Biscuits and gravy. Before we tasted the food
    Paola C.

Just no. I ordered the biscuits with gravy and my child the chocolate chip pancakes. My meal was a complete tasteless mush. And his pancake just crumbled as soon as he started eating it and tasted raw. The only good thing was the fruit garnish and coffee. Service was fine but I do think that we the server saw my food was almost intact and the pancake was just crumbs on a plate they should have asked if everything was fine instead of offering to go boxes.

My absolute favorite spot when I travel. The food is massive, the prices are well worth it and the staff are all very nice.

Excellent! Be careful big portions!!! The big flatjack was delicious The experience and service was great!

I was in AC for weekend relaxing. I decided to try here for once. It has been in Tropicana for few years. Im seated at high chair table near the bar. Decor was blue , going for farm motive with tractor displays and pictures of agriculture theme. I ordered the tractor platter with bacon, eggs scrambled. I get an enormous flapjack equivalent to a short stack pancake with my eggs scrambled like a side and bacon. Eggs were good, bacon was crispy. Flapjack was good. I would have like a hash side but ill give it another try next timeim in at AC.

Break the fast! Portions are enough to share but we will have our own plate. Maybe we do not finish but full we will be. Did you see the size of my partners pancake? Feed a party of four as the two of us barely put a dent in it. Chocolate chip pancake was de-li-ci-ous. That biscuit and the fresh jelly will have yoy salivating. We were pleased with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The potatoes were crispy and delightful.A few cups of coffee to go out and brave the weather. Water with lemon to be able to walk after all we did consume. Neither one of us cleared a plate.

Was looking forward to coming here after going to one in Vegas. We were seated promptly. We choose to do buffet due to timing. Even though they had the warmers food wasn't hot. There was a variety of items which I did like. My drink was good, I wanted a refill but by time server came we needed check so we could leave. Buffet items that I can remember: Scrambled eggs Scrambled eggs with spinach, ham, and tomato Waffles French toast Pancakes Chorizo hash Chicken tender Bacon Sausage links Biscuits and gravy Potatoes

Plenty of seating, so it's perfect to just walk in. The place closes at 2pm, but we arrived at 1:30pm and left around 2:30pm and people were still finishing their meals. Super causal vibe. Staff are very courteous and warm. Glad we listened to our waitress's advice and ordered the $29 fried chicken Benedict. Photos don't do this monstrous portion justice--it can be shared amid two or three people and you will still be full. This was superb--a mountain of mashed potatoes on the most airy, pillowy, fluffy biscuit, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fried chicken breast under slightly spicy chipotle sauce. Chicken Ceasar wrap was a bit dry, the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would order this any day I'm hungry. All the portions are very big. The pancakes are ginormous--definitely great for Sharing and still taking home left overs. Looked so scrumptious. Next time, will definitely order the famous thyme fried chicken and waffles--a couple next to us ordered it and it was massive and impressive. Ooooh that aroma.

Everyone say together: Bigger is not necessarily better. The premise of a huge plate of food (priced accordingly these days) beckons you when you arrive hungry. But bigger is not better. I was craving a nice fluffy pancake. Mine arrived, and having eaten at a Hash House A Go Go several times out on different West Coast locations, I wasn't as shocked as others at the sheer size of the pancake. However, once I put a knife and fork to the pancake, it literally crumbled into smaller pieces. WHUT. So disappointing. It came with breakfast potatoes that were too salty and underdone. Coffee was delicious. Props to the friendly server.

    $23 French toast tractor special
    Lee M.

Came in during a busy weekend morning. Waitress was great! Had a pleasant personality and checked in often. Coffee was delicious. I chose the $23 French toast tractor special. It came with 2 eggs, French toast and a choice of meat OR potatoes. Whut? I picked bacon and it came with 2 slices. That's it. Also the French toast came already drenched in syrup which bummed me out a little. I like to dunk my French toast into only a little bit of maple syrup. Anyhoo, I am all about bargains and I don't know if this platter was quite the bargain. But this is a resort with resort prices.

Stopped in Tropicana at the Hash House A Go Go and they did not disappoint! We got seated quickly at the bar for a delicious breakfast and you know their portions are huge!! Service was friendly and food served hot even though the place was packed!

    Madeline C.

They offer both menu options and a buffet, which is nice. We chose the buffet since the menu portions are pretty large, and this way we could take as much or as little as we wanted. The server was very nice and attentive. The only downside was that the mimosa took a little while to come out, but aside from that, everything else was great

PRIDE, PORK CHOPS & PURE JOY AT BYRDCAGE ATLANTIC CITY…read more Atlantic City was absolutely glowing this weekend during the Atlantic City Great Pride Festival at O'Donnell Park near Stockton University. More than 1,000 people were expected to attend, and the energy was incredible--music, dancing, laughter, and love everywhere you looked. Just two short blocks from the festival at 3426 Atlantic Avenue sits one of Atlantic City's true gems: Byrdcage Atlantic City. I stopped in throughout the day to cool off, enjoy some mimosas and other refreshing low-alcohol beverages, hydrate, and eventually have dinner. From the moment I walked in, I immediately got why this place has such a loyal following. First, the cleanliness deserves its own paragraph. I have visited restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't remember seeing an establishment this spotless. The interior and exterior were immaculate. Not a spot of dust. Even during one of the busiest days of the year, the restrooms remained roomy, pristine, and exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is equally impressive. The décor is whimsical, fun, and carefully curated with fascinating photos and memorabilia everywhere you look. Outside, colorful murals create the perfect backdrop for photos and add even more personality to an already vibrant space. And then there was dinner. My server, Isabella, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. She even arranged for a dinner entrée to be served before dinner service had officially begun, and I was so grateful she did. I ordered the Seoul Mate Sizzle Pork Chop Platter, and wow. A beautifully grilled bone-in pork chop glazed in a sweet and savory sauce and served over fresh pineapple salsa, alongside creamy herb rice and perfectly cooked vegetables including broccoli, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and carrots. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the pineapple salsa took it to another level. It was one of those meals where you intentionally slow down because you don't want it to end. And the music? The music made me dance almost all day and well into the night. There was something happening everywhere--at the Pride Festival, downstairs, and upstairs on the dance floor. The DJs absolutely nailed it. Great music, great energy, and great people. I honestly lost track of time because I was having so much fun. Management was everywhere--engaged, attentive, and laser-focused on every detail of the operation. The entire team worked together seamlessly to create something special. More than anything, Byrdcage felt like what every establishment should aspire to be: a safe space filled with kindness, inclusion, acceptance, and pure joy. It was family-friendly, welcoming to everyone, and simply fun. I even bought a Byrdcage shirt at the festival because this is exactly the kind of local business I enjoy supporting. If you're visiting Atlantic City, don't just come for the casinos. Come for experiences like this. Come for the people. Come for the music. Come hungry. Come ready to dance. And absolutely make time for Byrdcage Atlantic City. I'll be back. #ByrdcageAtlanticCity #AtlanticCity #AtlanticCityNJ #AtlanticCityPride #GreatPrideFestival #Pride #LGBTQIA #LoveIsLove #InclusiveSpaces #SafeSpace #YelpElite #Foodie #PorkChopPerfection #Mimosas #DanceAllDay #DanceAllNight #SupportLocal #FamilyFriendly #RestaurantReview #AtlanticCityEats #VisitAtlanticCity #JerseyShore #StocktonUniversity #ODonnellPark #OrangeLoop #EatLocal #ACNJ #PrideCelebration #GoodVibesOnly #PureJoy #AtlanticCityBoardwalk #BeachVibes

Next thing I know, the bartender, Domingo, starts yelling from behind the bar and then comes around questioning why I was in the establishment. He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience.

I started with a delightful lemon berry spritz, $4.99 on happy hour, very light and refreshing in a sneaky boozy way. Spouse ordered a draft Hidden Sands beer, also $4.99 on happy hour. Staff was unobtrusive but readily available as we dined at the bar. Only a few other patrons were there on a Sunday at 430pm. I saw one order of tacos at the end of the bar and confirmed the tortillas were indeed corn, hooray! The appetizers are impressive in variety, portion and quality. We shared them, but spouse gravitated towards the shellfish. The red sauce mussels were made spicy on request, and they were a good sized portion with a simple toasted sliced bread. A little grated parm and parsley graced the mussels. The Tres Tacos were filled with a nice carne asada. Big chunks of perfect steak, pico, avocado and melty cheese inside on corn tortillas (rare in the East). I could eat these every day! I think the tortillas needed a little more time on the flat grill, but that's my preference. Finally the calamari. I dream about finding a grilled calamari like this back home in Phoenix. No breading, just pure grilled squid rings and tentacles all tossed with garlic, seared poblanos, lemon and some greens. LOVE LOVE LOVED this dish!!! It's about time we found a meal that wasn't pub food and was yet still affordably priced. RYFE has a very talented chef, we loved the menu and preparations. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak.
