I'm only giving this place 2 stars because they are open late. While yes my nails looked really pretty after my nail appointment that didn't last very long. I had my nails done on Tuesday night and on Saturday morning I had one nail pop off like a Lee Press on Nail while putting my clothes into my washing machine. Mind you I don't do dishes or anything like that so I know it wouldn't be that. Yesterday I had the one next to it break as well just as easily. I found this place off of yelp, it was a little hard to see from the parking lot but just look for the lighted sign. They got me in right away for a gel manicure & did a great job in the short time frame that I had. I came back 3 days later for a pedicure. They got me in right away again and I was impressed that they did a sugar scrub and a hot stone included in the basic pedicure. I'm happy with the way that my toes look and the color. The shop was dirty and not very inviting and there was a dance class going on next door that was so loud it was uncomfortable. I love this nail salon. They have color-changing nail polish (gel) that changes color when your hands are warm vs. cold. It sometimes hombres when you put your tips of fingers in cold water; it's SUPER cool. It was $41 for a gel manicure, regular pedicure, and that included massage, hot stones on the legs, etc. It is usually not very busy b/c it is a hidden gem. The ladies who work there are super sweet and easy to talk to. I love how responsive they are when I ask for an appointment. They also wax! I get my brows threaded usually but when I have asked them to wax it was a good job. $ Value: $41/ for full-service gel mani and regular pedi. You don't get much better than that. Location: Right in a supermarket nook in Concord. 5 minutes away from my house! Appt. ease: They pick up the phone every time. Same day appointments easy to achieve. Color choices: Full spectrum; never disappointed. Color changing polish is the first I've seen in a nail salon, and I have been ALL over. Service: Sweet and straightforward; nice people who work there who know what they're doing. Speed/ efficiency: An hour. Length of lasting: 2-3 weeks (toes last 1.5+ months) Business: Not busy! Good prices, great service, knowledgeable nail tech for an owner!! It is Christmas eve. I had no appointment. Two of the owner's other workers, I found out after I was seated, had called out sick today. There were two clients ahead of me. And yet, despite all this, I was still in and out in an hour. I got just a gel color application (I don't take care of my cuticles nearly enough to justify getting a manicure), which is fairly priced at $15. The owner (I didn't get her name, but based on other reviews it seems to be Lisa?) was helpful in suggesting which colors would look good on me, and when I was indecisive and changed my mind 3 times, she was very patient. She steered me away from sheer colors (why still keep the bottle if it's sheer?? idk, but it's not my salon so w/e~), and even though she worked quickly, she still made sure to get all sides of my nail and have the color go all the way down super close to the bottom, which is my biggest annoyance and what has stopped me from returning to other salons. Moreover, in a short time while I was there, a customer came back to complain about the color and work of her nails after this customer had already paid and left. Even though Lisa always shows you the nail color you chose on a single finger and asks you if you like it before completing both hands, and even though she was really busy already, and even though the customer could've spoken up in the middle of her manicure if she wasn't happy with the work that was being done instead of inconveniencing not only the owner but also the other clients by waiting till the very end, Lisa still took the time to make sure this customer was satisfied. In case you couldn't tell, this is definitely my go-to nail place. I encourage you to give it a try, too. read more

I did not pay $40 to have these nails fall off/break within less than a week. The lady did not file my nails down enough and I'm pretty disappointed. I got these nails done on Thursday and one broke on Monday and the other fell off Tuesday. Don't waste your money. I'd also like to add that service was off to say the least. While she was doing my nails she was FaceTiming someone who I'd assume was her son and there was another nail tech sitting next to her watching her do my nails. The guy here is so rude and unprofessional. I went in at 9 because I had to be at the airport and my regular place opens @ 10. The lady doing my pedi asked him more than once to start my nails then and he didn't; just sat there texting, staring, waiting, doing nothing. If I wasn't on a time crunch and really needed my nails done I would've left right after the pedi. He won't be getting a tip from me and I won't be back whether the end result is good or not. Update** finally left. Now I def won't be back. Without and questions this guy just started doing nails, didn't ask if I want it cut down, and one would assume if you're going to have attitude with a customer you actually do their nails the same way they walked in, but no. I breathed through that knowing it wouldn't happen again but finally when he put a completely different shade of pink on my finger than my toe, which was also not the one he took up first, I was livid. I pointed out light pink, rose pink not the same thing. He instead it was. I said look at my toes, then he sighed walked away and came back with right color. Good things: Everybody here was really nice even though they barely spoke any English. I appreciated that they let me get the mani/pedi combo roughly 35 minutes before closing time on a Saturday evening. I got the basic one, and they even used hot stones to massage my feet. The old lady used good pressure during the calf/foot/hand/arm massaging. Also, the massage chair was clean and functioning properly. The paint job was done very well and is still intact. Bad things: The old lady did my pedicure. That's not the bad thing. The bad thing was that her fingernails were V-shaped, meaning every nail on her hands was like a sharp dagger, and several times she poked/stabbed/scraped me with them which was highly unpleasant. It hurt! Also, she was so focused on my callouses. I appreciate her trying hard to scrub off the hard, dry skin; however, she was also scraping off the soft skin that's between the callous on my big toe and the one on my bunion area, and it hurt so much I finally started saying OUCH and yanking my foot away. She scraped my skin off, leaving a sore open wound! So, unfortunately, Grandma ruined my experience at this nail salon which is why I chose two stars, meaning "Meh. I've experienced better.", because it's true, I HAVE experienced better. I guess I'd go back as long she wasn't working with me, but there are so many other nail salons to choose from around here, there's just no need. This place is not too bad, it was slightly awkward since me and my boyfriend were the only customers that sunday afternoon. I took my boyfriend here for his first pedicure and i got the mani/pedi combo with gel nails. The pedicure was nice, it did feel a little rushed because I wish they scrubbed a little more. And the foot massage was a little too long but the hot stone part was pretty interesting! When the guy was doing my foot massage, one of the ladies came to clean up my finger nails while in the pedicure chair. As she was filing my nails, the dust was getting all over my lap as if she was not cautious about it at all. Yes Yelp, I am indeed a very big fan of this place. This place was a little hard to locate since it's actually inside a small shopping mall attached to the super market. It was hard to place the mood the employees were in. The first woman who worked on my feet said nothing to me; in fact, she just kept a blank stare the whole time and just worked. She did an amazing job, just quiet is not what I'm used to when I come to nail spas. The second woman who actually clipped, and did all the dirty work to my nails started out quiet, but once she got into she was quite talkative and very funny. She was very quick, and very thorough. I'm really bad at cutting my own nails, and most of the time I leave them somewhat jagged (don't judge). For that reason I'm always afraid of getting an ingrown toe nail. The woman working on my feet seemed to get that from working on my toes, and after she was done I honestly don't have that fear anymore. My toes look amazing, and they feel fantastic. Because I got clear gloss on my nails, the woman brought me over to a cooling station to help them dry quicker. This too was a new thing for me. They had some trouble with their credit card machine when it came time to pay, and it took the third person at the machine to get it working. But this place is pretty amazing. Also, on a side note: I'm not sure who the gentleman walking around, making sure everyone was happy, and then working on a young boys feet (who was scared of being there and he calmed him down) is, but he was amazing. My guess would be that he's the owner and/or manager, just from the way he interacted with his customers. Rubys Nails, keep it up. read more

This place is a great value, but I wasn't thrilled with the quality ... initially I really liked my nails (he did a decent job at matching the design) but sadly my gel nails began to chip less than a week and a half in (im used to them lasting for at least three weeks). The nail art they did was also a little uneven ~ not terribly so, but enough that it left me feeling kinda meh a couple days after. If you're looking for something well priced and quick, Ruby's is for you; otherwise another spot might be a better fit. read more

Love this place. Doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to get my nails done. I call and they let me pick an appointment. Then I go in, sit in the massage chairs and get a pedicure and a manicure. They are friendly. I enjoy this place very much. Full disclosure: I was a little concerned about this place because I had never been to that part of monument. It's like a hidden mall and a lot of the stuff is in Spanish. However, it's pretty nice. The mall, the nail shop, all of it is pretty nice. Highly recommended. read more

I love this place! The people here are very meticulous when they paint your nails and I never have paint missing on sides or anything and even if it's busy, their undivided attention is on you! The older woman (forgot her name) gives the BESTTTTT foot rubs ever and hand rubs! If it weren't for the Zumba playing next door I would have fallen asleep lol. Call and make an appointment though just because there aren't a lot of workers and the shop isn't the biggest! They are all so sweet as well. I went once before and I got the same awesome service as before. The second time I came with my mom to treat her for her birthday and they sat us next to each other the whole time and didn't rush us out although it was near closing time. The ped chairs are probably the nicest I've sat in, ever. Lei did my pedi and she was just the sweetest person ever. Really cared about my comfort and did a wonderful massage. My nails look awesome! I didn't get the name of the young guy that did my mani because I was already in a relaxed stupor but he was great too. The only minor qualm I had was that at about 7:30p a Zumba class begins next door and the music was craaaaazy loud even with the doors closed. It was good salsa music though so oh well lol. Came in today for a Shellac manicure and spa pedicure! This place was a bit tricky to find because it is located inside the Las Montanas grocery store building. Lots of parking available! I called before, before I came and did not wait to get service. They have only been open for 8 months. They have a clean area, the pedicure chairs are brand new, and many nail polish colors to choose from. My pedicure was done by Kathy, very gentle and clean work. My manicure with Shellac was started by Lisa but finished by Kevin (I think). Pretty decent job! I paid $40 for both services. They do take credit cards. Overall I will definitely come back! I was getting my acrylics off and usually you let them soak in acetone but she forcefully took them off. It hurt a lot and i told her and she kept telling me it doesn't hurt but who is feeling the pain her or me? She was so forceful it cracked my natural nail and i started bleeding. She kept saying it was okay but she broke my nail how is that okay?! Her excuse to not use acetone was it takes longer but i really didn't mind waiting she didn't have the patience for it.
