Woke up early today Saturday to take my mother for her first ever hair appt scheduled for 9. We get there 9:12 (i believe) and theres a stylist there already working. States the stylist Sarah is on her way. To me is a red flag as if youre doing color & highlights your station would at least be prepped already.. we waited sitting there till 9:45 hoping she would show up..never showed up. The stylist there was kind enough to call her again (no answer) and offered my mom help but i declined. We set this appointment up for her as we have a party later today and had the time slot specifically for this. Waste of time & waste of a drive to sit there for about 40 minutes hoping she would show. This literally ruined the day. Didnt get a follow up call or nothing. As I was looking for a place to get my hair done in the area, I stumbled upon this on Yelp and the reviews looked really nice. I gave a call and spoke with Rheina -- she is such an angel!! She was so patient, helpful, and so knowledgeable on how to help just based on the information I gave over the phone. She was able to get me booked and then my Mom on Mother's Day. They are usually closed on Sunday but she was SO kind to come in just for her. My Mom felt so special and relaxed in the chair. Sooo relaxed that she took a nap. When it was my appointment, I felt so seen/understood! Ive never had a stylist before, every-time I got my haircut it was strictly business and no conversations were had. Whereas, Rheina was a whole different experience. She really wants to get to know her clients and made me feel so welcome from the get-go. Also, I didn't even know this when I booked here but this establishment is Filipina women-owned (Daphne) and Rheina is also Filipina too. As a Filipina-women, I felt so happy and at home being surrounded by such genuine, warm, and talented women!! The ambience and amenities offered here were so beautiful and well-maintained. I definitely felt pampered. Also, shoutout to Jack (Daphne's dog) for being the sweetest little guy that kept coming for pets/scratches. So cute! read more

This was my first experience at this hair salon. I had a smooth experience overall, right from finding appointment slot within a day to the hair cut/styling. So I had booked a day in advance for a Friday afternoon appointment, and luckily got it. My stylist's name was Sarah. On the day of, Sarah was very warm and provided some good insights into healthy hair/scalp products/habits. She did a nice job with shampoo/cutting/blowdrying my long hair, she gave me a layered cut. I told her I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do to my hair but I just knew that it was looking dull and overall just needed a refresh. I came on Saturday 5/24 to get my hair done here visiting from LA. First I want to say that the girl who did my hair was super sweet and caring. You can tell she cares about doing a good job. But I needed to write this review to make sure this improves for future clients. I booked an appointment for 12:45pm for a simple blowout since I had a wedding to go to at 4:30pm. I have really curly hair and a lot of it, it takes me sometimes up to 2 hours to do my hair alone so I thought it would be nice to get it done and save me an hour and 15 mins. I get my hair my hair done at least once a month in LA and it usually takes about 45 mins for everything. I got a call from the salons asking if I could come in at 1:15pm because they were running behind, and I said no worries I understand. I show up at 1:10pm and the hair stylist is still working on the previous client, she said she was running behind and apologized. At this point I say no worries and wait an extra 30 mins to start getting my hair washed at 1:40pm. This was a little annoying but the girl seemed very nice and I'd still rather get my hair done instead of drive home and do on my own for an extra 2 hours so I'm willing to wait. In my head I'm thinking I'll get salon grade blowout which is better than I can do. Then I get my blowout done and don't see the final look until the end when she turned my chair toward the mirror. Hair was nothing of what I asked but the worst part was that my roots were still wet. I have really curly hair so this means that as soon as my hair dries the roots would be curly and frizzy. I noticed as I was getting my hair done she didn't dry my hair enough at the beginning (usually should be like 70-80% dry before styling) and she was also not using the brush well when blowing out, it never felt like she was pulling on the hair to get it fully straight. I thanked her and left because I didn't realize how wet it still was but as soon as I got home I had to essentially touch up my hair with my blow dryer and re style it to the way I wanted. This added so much time to my day. I'm writing this because people book these appointments for special occasions, please be mindful of their time. Also work better on drying and styling. Again like I said I get blowouts often, this was the worst blowout I've gotten. Really nice staff, really cute salon. Lots of potential, but would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you don't want to read a long narrative style here is the short version: Rheina was my hair stylist and she was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive and very informative. She gave me a cut that complements my face shape and matches what I was looking for. Now for the long version: I tried to schedule a day-of appointment online but I'm old fashioned so I just wound up calling instead. Initially there was no answer but then Rheina called me back. She told me I could come in right then and she'd cut my hair right away or I could wait to come in at the later time that I was trying to book. Being super excited to get my hair cut, I decided to head over to the salon right away. I met with Rheina and she was so kind. She sat down with me to talk to me about what I was looking for and how I care for my hair. She answered all of my (many) questions. I booked a haircut and treatment with Sarah through the Vagaro app. I was really blown away by the salon's interior. The salon has lots of natural light, which compliments the cozy atmosphere nicely. I noticed a dog bed, which staff mentioned is for the owner's doggy Jack (which I hope to meet next time!). Sarah is so chill and is great to have mom-to-mom talks with. She gave me a lovely short haircut, which boosted my confidence since the visit. Prior to this, my hair was dull and lifeless. I also throughly enjoyed the hair treatment. After reading so many nice reviews from other clients, I scheduled an appointment with Bonne on Thursday, June 30th for a Brazilian blowout. My hair looked really nice and I was happy with how it looked until I washed it 3 days later with my sulfate free shampoo/conditioner. I sent a text message to Bonne to let her know my hair was still very curly and frizzy. I feel disappointed that I paid $200 dollars plus gave a generous $50 tip. My hair was supposed to be easy to manage for up to 12 weeks (3 months). So much for having straight hair for my trip to Hawaii. I was apparently supposed to request a "permanent hair straightener." Since I didn't there wasn't anything more she could do. Since she's a professional hair stylist, I feel like she wasn't empathetic to my situation. read more

I had my first time experience at this salon earlier of Feb this year. It was amazing! The place's ambiance are welcoming, cozy and plays good music. Even though I've only seen 3 staffs in the place since I came in in the middle of pandemic, the staffs are very nice, friendly and entertaining. I came in for a haircut recommended by my boyfriend's Mom whose been coming in this place for quite a while now especially for her 15-yr long hairstylist which she has managed to hook me up for an appointment. Her name is Bonne. Bonne is so accommodating and took care of my hair so perfectly. I have 0 experience coming in a salon to have my hair cut and I'm not sure of what I wanted but as soon as she's seen my hair, she then gave advices of what I needed and made it happened. She gave me a layered cut. My hair is originally wavy and curly at the ends. She's given me this cut while maintaining my hair length and added volume to my hair. I came out happy with the results. I only came in for a haircut but felt like my hair was styled. I just felt more after the cut. She's gave great hair care advices too that were very helpful, thank you Bonne. I've read good reviews and was recommended by my sister who had a good experience. It says that they dont have any slots available for all the days 3 months out on the website It wont let me select a stylist, so I suspect that the site isn't working properly. I atried calling them but no one would pick up and they dont take messages and referred be back to the site which does not seem to work. And there is no messaging option here on Yelp. I came in with damaged hair that was super orange and you can tell my precious stylists kept putting "bandaids" rather than fixing the problem. I am surprised I just found out about this salon. Love the ambiance of this place! I booked an appointment months in advance with Alexis Nicole for Friday 5pm for a cut and root touch up. I just wanted a change since I wasn't happy with my previous hair stylist. I was a little afraid trying something new, but I'm so happy I took the leap of faith and tried out this salon! I honestly wished I tried them out sooner! I walked in and was greeted by their emotional support dog Jack! He's so cute and friendly. As a dog lover, this set my mood from exhausted after a long week of work to joy immediately. I met Alexis Nicole and loved her vibe the entire time. She's genuinely nice, friendly, and awesome. I normally don't talk much with my stylist and/or my stylist rushes through the hair coloring and cutting, but Alexis Nicole took the time to explain to me what she's doing, her thoughts on what to do, and seems genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person. She was very careful when putting dye on my hair, and made sure she left very little marks on my face. My previous experience left dye all over my hairline and near the ears. I was shocked I barely had any marks after my experience with Alexis Nicole. She also took the time to cut my hair and ensured it was even by making me stand and turn my head. Kayla revived my hair and brought it back to life!! I came in with super brassy, dry hair wanting to dye it back to my natural color. I told her I wanted to eventually have virgin hair again so she didn't touch my roots at all, fading the dye into my natural hair color. I didn't even think of that so I'm glad she brought it up. As for the cut, I told her I just wanted to cut my hair short with face framing layers while still keeping it thick and full. S/O to Alexis Nicole for bringing my hair back to life after a year of not having a proper haircut! I was initially really hesitant to get my hair cut during the pandemic. But after watching many YouTube videos, buying a pair of shears from amazon, and asking friends to take a stab at trimming my hair I figured I couldn't put it off any longer. My hair was heavy, frizzy, and full of dead ends that was getting hard to brush through. I was the first appointment of the day at 8am on a Saturday and for a good portion of my appointment was the only customer there. That made me feel really comfortable - I didn't have to remove my mask for the haircut (even during the hairwash!) and the people working there kept their masks on the entire time. Alexis Nicole was fun, bubbly, and helpful! After having very minimal social interactions with strangers thanks to the pandemic, I was kind of worried about awkward salon talk but she made me feel so comfortable! She gave me some recommendations for hair products that could help my damaged hair (I know people usually see this as pushing product for the extra commission but she gave me options from Sephora asking me what stores I usually shop at - she's just trying to help a girl out!)
