Breakfast buffet
LaToya G.

Was looking forward to coming here after going to one in Vegas. We were seated promptly. We choose to do buffet due to timing. Even though they had the warmers food wasn't hot. There was a variety of items which I did like. My drink was good, I wanted a refill but by time server came we needed check so we could leave. Buffet items that I can remember: Scrambled eggs Scrambled eggs with spinach, ham, and tomato Waffles French toast Pancakes Chorizo hash Chicken tender Bacon Sausage links Biscuits and gravy Potatoes

Plenty of seating, so it's perfect to just walk in. The place closes at 2pm, but we arrived at 1:30pm and left around 2:30pm and people were still finishing their meals. Super causal vibe. Staff are very courteous and warm. Glad we listened to our waitress's advice and ordered the $29 fried chicken Benedict. Photos don't do this monstrous portion justice--it can be shared amid two or three people and you will still be full. This was superb--a mountain of mashed potatoes on the most airy, pillowy, fluffy biscuit, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fried chicken breast under slightly spicy chipotle sauce. Chicken Ceasar wrap was a bit dry, the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would order this any day I'm hungry. All the portions are very big. The pancakes are ginormous--definitely great for Sharing and still taking home left overs. Looked so scrumptious. Next time, will definitely order the famous thyme fried chicken and waffles--a couple next to us ordered it and it was massive and impressive. Ooooh that aroma.

Everyone say together: Bigger is not necessarily better. The premise of a huge plate of food (priced accordingly these days) beckons you when you arrive hungry. But bigger is not better. I was craving a nice fluffy pancake. Mine arrived, and having eaten at a Hash House A Go Go several times out on different West Coast locations, I wasn't as shocked as others at the sheer size of the pancake. However, once I put a knife and fork to the pancake, it literally crumbled into smaller pieces. WHUT. So disappointing. It came with breakfast potatoes that were too salty and underdone. Coffee was delicious. Props to the friendly server.

They offer both menu options and a buffet, which is nice. We chose the buffet since the menu portions are pretty large, and this way we could take as much or as little as we wanted. The server was very nice and attentive. The only downside was that the mimosa took a little while to come out, but aside from that, everything else was great

$23 French toast tractor special

Came in during a busy weekend morning. Waitress was great! Had a pleasant personality and checked in often. Coffee was delicious. I chose the $23 French toast tractor special. It came with 2 eggs, French toast and a choice of meat OR potatoes. Whut? I picked bacon and it came with 2 slices. That's it. Also the French toast came already drenched in syrup which bummed me out a little. I like to dunk my French toast into only a little bit of maple syrup. Anyhoo, I am all about bargains and I don't know if this platter was quite the bargain. But this is a resort with resort prices.

Stopped in Tropicana at the Hash House A Go Go and they did not disappoint! We got seated quickly at the bar for a delicious breakfast and you know their portions are huge!! Service was friendly and food served hot even though the place was packed!

Food is very good, everything has great flavor, only down side is there very slow waiters take forever taking your order or coming over after your sat down. Lucky the food makes up for that slow service so it's not as bad. They give you a good amount of food as well you will leave full. There are quite a bit of tables in here as well as a bar.

A group of six's of us came here at around 11am the Sunday of a three day holiday weekend. The line was 30 people long when we showed up. A bartender came out and told us the bar was nearly empty and first come first serve, so we booked it and found six available seats in a row! Drink menu is very eye-catching, drinks are pictured and all very colorful and vibrant. I got a bloody mary which was pretty boring but well-balanced. Mimosas came in a plastic souvenir cup. Our bartender was unbelievably nice.. took our order quickly and was very attentive throughout. I don't even remember the name of the meal I got but it's pictured. It was delicious but way too big. Prices seemed a little steep but I guess for the portion size it was okay. Everyone else seemed pretty happy with their food.

Hash House is a great spot for both breakfast and lunch. The vibe is very much centered around morning and midday dining, and most people come here specifically for that. They offer generous portions, quick service, and reasonable prices. If you're looking for a satisfying meal to start your day or enjoy in the afternoon, this place is definitely worth a visit. The food is tasty, and you really get great value for what you pay.

Host was great . Portions were huge ... our server was off ... she was not attentive and seemed like she couldn't be bothered . 23$ for a martini when she didn't ask top shelf or standard . Have to walk to use bathrooms . No gluten free options .

Corned Beef Hash

7/5/24 This is inside the Tropicana. With easy access from the boardwalk. We had a late start on a Friday morning and thought there would be less people, we were wrong. Long line waiting to be seated and most tables were full. The line actually got longer behind us lol. I can see why, food is good and service is great. Dana was such a cheerful and friendly person. Corned Beef, Red Onion and Swiss Cheese Hash - in a heavy cast iron skillet. There was so much food for breakfast lol. The corned beef was so good, tasted like it was freshly made in house. BBBLT - skipping breakfast for this giant BBBLT. I didn't like the bread, the edges were crispy and was perfect for the BBB but the center was soggy. They used a quarter of a small lettuce for the L, so I used it as bread and it was actually much better. Bacon were crispy not how I usually have bacon but it worked here. Good place for breakfast. They're only open through lunch.

French Toast
Kimberly J.

I was excited to see a Hash House A Go Go because I enjoyed the one in Vegas. The service was quick and the server was very nice. The food was underwhelming. I had the French toast, which was topped with a caramelized banana the issue was that the banana was still in the peel and I believe caramelizing it in the peel gave it a slightly bitter taste that I didn't enjoy. I felt like the taste seeped into the French toast so even just removing the banana didn't help. My friend ordered the pancake. I tried some and it was dry and fell apart easily. The syrup didn't help. There are better breakfast options in AC.

PRIDE, PORK CHOPS & PURE JOY AT BYRDCAGE ATLANTIC CITY…read more Atlantic City was absolutely glowing this weekend during the Atlantic City Great Pride Festival at O'Donnell Park near Stockton University. More than 1,000 people were expected to attend, and the energy was incredible--music, dancing, laughter, and love everywhere you looked. Just two short blocks from the festival at 3426 Atlantic Avenue sits one of Atlantic City's true gems: Byrdcage Atlantic City. I stopped in throughout the day to cool off, enjoy some mimosas and other refreshing low-alcohol beverages, hydrate, and eventually have dinner. From the moment I walked in, I immediately got why this place has such a loyal following. First, the cleanliness deserves its own paragraph. I have visited restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't remember seeing an establishment this spotless. The interior and exterior were immaculate. Not a spot of dust. Even during one of the busiest days of the year, the restrooms remained roomy, pristine, and exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is equally impressive. The décor is whimsical, fun, and carefully curated with fascinating photos and memorabilia everywhere you look. Outside, colorful murals create the perfect backdrop for photos and add even more personality to an already vibrant space. And then there was dinner. My server, Isabella, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. She even arranged for a dinner entrée to be served before dinner service had officially begun, and I was so grateful she did. I ordered the Seoul Mate Sizzle Pork Chop Platter, and wow. A beautifully grilled bone-in pork chop glazed in a sweet and savory sauce and served over fresh pineapple salsa, alongside creamy herb rice and perfectly cooked vegetables including broccoli, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, and carrots. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the pineapple salsa took it to another level. It was one of those meals where you intentionally slow down because you don't want it to end. And the music? The music made me dance almost all day and well into the night. There was something happening everywhere--at the Pride Festival, downstairs, and upstairs on the dance floor. The DJs absolutely nailed it. Great music, great energy, and great people. I honestly lost track of time because I was having so much fun. Management was everywhere--engaged, attentive, and laser-focused on every detail of the operation. The entire team worked together seamlessly to create something special. More than anything, Byrdcage felt like what every establishment should aspire to be: a safe space filled with kindness, inclusion, acceptance, and pure joy. It was family-friendly, welcoming to everyone, and simply fun. I even bought a Byrdcage shirt at the festival because this is exactly the kind of local business I enjoy supporting. If you're visiting Atlantic City, don't just come for the casinos. Come for experiences like this. Come for the people. Come for the music. Come hungry. Come ready to dance. And absolutely make time for Byrdcage Atlantic City. I'll be back. #ByrdcageAtlanticCity #AtlanticCity #AtlanticCityNJ #AtlanticCityPride #GreatPrideFestival #Pride #LGBTQIA #LoveIsLove #InclusiveSpaces #SafeSpace #YelpElite #Foodie #PorkChopPerfection #Mimosas #DanceAllDay #DanceAllNight #SupportLocal #FamilyFriendly #RestaurantReview #AtlanticCityEats #VisitAtlanticCity #JerseyShore #StocktonUniversity #ODonnellPark #OrangeLoop #EatLocal #ACNJ #PrideCelebration #GoodVibesOnly #PureJoy #AtlanticCityBoardwalk #BeachVibes

I entered and made a beeline straight for the restroom because I had to gooo . I quickly discovered the bathroom doors were locked and required a key code. Next thing I know, the bartender, Domingo, starts yelling from behind the bar and then comes around questioning why I was in the establishment. He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience.

The mango juice wasn't too sweet and tasted so refreshing with the tequila. It didn't taste like one of those disgustingly sweet cocktails filled with sugar and artificial syrups. The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak.
