye was terrible. it was fatty with veins and chewy to the point i couldnt eat it. the rest was fine. The second time the waitress was also tending bar and although the food was good, i felt as though she rushed us. this time i gor a burger, and the BBQ sauve was great She brought the check before even taking our dessert order. oh well, we left after that and got dessert elsewhere. read more

Our server James was excellent. He kept the table clean and us entertained, more so than any other server I've had anywhere. My NY strip was spicier than expected but I liked it. My husband and children enjoyed their food, I on the other hand left hungry. Our waiter was nice, but didn't notice when our drinks were empty, or when my pretzel burger was brought out on a regular bun. He brought the kids plates out first, okay-he only has 2 hands. One of my kids had all his grapes and half of one of sliders eaten before my husband and I got our food. And, with kids with us, and almost done before I got my wrong food, I just had him take it back and remove it from the ticket. Possibly the worse experience I've had in my life. Ordered online, since I am staying in the hotel across the street. Went to pick up my order, and the waitress at the front said she couldn't help me. I then proceeded to the bar, and found my order laying on the counter. I walked out with no help or anything. This is still probably the best salad bar in town. Can't really comment on any other food other then the salad bar and grilled zucchini which are both very good. Staff has always been friendly and attentive so, if you are looking for a healthy option try the salad here. read more

After eliminating the salad bar from entrees then taking the cheese biscuits away, today, Ruby Tuesday as a chain has lost me as a customer forever if I have any say in the matter. I went for lunch with my dad. We were two, separate customers on two separate tickets. We were doing this because we were both using coupons. The first red flag was when we walked in, saw empty tables and only one couple waiting in the foyer. Yet, the hostess told us it would be a 15 minute wait. I inquired why there would be ANY wait, much less 15 minutes, if there are empty tables. She said it was so their staff would not get overwhelmed. That's a hint that a place is short-staffed. Word to the wise: go elsewhere because your experience is about to suffer. In actuality, our wait to be seated was only about three minutes. That was the positive for the visit. We waited half an hour after ordering to get our meal. I ordered a steak, medium well. After half an hour, my steak was more along the lines of medium - oozing too much red for my taste. At many restaurants, when you order a steak, your server will either ask that you cut into the steak immediately, with them standing there, so they can see if it was cooked correctly, or, at the very least, they come back and ask how everything is. We never saw our server again until near the end of the meal. And, even then, it was when I flagged her down. Now, I CAN eat a medium steak if I have to though it isn't my favorite. But after waiting half an hour, I was not going to let them take it back and cook it some more or prepare another. I was too hungry by that time. But I did want to let somebody know that it was not cooked correctly. Also, after waiting that long for our meal, the mashed potatoes on my plate were lukewarm and somewhat crusty - as if they had sat somewhere for a long time. When I was able to finally flag our server down and tell her about my steak, her response was a little less than professional. Instead of saying something like, "oh, I'm sorry your meal is not up to our our normal standards of excellence. Let me get the manager," She said "well, that's on the kitchen. I'll get the manager to come out and talk to you." I had already said I was going to go ahead and eat the steak because I was so hungry for waiting so long for our meal. But, I ended up eating an even colder steak because it took the manager several minutes to come out. As an aside, today's steak had a ton of fat on it as well. So by the time I took all the fat off I was left with a very small portion. After the manager came and I recounted the issue, he was very nice and told me he would take the price of my meal off my ticket. Class, if a single person on a ticket has one item on that ticket and you take it off, what are you left with? Nothing. That's right. Basic, elementary math. Everything minus everything equals zero. Apparently, Ruby Tuesday must use the new, common core math. When our tickets came, imagine my surprise when, instead of my ticket being comped, as promised, the way the manager had 'removed' my one item from my ticket was to take half of it off of my ticket and half of it off my dad's ticket! Yeah, that's what I thought too!! Completely ridiculous! Never in my life have I seen a restaurant comp a meal because of the restaurant's own mistake by spreading out the discount around the entire table! In what managerial class is that taught? Are you kidding me? So, the patron who had no issue with their meal gets rewarded for someone else's issue by being given a 50% discount on their meal, and the person who had the issue also gets "rewarded" by having to pay for his "comped" meal. After we got home, I realized why they must have done this. As I mentioned, we each had a $5 off $15 coupon that we had originally planned to use on our separate tickets - within the terms of the coupon. Had the restaurant really done what they had promised, comping my meal, but then charging dad's as normal, with the five dollar coupon, it would've been $21, 'lost' for the restaurant. (my $16 steak taken off my ticket and dad's $5 coupon). But, by splitting up the $16 value of my meal as two, separate $8 discounts off each of our tickets, this prevented dad from using his five dollar coupon because his ticket was now less than the threshold price to use the coupon. Bottom line for Ruby Tuesday - they just saved from having to honor their five dollar coupon for a completely separate customer who had no issues. Clearly, they could care less about looking out for the customer who had an issue in the restaurant. They care more about saving that five dollars on their bottom line. Well, Ruby Tuesday, you can look for out for yourself without me from now on. And, by the way, for some tips on how to treat customers WELL, go eat at Jimm's steakhouse just once. read more

Literally one of the worst restaurants I have been to in Springfield. Perhaps it's just this specific location, but I have given it two tries in two months and both times were awful. The first time I went I was told that there was a buy one get one free special between 3-5pm M-T. I was with a friend so we both decided to get the Steak and Lobster dinner. I didn't think it was possible to ruin lobster, but it was served cold and half hanging out of the tail. The steak was equally as bad. Both my friend and I agreed it was the worst steak AND lobster we had ever had. Then today I tried it again. Upon entering I was once again told "buy one get one free" by our waitress. Not wanting to try my luck with the lobster or steak again, we both got burgers. They were served at room temperature and were clearly not "hand made 100% beef". When we got our ticket it was for $30~ and didn't have the half off (buy one get one free, remember). Our waitress then informed us that it didn't count with burgers, but didn't bother to tell us that when we ordered... 5 seconds after she told us everything was buy one get one. All in all this is seriously the *worst* restaurant I have ever been to in Springfield... and that's saying a lot. STAY AWAY. Houlihan's is right down the street, about the same price, and a MILLION times better. read more

I thought it was over priced and the service was so so I do not mind paying when it is worth it but $2.79 for a cup of coffee with no refill and it was ordered with cream but I never got a spoon to stir it with see my point neither did my wife and she takes her coffee with sugar. read more

I've been to this Ruby Tuesday location in the past and have left satisfied. I usually go for the salad bar which is pretty standard. Overall I'd say it wasn't disappointing but not exactly memorable either. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the dining area looked clean and well taken care of. I think next time I'll have to dive into another type of entree. read more
