My friend and I visited L'Angeletto on a Sunday afternoon and while the restaurant was quiet, the warm welcome set the tone. Our server quickly sat us at a nice table and immediately brought over bread accompanied by chickpea purée and black olives, which was a lovely start. We opted for the mushroom cream soup with coconut milk, which was rich, savory, and absolutely spot-on and the beef carpaccio, which was fresh and delicious. From there, we decided on the carbonara and the lasagna as main courses. While it was enjoyable, it didn't stand out compared to other Italian spots we've been to. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was a highlight: smooth, indulgent, and perfectly executed. My frcapped the meal with espresso martinis and declared them among the best he's ever had. Service was excellent throughout: authentic, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, L'Angeletto is a charming spot worth returning to if you're in the neighborhood. The food has memorable highs, the cocktails impress, and the service makes you feel taken care of.

Went to L'Angoletto early hoping for the zucchini lasagna, but they didn't have it available, which was disappointing since that was the main reason I went. I ordered the chickpea gnocchi instead. It was fine, but not as distinctive as it sounded. The blue cheese barely came through, there weren't many vegetables, and overall it tasted like fairly standard gnocchi. That said, the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, and the service was good throughout. Not a bad experience, just not as memorable as I'd hoped.

What a great local restaurant with indoor outdoor seating and a nice little bar. Staff was fantastic especially Austin wanted to make sure my dishes were perfectly cooked.. excellent carpaccio. Also my pasta with pancetta in a red sauce was delicious. The tiramisu was also very good but needed to touch more Kahlúa or rum. White wine selection by the glass could do with a little work but the red wines were great. I would definitely come back here again.

I had a good dinner at L'Angeletto, and I sat by a window. I like the fettecini, Bolognese as a main course, and a piece of cheesecake for dessert.

    Stuffed pumpkin - OMG.

It's the night before Thanksgiving. I just sampled some of tomorrow's fair including a small roasted pumpkin filled with risotto, Italian sausage and a bunch of other deliciousness. And don't get me started on the broccoli and leek soup! I'm awaiting a lamb shank in a red wine reduction. I will not be eating tomorrow after this feast.

Top Italian in the Neighborhood! I don't visit L'Angelettos often--in fact, it's been a few years--but after tonight's meal, it's definitely going to become a regular spot for me. The restaurant has such a charming vibe; it's cute, cozy, and was pleasantly quiet with only about six other tables occupied, perfect for a relaxed Sunday night dinner. The food? Absolutely incredible! Every dish was perfection, and we didn't have a single complaint. The service was excellent as well--attentive but never rushed--which made our 70th birthday celebration even more special. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was so flavorful, and the eggplant appetizer, which had a subtle Middle Eastern twist--absolutely delicious. For our mains: 1. Cacio e Pepe - This is one of my favorite Italian dishes, and tonight's version was hands down the best I've had in the city. Creamy, perfectly balanced, and utterly satisfying. 2. Bucatini All'Amatriciana - A red sauce with smoked pancetta that was rich and hearty. My sister was thrilled to take home the leftovers. 3. Lasagna - Can you ever go wrong? This classic was a crowd-pleaser. 4. Branzino - While I didn't try it, the birthday girl raved about it! 5. Chickpea Gnocchi with Roquefort Cheese - We were a bit apprehensive because we love bold cheeses, but this dish exceeded expectations. The gnocchi was pillowy soft, and the cheese was subtle and perfectly blended in a light sauce. To finish, we shared a dessert that was out of this world--a slice of cake layered with pistachio, ricotta cheese, and cake, topped with a raspberry drizzle. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. L'Angelettos is truly a neighborhood gem. It's no wonder they survived the pandemic--they're a solid 10/10. Highly recommend!

A nice little Italian restaurant that makes you feel like family! Made a reservation here for Thursday night for my party of 4. It was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a nice meal and catch up over many years. Service was also great - waiter was attentive without being overbearing and the chef came out at the end of our meal to ask us what we thought and offer complimentary homemade limoncello shots! Appetizers: Ordered the calamari, bruschetta and beef carpaccio. Calamari was the standout - very tender and the sauce was amazing. Others were enjoyable but pretty standard. Entrees: Fettucini with Lamb Ragout and Rigatoni alla Carbonara were both delicious! Portions were perfect and the pasta was very fresh.

Had dinner at L'Angeletto with a group of 8 on a Friday night while visiting some friends in the city. The main standouts of this restaurant are its great service as well as the ambiance of the restaurant. The vibe is pretty intimate but they did a great job to accommodate out big group. The food was pretty good but kind of pricey and the portion sizes were rather small (especially for the appetizers). I tried the Caesar salad and the lobster ravioli they had on their specials for the evening. I was a bit disappointed by how little actual lobster was in the ravioli but it was still tasty. Would be a date spot given the ambiance and quality of service, just a bit overpriced for what you get in terms of food in my opinion.
