This was my first time coming to this restaurant. There wasn't a long line, probably 8 people in front of my party and we were able to get seated pretty quickly. We opted for a booth next to the window which was nice, seeing the boardwalk from my seat. Our waitress was so kind and so nice. I don't remember her name but she was such a delight. The wait time for our food to arrive was way too long. We waited for more than 45 minutes. It seemed like everyone was waiting for their food as well. The waitress seemed frazzled while the customers looked at her. When we got our food, the portions were huge and we were able to take some with us. The food was really good and it was worth the wait. I was also a little disappointed the restaurant is named 'Hash House' but there are no hashbrowns but they did have potato wedges that were tasty! Overall, really good food and cool interior. Just no. I ordered the biscuits with gravy and my child the chocolate chip pancakes. My meal was a complete tasteless mush. And his pancake just crumbled as soon as he started eating it and tasted raw. The only good thing was the fruit garnish and coffee. I was in AC for weekend relaxing. I decided to try here for once. It has been in Tropicana for few years. Im seated at high chair table near the bar. Decor was blue , going for farm motive with tractor displays and pictures of agriculture theme. I ordered the tractor platter with bacon, eggs scrambled. I get an enormous flapjack equivalent to a short stack pancake with my eggs scrambled like a side and bacon. Eggs were good, bacon was crispy. Flapjack was good. The food is slightly above average. Portion sizes are huge, but do you really want a huge portion of "just ok" food? The location is very convenient if you are staying in or around the Tropicana. Where this place really lost me is the service. I have been here several times and if I sit at the bar the service is good, but if I get a regular table I receive some of the worst service I have ever gotten. The last time I was here I was sat at a table and then ignored for 20 minutes. A couple was sat next to me 10 minutes after I can in. They were greeted by a server immediately and had drinks and their order taken within a few minutes. That's when I decided to walk out and not return to this Hash House location. Photos don't do this monstrous portion justice--it can be shared amid two or three people and you will still be full. This was superb--a mountain of mashed potatoes on the most airy, pillowy, fluffy biscuit, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fried chicken breast under slightly spicy chipotle sauce. Chicken Ceasar wrap was a bit dry, the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would order this any day I'm hungry. All the portions are very big. The pancakes are ginormous--definitely great for Sharing and still taking home left overs. Looked so scrumptious. We have been to the Hash house in San Diego and loved it. We went to the one in Atlantic City for the first time today. I had a party of 11 family members to celebrate a birthday. We know they didn't take reservations so we waited a while for a table. It was busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It took a while to get our food and my grandson's meal came out wrong. We told the waiter and they said they would fix it and bring it out. More than an hour later and repeated request, he had still not received his food. I had asked for coffee refills and never received them. after we had finished and we were waiting over half an hour more to still hope my grandson got his meal the waiter came over to finally offer us more. He said he had tried to get the right meal for my grandson and had gone to the kitchen numerous times, but they would not take care of it At that point we just wanted the check. Where can I start? I feel more inclined to write this review because the last one was a year ago. As an avid yelper, I had added this restaurant to my list in preparation for a vacation in Atlantic City. Being from New York City, I'm used to high tier food. Based on pictures from other reviewers, this place looked very decent and up to par. To start our meal experience was foreshadowed by the table that was sat next to us who was also sharing the same waiter. I started with a banana latte which never came, then switched for a hot chocolate. My entire ordering experience was rushed, and our waiter had no pen and paper and was just looking to get the orders in as fast as possible. As expected once our order touched the table it was wrong. I received scrambled eggs instead of over easy. I received a tortilla instead of a biscuit, which would have been an easy explanation if we had a server who was taking his time with our table. Once I receive the correct kind of egg that I ordered it was raw. The fruits for one of our dishes were missing. The actual quality of the food was midcentral at best. Some of the most popular items on the menu include the sage fried chicken. As pictured we ordered the Andes sage chicken biscuit. The sauce that came all over the dish was rancid. It was supposed to be some kind of chipotle mayo but it was hot and it did not taste good. The spinach and the tomato were undercooked and raw in this meal which I found weird. I don't know if it was not crispy to begin with, but by the time we got the chicken drowned in the rancid sauce, it was not crispy and it was just okay. I got the jalapeño hash. It came with chorizo. I substituted the tomato for mushroom, but it did not save the dish. The chorizo was very low-quality meat and it looked like dog food. The home fries that were underneath were also soggy. The raw egg did not help either. Once we received our bill, we noticed extra charges for the egg that I had to get replaced , the mushroom that I asked to substitute for the tomato ( which again would've been an easy explanation if it were going to be extra, had our server not been in a rush) and we got charged for a side of Chipotle mayo that we had asked for (which they ended up bringing a tub of the rancid sauce... hot... which was that same sauce they threw on top of the meal). Upon an addressing these issues with the first manager, there was some pushback and an agreement for 10% discount. Hassan our server then made it a point that he did not charge us for the hot chocolate when he brought the check back, which I found quite disrespectful at the fact that he tried to save himself the tip although he provided terrible service. If the restaurant was busy, I would understand the neglectful and rushed service, but this wasn't the case. The best part of this experience was the second manager to touch the table whose name was Marc. he was the only person who seemed apologetic for our terrible experience as a manager. He didn't recognize the problem with patrons, leaving with full plates of food still on the table. read more

A group of six's of us came here at around 11am the Sunday of a three day holiday weekend. The line was 30 people long when we showed up. A bartender came out and told us the bar was nearly empty and first come first serve, so we booked it and found six available seats in a row! Drink menu is very eye-catching, drinks are pictured and all very colorful and vibrant. I got a bloody mary which was pretty boring but well-balanced. Mimosas came in a plastic souvenir cup. Our bartender was unbelievably nice.. took our order quickly and was very attentive throughout. I don't even remember the name of the meal I got but it's pictured. It was delicious but way too big. 7/5/24 This is inside the Tropicana. With easy access from the boardwalk. We had a late start on a Friday morning and thought there would be less people, we were wrong. Long line waiting to be seated and most tables were full. The line actually got longer behind us lol. I can see why, food is good and service is great. Dana was such a cheerful and friendly person. Corned Beef, Red Onion and Swiss Cheese Hash - in a heavy cast iron skillet. There was so much food for breakfast lol. The corned beef was so good, tasted like it was freshly made in house. BBBLT - skipping breakfast for this giant BBBLT. I didn't like the bread, the edges were crispy and was perfect for the BBB but the center was soggy. They used a quarter of a small lettuce for the L, so I used it as bread and it was actually much better. Bacon were crispy not how I usually have bacon but it worked here. Good place for breakfast. I was excited to see a Hash House A Go Go because I enjoyed the one in Vegas. The service was quick and the server was very nice. The food was underwhelming. I had the French toast, which was topped with a caramelized banana the issue was that the banana was still in the peel and I believe caramelizing it in the peel gave it a slightly bitter taste that I didn't enjoy. I felt like the taste seeped into the French toast so even just removing the banana didn't help. My friend ordered the pancake. I tried some and it was dry and fell apart easily. Went to Atlantic City for the day with friends. Came across this restaurant in The Tropicana Hotel, Hash House a Go Go. The food is twisted farm food, meaning old school meets new versions of dishes served. I had a delicious broiled chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon on a soft warm bun, Along with a farm fresh side salad. My friend had a fried chicken sandwich with pickles and cheese on a warm bun with a side salad. Everything was tasty and fresh. Portions were of a good size and prices were about $20.00 a sandwich. We had an ice tea and a flavored peach ice tea. Our server, Robert, was very pleasant and made sure our order came out to our liking. The decor was clean, and outside the restaurant was a tractor to represent the farm fresh food. They offer a large variety of breakfast foods, lunch and dinner. Came here for brunch on Sunday morning. We were a group of 10 and we had a reservation. There were plenty of tables available - the restaurant is pretty big. While the servers were generally attentive and nice (despite having to ask 3 times for milk for our coffee), all of the food was mediocre. The restaurant prioritizes quantity over quality. I don't need a gigantic plate of food that tastes like garbage. Also not sure why it's necessary to have an oversized piece of rosemary sticking out of nearly every meal. Since I was a little hungover from the night before, I ordered chicken fingers and fries. The chicken was inedible. I didn't complain or ask them to take it back. When they cleared the table, our waitress asked if I wanted to take it to go and I simply said no, its inedible - she ended up taking the meal off the bill at least. I also had ordered the bacon bacon bacon and that was pretty gross - comes with 4 pieces. I wish I had just gotten a side of regular bacon. A couple of the women in my party ordered pancakes. Again, quantity over quality - you get one gigantic round dry pancake. I had a piece of my friend's chocolate chip one - it was all crumbly / falling apart. How do you mess up pancakes that badly? The breakfast potatoes were bad. French toast was a mushy average mess. I have nothing positive to say about the food served here. What can I say about the food that hasn't already been said? I got the famous Chicken & Waffles. We also got a Basic Breakfast. BOTH were HUGE portions. Very tasty. My only complaint was the batter on the chicken was sorta hard. I could understand crunchy but this one wasn't flaky crisp. It was hard crisp. The food came out quick. Everything else was yummy. That biscuit was FANTASTIC! But the BEST part of our meal was our server, Yvette!! WHAT a sweetheart even if she was wearing an Eagles jersey. Lol.
