Excellent salad bar, and a very decent menu to choose from our food was very good. Service was good as well.

Monday evening. Did a random search of Monday evening deals. This one happen to pop up. *Learned from the waitress that the website deals may not match the menus, so go prepared. Arrived around 5:00, plenty of parking. Walked in. Seated right away with no wait. Hostess seemed shy, but friendly. Tamera was our waitress. She was by our booth right away. Smiles and star stickers on her face. Made us smile. She may have been still learning the menu a little, but she brought us our drinks right away and gave us time to review the menu. My back was to restrooms. The bar was over to my left and we were surrounded by TVs in this section. Every TV had something different on it. When she returned we explained we had seen the Monday burger deal online and Tamera knew what we were talking about. She let us know what was included. A trip to the "garden bar" , a smash burger, and fries or tots. The smash burger started at a basic price and if you get fancier or add more meat the price increased a little. I ordered the Gauc Smash burger. (It came as a double, but I should have only asked for 1 patty.) I asked for fries. Hubby ordered the Mushroom Swiss Smash burger and tots. She let us know how to get to the salad bar and went to put in our order. The "garden bar" was bigger than expected. It had couple options of lettuce, the lots of veggies to choose from. They included a ton of topping choices and some summer salads. There was a list with all the calories labeled. I smiled at the extra work someone went to do that. Lots of salad dressings to finish off your salad. We enjoyed our salad. The burgers were brought out shortly. The presentation of the food was on point. Nicely stacked burger looked really good. The burgers tasted good. Hit the spot. We haven't had a smash burger in a long time, but I really enjoyed the crispiness that you get from it. I didnt love my fries, but just wasn't enjoying the flavor. Nothing wrong with them. Stole a tot from the hubby and they were fried nice and crisp. Tamera checked on us as we ate. She did a good job. The food deal that night was worth the visit. Not including tip the meal was under $25 for 2 adults. That is pretty good now a days. We got the check after completing our meals. Tamera said her goodbyes and kept helping the other tables. Well keep this stop in mind as we had a pleasant experience. We've been one time before, a long time ago. Everything was different this time, in a good way. We arrived just after 6 and were seated right away. Our waitress took our drink order and was back in enough time to order. I got the shrimp and scallops with broccoli. I substituted grilled zucchini instead of rice at no charge. They do have other options for an up-charge. I added the salad bar for $5.99. All of it was good. My only complaint about the salad bar is there was no cottage cheese. That's a must. And with two corn options, which I rarely see, I think they could add cottage cheese. and beets need to be pickled IMO. Hubs got the ribs and ribeye. The Texas dry rub was a bit sweet and ribs tender. Ribeye was fantastic. Not dry and had flavor. Didn't even need the sauce. Loaded baked potato was great. Ended with the dulche de leche sundae. Wow! Anyway, it's definitely updated with the lights and flooring and a larger and better salad bar than another place around town you might have been to before. We will be back!! Its been a while since my last visit and I was searching for happy hour deals. When Ruby Tuesday come up as having a burger and drink special I knew I was in. I was honestly impressed. I had a mushroom and Swiss smash burger, tots and the salad bar with a nice cold beer cheaper then most places and I was not one bit disappointed. In and out in less then an hour with an impressive salad bar is really A-OK in my book. Deal for deal its hard to beat at $12.99. I suggest to not overlook this staple on 86th street. read more

I absolutely love the dark bread buttery toasted croutons - especially when they have just been brought out and are warm! There aren't as many salad bars around anymore, but this place has one of the best. My friend had the Jalapeno Bacon Queso Burger (see picture) along with the salad bar. He loved the salad bar, but preferred his bacon more crispy and found the bun to be a little on the soggy side (possibly due to the queso). It is tough to beat this place for value and it has a decent selection at the salad bar - all of which I found to be fresh. First the positive, the salad bar was first rate. Very well kept. Ruby Tuesday's extensive salad bar is one reason my wife and I go to Ruby Tuesday and this one did not disappoint. We ordered the special which was a burger and salad bar which was a very good price. My issue is with the waitress, the one who was working the booths in the bar area, who had a severe attitude. Maybe she anticipated a small tip because the order not being to dollar. She seemed to either not to like us or not wanting to waitress, either way she is not personable. Other than the order, we never saw her except for 3 times. She did not even bring our order to us, which the fries and tots were cold. My wife thinks it was a manager that delivered the food. The order had obviously sat there for awhile. 1) My wife had to flag her down as she walked by to request water. She slammed the new water on our table as she walked by. No interaction. 2) She slapped the bill out our table as she walked by. Again no interaction. 3) When she brought the machine to pay the bill that is the only time we really saw her, she was closely watching my wife fill it out, I assume to intimidate her to tip her well. My wife over tipped in my opinion. I regret not grabbing the machine and filling it out with a much lower tip, more in line with the unpleasant dining experience we experience. If you to this location, stay out of the bar area so you get a (hopefully) better waitress. I would give one star for the service, except the salad bar was first rate and well kept, so i give the restaurant 2 stars. read more

First the meal was great, but what was equally great was our waitress, Michel S, she was beyond helpful and had such a positive and uplifting attitude. Be aware of this place!!! I had a very bad experience with them tonight! The scallops in my order of Scallops and Steak were so salty that I couldn't eat more after one. After I told the waitress, she took it back and told me the chief would remake it. But the newly made dish had some scallops that were dry/chewy and didn't taste like scallops, suggested that they probably just re-cooked the old dish, or even threw in something else. No wonder they only get 2.8 rating on Yelp. I would give them zero if its possible! read more

I placed an order for pickup online, pulled in the To Go spot on time and called in my car description ... 20 minutes later I had to call and remind them I was still waiting. A few minutes later my food was delivered and I asked if the fries had been sitting all that time (yes) and made them replace the fries. Waited another 8 minutes for that. Got the food home and found my burger had not been prepared as ordered (without bacon bits) and my husband's was overly salted. By far the best dining experience yet! From the fresh food, fast delivery, and attentive waiter! The salad bar was stocked pretty well, we got our drinks shortly after sitting down. Food probably 4 star but the service ruined our experience. Quick seating, pretty small place but clean. Took at least 10 mins to get helped, drinks came out quick and took our meal order, then poof disappeared for 45? Mins till bill time. The worst service I've had in a long time. First, I ordered water and was brought a coke. I told server next time she returned that I had ordered water. She brought me water but left the glass of cola there for the whole time we were there. My husband ordered coffee and she never offered a refill, however did offer the person dining with us a refill on her lemonade (my husbands cup set there empty). I had a Philly cheesesteak and it was very good, my husband deconstructed kabob was ok, chicken dry and our third party ordered chicken with Mac and cheese. We went in on a Thursday At 12:30. There were only 2 tables in the restaurant at that time. there were 4 of us in a booth. I think our server's name was Kiley she did a great job. She brought drink refills promptly. The good came out in a respectable time frame and was good. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with tots and a side of honey mustard dressing for dipping everything. no one had any complaints. they offered us real silverware or prepackaged plastic ware. it was so awesome to go sit on a restaurant. My brother ,who is in a wheelchair, and I went to Ruby Tuesday's early one evening at around 5:00 and sat us at a table that would best accommodate a wheelchair. (Thus, the one star) the server did not acknowledge our existence and walked by us several times to wait on a couple who came in shortly after us. No water, no, I will be right with you, nothing. 4 people in the entire place. After 15 minutes of this, I told my brother. 5 more minutes of this crap and we are going to Road House. Since losing our Ruby Tuesdays in Council Bluffs Iowa we decided to stop in and have our salad bar buffet. It was a nice refreshing meal on an over 100 degree day. I am never disappointed in the options on the salad bar BUT today I'm not sure what it was but both myself and my husband got very sick to our stomachs directly after we ate, I actually got sick before we left. The garden bar is definitely the highlight of most Ruby Tuesdays and this particular location was no exception. The vegetables taste fresh and crisp and there is a nice variety of both "build your own" salad items as well as prepared salads. The ambiance has changed since my last visit to a Ruby Tuesday--the tongs now hang on a hook by each item which is very appealing to the eye. Service was friendly and our server ensured drinks were full and that we were enjoying our food. I had the "smokehouse burger" and it was nothing to write home about. The bun had fallen apart and the cheese was not melted properly on the sandwich. Went here the other day for lunch. Let's just say the service was awful. When we arrived there were maybe 5 tables sat in the whole restaurant and several servers in the building. We were sat for 15 minutes and no server came over so we walked up and asked the host if we could get our server. She pointed to a girl who came over and apologized as if she had too and didn't really care. We ordered our drinks and food and that came out in a timely manner and was actually good. Our server never came back to refill drinks had to ask another server to get them for us while our server was just standing around chit chatting. I asked to speak to the manager just to give the feedback and he came over ready to fight. Didn't really apologize and seemed like we were inconveniencing him. Horrible service. DISAPPOINTING. My daughter wanted to eat here tonight and I agreed because in the past I have enjoyed their salad bar. My daughter's food came and it was one of the worse presentations I have ever seen but the food was good enough. My burger on the other had was not good. I ordered medium and I am not sure it spent more than 30 seconds on the grill. It was raw not even warm in the middle. The fries were less than mediocre from the freezer and didn't arrive hot, they were barely warm. The salad bar was disgusting. We arrived at 530pm so you would have thought it should be ready for the dinner rush. It looked more like the end of rush mess. Many things empty, stuff dropped into the container next to it. The cottage cheese was sour, the coleslaw and potato salad both tasted "off" and the apple salad should have been tossed a few days ago. Before leaving my daughter and I stopped off in the restroom, it was filthy. Toilet paper on the floor, waste baskets over flowing. Our server was the one and only positive thing. Arrived with a BOGO offer code. Showed it to the waitress, she copied it down. We ordered our meals after the drinks arrived, we we asked if we would want an appetizer, we declined. Food arrived and we were asked if we needed anything else, we said some Parmesan cheese. After we're almost finished, the manager approaches and informed us that the BOGO wouldn't apply to our order as I had inadvertently ordered something from the flyer laying on our table. This was a promotional flyer, not clearly marked as such but we were told it was. The manager informed us that the waitress should have informed us about this and that he had briefed the waitstaff about this. He said that he would not be able to honor the offer and we'd end up paying double what we expected! I told him that, as manager, he could make it right as it was his staff's fault that we weren't informed properly. He refused 3 times to do anything to make things acceptable. We've been regular customers throughout the pandemic, getting takeout and then dining in when they opened the dining room. I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT WE'RE DONE WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT! My three stars are for the food being average nothing outstanding. We got a order of shrimp fondue for our appetizer, it comes with unlimited tortilla chips. The fondue was ok. I ordered spicy chicken sandwich with a side of Cesar salad. Salad was ok but, wish the size of the burger was a bit bigger , for the price of +$9 it was small. Hubby ordered blackened tilapia with two sides ( I thought it was a little salty but not hubby) and our kid got smoky mountain chicken without bacon with a side of onion rings and broccoli.Didn't taste it so not sure. As a chain, Ruby Tuesday is decidedly middle-of-the-road. That's not a bad thing, it just is. This particular location is well managed, has a good waitstaff and is often very busy. It couldn't be more convenient as it's less than 0.25 miles from I-80 and several hotels. If you've never eaten at one of these before, they are known for their burgers and their salad bar. I think it's a little better than an Applebees or TGI Friday's. If you are dining with a family or kids, you should find these to be perfect. The seating in this particularly restaurant is a little cramped. They have large tables, but they're round. It would be a challenge to seat more than about 8 or 10 at one table. This is a good spot for a date, there are plenty of two-top tables and it's not usually too loud. The bar is spacious, with plenty of TVs. Our drinks were made well and came quickly. Our server was patient with the kids and around often enough to be useful. I think the best part of this place is the reliability (there's something for everyone), and it's moderately priced. The biggest draw back is that it's super crowded on weekend nights and it closes early (as in 10 pm). We definitely will dine here again. read more
