I've been here several times, and it's become one of my favorite local breakfast spots. If you arrive before about 10:00-10:30 a.m., it's usually not overly crowded, making it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Don't expect anything fancy--just a solid, well-cooked breakfast at reasonable prices. On this visit I had a waffle, four sausage patties, and coffee, and everything was fresh and very enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. In the past, they occasionally had trouble cooking eggs to order. If you asked for medium, they sometimes came out hard. The last time my Navy buddy and I visited, that seemed to have been corrected. I didn't order eggs today, so I can't say whether that improvement has continued, but it's worth mentioning because they did appear to address the issue. Overall, it's a comfortable, relaxing place with good food, fair prices, and dependable service. If you're looking for a no-frills breakfast done well, it's an easy recommendation. read more

Eggs Up Grill is my go to when I want Gluten Free Eggs Benedict . I checked with the waitress and this location does not have gluten free bread but they were able to put it on hash browns for me. The food was hot and came out fairly quickly. They had plenty of dressing for a weekday with a mix of tables and booths. I was able to park right in front of the restaurant. The staff was helpful and efficient. Great for a quick breakfast. read more

My brother and I split our sandwiches cause we couldn't choose. He liked the turkey apple melt the best which is a fall menu item but I liked the melty crisco the best. The chips are not house made or anything they are just standard potato chips but you could also do homestyle potatoes (I don't care for theirs because they are never crispy.) We didn't have much of a wait for seating the morning we came but the wait for our food was closer to 20 mins. Our server was a high school student, very sweet and attentive. Took forever to get our food but probably because they were strategically spacing the hair on my plate with my bland avocado toast covered in Old El Paso salsa. The food options were ok, nothing stood out that I'd recall the menu to be honest. The coffee (hot) was good. I had an omelette and English muffin toasted. My youngest had scrambled eggs and bacon with white toast. It was ok. A bit on the bland side so I did need to add some seasoning. My little added ketchup to his. Honestly, better than most places in the area but still a bit disappointed. Had a 20 minute wait to be seated which is fairly normal for the area. They had two well cleaned All-Gender bathrooms and a fairly spacious seating layout. Our waitress Maddie G was very nice and attentive to our tables needs, answered any questions we had, drinks were refilled, came and checked up on us etc. Our food did take quite a while to come out, but after asking to check on it for us she came back and let us know it was on the way and even gave us a discount for the inconvenience. When my food came out, I'd ordered a medium rare steak and over easy eggs. My steak was more medium well than medium rare and one of the eggs was overcooked. Found out today that this restaurant is under new management starting TODAY. Met the new owner, he is very nice. He has other successful Eggs up Grill's and is Very excited that they're going to be refreshing the restaurant and bringing the great Eggs Up Grill expectations back to the Wilmington market. Decided to try this place for lunch , had heard it as good and tried another day and it was packed . There were only several other patrons when we arrived , got seated immediately. Menus and beverages were served immediately. I decided on the Chocolate Praline Pancakes , everything sounded wonderful. It is two pancakes , chocolate chips, praline pecans and caramel drizzle. My sister decided on the Blueberry Cobbler Pancake. Our pancakes arrived super fast and were hot . The pancakes were large, fluffy and had great, flavor. The chocolate chips were on top of the pancakes , not inside them. The pecans added a nice crunch to them. I also got a rouge blueberry from my sisters order, that had great flavor . There are cute egg pictures around the restaurant and an egg counter . It is a place that I would go back to . I do think that it would get loud with the restaurant packed , so go early. read more

Perhaps this was an off day but all of our potato's (home fry's) were raw. Our server was really nice but by the time she checked on us and we were able to tell her, we already ate the edible portions of our meal. She offered to bring out new potatoes but none of us wanted to sit and wait for potatoes after eating what we could eat. Most of my meal was inedible because I ordered steak and eggs. My steak was tough (it's usually good) and I couldn't cut it without an unreasonable amount of effort. I did try one bite and it was grisly so I didn't eat it. I didn't complain (though I did tell our server our meals were not up to pair). I paid our $38 bill for three meals and tipped 15% because the sever didn't cook the meal but I was taken back a bit that this is acceptable to the restaurant to charge for uneaten food and not care about serving low quality and raw food. First things first...if I could give separate ratings for how the follow covid procedures, then they would get a 5 all day long. All staff wore masks and gloves, the place was very clean and they had every other table blocked off to allow for proper social distancing. The service was great but we were also there at a very quiet time, so to be able to say that, that is the level of service when they are packed, I wouldn't be able to say. Now the food. This is where the 3 star rating comes in. The portion size is plenty. The grits are instant and we're a HUGE disappointment. I wish more restaurants would specify on the menu whether they are instant or homemade as that would have definitely made me choose the home fries instead. My husband got the home fries bowl with sausage, bacon and cheddar. If it weren't for the sausage gravy he ordered on the side and added to it, he said the dish would have been extremely dry. I got the classic which is 2 eggs any style, choice of sausage or bacon and choice of grits or home fries. I got my eggs poached and they were perfect. Would I go out of my way to dine here again? Ate at this franchise for breakfast as the first customer on their grand opening day. There's a wide variety of breakfast options as well as gluten-free pancakes, salads, sandwiches and burgers. There is plenty of seating indoors. No outdoor seating. I ordered an Avocado Toast ($8.15), French Toast ($7.25), and a side of egg ($0.95). The avocado toast can be ordered as a "Craveable Bite" or as a full meal with 2 eggs in the " Breakfast Classics". The avocado toast came with a generous portion of smashed avocado and fresh picante salsa with red bell peppers and red onions. The first few bites were tasty but the portion size of avocado and salsa was a bit too much for my taste. It's advertised as on top of a thick sliced jalapeno cornbread toast. If I didn't know any better, I would think I was eating it on a regular piece of thick toast. The jalapenos are very finely minced pieces and there are barely any jalapenos in the toast. The bread was a good base for the toppings, it was thick and dense enough to not crumble or get soggy. If you order the avocado toast with eggs, it would be filling. The French toast comes as two slices of dense cinnamon swirl bread dipped in custard and sprinkled with powdered sugar. This was good and I would order it again. You can request for maple syrup to be served warm. Definitely recommend doing that. The French toast is served with either a side of sausage or bacon. You can substitute ham for an additional cost. I chose sausage-it was basic. I requested my egg to be cooked over medium. It was a bit too runny. Hopefully over time they will get better at cooking eggs since my visit was their first day of opening. My waitress and the owner were both friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. read more

I guess they were having a bad Saturday morning. Our order took forever ever and the dining area was less than half empty. The waitstaff kept apologizing. It looked like the kitchen was on a break or in training or???? Who knows. Finally, the poached eggs arrived complete with smell and taste of vinegar. Stopped in in my way home from Carolina Beach. I loved Eggs Up Grill in Myrtle Beach so thought it would be the same. We'll close but ... ordered steak and eggs (hold the eggs) with fried potatoes and French toast instead of toast. The French toast was made with a slice of cinnamon bread but had a lot of egg cooked on it (I know it has and egg but this looked like they dropped the bread into a fried egg). The potatoes were red skin potatoes and heavily seasoned but not really fried. The steak had the amazing seasoning that I love but I asked for medium well and they butterflied it to cook it and a large chunk was still raw. I will say the waitress was really friendly so that made up for the meal. I am not sure I'd return to this location but will definitely be back when in Myrtle Beach!! read more

This place is super cute inside with ample space between tables so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of one another. Menu looks great with lots of options for breakfast and lunch. The food, however, was not good at all. I ordered a Greek omelet which has spinach, feta, tomatoes and black olives. I ordered it without the black olives and potatoes well done. It arrived with no olives, but they added so many onions (not included in the Greek) that my plate reeked of onions. The potatoes were under done. The best part- my plate also had 2 really long black hairs right on top. The only reason for the 2 stars and not 1 is because our server was great and it was not his fault. We will never visit this place again which is a true bummer since it's really close to our home and on paper looks delicious! read more

After finding our "go-to" breakfast place in Shallotte was closed on Tuesday, we searched for another and fortunately (and quickly) found Eggs Up Grill...YUM! What an interesting menu and there was not one ingredient listed that my husband and I do not enjoy. From north, to south, to sweet and savory, there's something for all to choose. (It now has a slight lead over our 20-year "go-to".) I ordered the Hash Benedict, requesting the addition of avocado (extra charge) with the side of fresh fruit. My husband ordered the Patty "O'Something" Omelette with hash browns. And all was the real deal! The corned beef hash was NOT from a can and as far as I could tell, on my plate and in my mouth, it was prepared somewhere by hand. The same with my husband's hash browns...big chunks of potatoes with smaller bits fried to a golden brown. My fresh fruit was truly fresh and not the frequent boring cantaloupe & honeydew only, although it did include those. It also included blueberries, strawberries & grapes, cut small so that a nice rounded bowl of fruit was a handsome side dish. The only blip on mine was the sliced avocado on top, which was hard, thus unripe. I've eaten avocados since I was a young child. There are certain fruits and vegetables one does not eat raw. Avocado is one. I told our server Meghan (excellent, by the way) who shared the information with the kitchen. She brought out some mashed avocado in it's place and deleted the charge from our bill. All was great again! We're moving to Ocean Isle Beach in the next week and plan to be back to Eggs Up Grill to sample many more of their yummy-sounding choices. I was craving breakfast for lunch and I was able to get a delivery from here to work. I ordered a build your own omelet with egg whites, turkey bacon, spinach, avocado,black olives, onions and peppers. It was served with a side of fruit and a choice of bread. I went with an English muffin. The omelet was $16.99 before the delivery fees and taxes. For a non fancy omelet, I felt that was pretty pricey. When it showed up, it looked delicious! The fruit was very good and fresh and the omelet tasted good. What I started to notice was all the grease that the omelet had. The notion of my box was covered. Also, the English muffin was soggy from whatever butter substitute they used. I understand that places that serve omelets cook on a platform that may have some grease but for a $17.00 omelet I would assume they would see that I was asking for a healthy option and not cover it in grease. Mh stomach is definitely paying the price now. read more

Pretty good breakfast place on the outskirts of Wilmington near Carolina Beach. They had a bit of a wait on a Summer Saturday morning but it wasn't terrible. Maybe 30 minutes. A lot of food places are short-staffed now and they may have been also. I went with the biscuits and gravy with home fries, coffee, and juice. The biscuit and gravy were good, but not a very big portion. The home fries weren't quite as crispy as I prefer but otherwise good. Coffee and juice were on point. The eggs up grill was a very clean place and looked pretty new. I have had better food, but the staff was very friendly and efficient. read more
