So it just started out riding through the small areas of the Eastern Shore and a gas run. He asked me if I wanted to go get a coffee....I said no, let's find a pub or brewery. I consulted with my phone like all of us do these days and found 4 Dogs. Waze kind of messed us up, but it actually worked out because in our being turned around for a few minutes, we found another place that we will be returning to before the summer season starts to try out and I will review on that at some point. We pulled up to this very pleasant looking building with some dogs painted on it. We walked in and it was just this nice place with pool tables, some tables to sit at and of course a bar. We selected to sit at the bar. We were served by Chris who was just fantastic and makes a great orange crush. The vibe is just so nice in the pub, just the way I like it. You can hear yourself think, you can talk to your partner without screaming, yet there is music playing and laughter....it's just a nice friendly place. We ordered a Hot Honey Old Bay order of wings as we were going back to our campsite to have dinner. Would for sure order these again. They were meaty, and the sauce was sticking to the wing, not laying all over the basket. Very impressed with the taste. We thought the drinks were a great price, but then living in the Baltimore area, we get hammered on price here when we go out, which is why more often than not, hubby makes our drinks at home these days.....but this is a nice little place in the town of Easton which looks like it has a bunch of hidden little gems and we are going to take another trip down soon! Really enjoyed our time at this pub!

On this visit, we sat at the bar to watch the playoff game. The bar had only a handful of guests, yet we waited nearly 15 minutes before being acknowledged. The bartender walked past us twice without making eye contact or offering so much as a greeting. Eventually, I had to raise my hand to get his attention. The food was equally underwhelming. The pub chips were neither crisp nor tender--just bland, thin potato rounds were lukewarm warm if that virtually no seasoning or texture, resembling cardboard more than a house-made side. My friend ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and the chicken lacked flavor entirely the coleslaw competed with the buffalo sauce . The roll was hard, dry, and difficult to eat. The one bright spot was the crab and artichoke dip, which was tasty and well-prepared. What ultimately soured the evening, however, was the lack of hospitality. We originally came for the game and dessert and decided to stay for dinner. After our meal, I requested a dessert menu. The bartender handed me one and then casually informed me that the kitchen had already closed. There was no apology, no effort to accommodate us, and no prior warning that the kitchen would be closing. Had we been informed while ordering dinner, we would have happily ordered dessert at the same time. Instead, we were left looking at a menu for items that were no longer available. Good hospitality is about anticipation and communication. Telling paying guests after the fact that they can no longer order dessert because the kitchen has closed reflects a lack of attentiveness and customer care. Four visits were enough. There are too many restaurants that value both food quality and guest experience for me to give this one a fifth chance.

Don't bother, waited almost two hours for a take-out lunch today as did a dozen or so others waiting outside. Amazed that they we still taking new orders with this backup. One chef on the line had a poor fitting face mask hanging below his nose - when I said something, no one seem to care. Food was cold and I didn't notice they forgot to include my sides till I got home. Food was also cold. Poor execution in all areas today. They should give everyone a full credit card refund who went out to support them on their re-grand opening today and waited over an hour - until they do, I won't be back. read more

When we travel we always look for BBQ restaurants and we've yet to find one as good as this place. They make all their own sauces and we love them all. The brisket and the turkey are my favorites but the chicken and pork are good too. Best baked beans I've ever had. Not too sweet and and plenty of vegetables and bits of meat make the bean almost a meal. Save room for dessert if you can. The pies are homemade and delicious. read more

I found the BBQ good but not blow away. Service is about what you would expect in a small place , friendly and fairly fast. I was very disappointed in the price of the sides although they were good, I found them expensive for the size of the portion. I will go back but won't drive out of the way to get there. read more

We also had the candied bacon appetizer. It was a little soft when served but given a little time to cool it crisped up and was tastier. The crispy brussels sprouts were also good, they needed a little salt and additional sauce offered would have taken it up a bit. It would make a nice date night spot, definitely more casual. The outdoor patio would be cool too, in less humid weather. We didn't see much of our server after the food arrived, but I kind of get it - it's not like you're at a Michelin star fine dining place. I also note that seating is limited so you may find yourself waiting or doing a take out order instead. Service was friendly, dining area was clean. I thought the price was a little steep for what we ordered but we did sit and eat and the food was good.

We love small business and try to support them whenever we can. It's a cute little store front in the sleepy little town of Preston. You can appreciate these calm little places when you have to hustle and bustle through Baltimore daily. We were given menus and pretty much a few minutes later, our server Luke came over to take our drink orders which we promptly gave him. Upon bringing back the menus, he told us about all of their specials that evening. I decided to go for one of them which was the scallops and Parmesan risotto. My husband selected the shrimp and grits which was also on my radar. I figured that I could have some of his. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts. Our drinks arrived and a few minutes later, we were dining on these wonderful brussel sprouts! They were fried perfectly and had a nice topping to include cranberry, maple bacon and a balsamic glaze which balanced them out perfectly! Right on cue, our dinners arrived. Everything was good perfectly. The scallops were a nice size and the risotto was delicious. I really did love my husband's dish of shrimp and grits. I would have been just as happy with that one too. The grits were cheesy, the shrimps were a beautiful size and it had a smattering of pork barbecue in the middle of the grits. Very tasty and everything was served at the right temperature. We had no room for dessert....we couldn't finish our dinners. The dessert menu and the desserts brought out looked scrumptious though, so we would definitely go for it! Luke was an amazing server....he gave us his suggestions when we asked, something that I totally appreciate, because not only do they know what has been going out, but with many of the servers we know, they will tell us exactly what they enjoy....and the majority of the time (barring actual fish speaking for me as I don't care for it) they are right on! On my very first night ever in St. Michaels, MD, I had two requirements for dinner…read more 1. I wanted a waterfront view. 2. I wanted shrimp salad. After a little searching, Foxy's Harbor Grille kept popping up as one of the top recommendations. Their website mentioned joining the waitlist online before arriving, and knowing it was the start of Fourth of July weekend, I figured a little planning couldn't hurt. I hopped on the waitlist before leaving my hotel and headed toward the harbor. I arrived a little before 5:00pm on Thursday afternoon in the middle of an absolutely brutal heat wave. Temperatures were over 100 degrees, and apparently everyone else in town had the good sense not to request outdoor seating. When the hostess couldn't find my name on the online waitlist, it didn't really matter because the covered deck overlooking the marina was completely empty. One request for an outside table later, and I was seated immediately with one heck of a view! My server was fantastic from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive and made sure I had everything I needed without ever making me feel rushed. For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Roll ($21.00) with a side of black bean salad and a Diet Coke ($3.75). It turned out to be exactly the kind of meal I wanted after spending the day in triple-digit temperatures. The shrimp salad was outstanding! Big chunks of shrimp, perfectly dressed and seasoned without being drowning-in-mayo soupy. Just fresh, flavorful and incredibly satisfying. The portion was generous enough that I happily boxed up half to enjoy the next day. The black bean salad deserves its own little shout-out, too. Black beans, corn, peppers, cilantro and what tasted like a light, fresh vinaigrette made it the perfect companion to the chilled shrimp salad on such a hot evening. But...let's be honest. I had already spotted the Sky High Peanut Butter Pie ($12.00) while stalking the menu before dinner arrived. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, there was absolutely no chance I was leaving Foxy's without ordering it! A few minutes later, my server returned carrying what can only be described as a monument to peanut butter. This slice stood at least three inches tall, topped with whipped cream and packed with chopped peanut butter cups throughout a rich, dense peanut butter filling. It was glorious! It was excessive! It was everything I hoped it would be! And yes...I ate the whole thing. Even I was a little impressed with myself! The view from the covered deck overlooking the marina made the entire experience even better. Sitting there watching boats come and go while enjoying dinner felt like the perfect introduction to St. Michaels. Foxy's has exactly the kind of laid-back, waterfront atmosphere you hope to find when visiting a Chesapeake Bay town. One thing I also appreciated was how welcoming the restaurant felt for everyone. During my visit I saw solo diners like myself, couples, families with kids and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. Their menu is incredibly diverse, too, so just about everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy. My total came to just $40.24 before tip for dinner, dessert and a drink, which I found to be very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the waterfront location and the generous portions. If I had one piece of advice, it would be to eat a little earlier if you can, especially during holiday weekends. I have a feeling this place fills up quickly once the evening rolls around. Highly recommend Foxy's Harbor Grille if you're visiting St. Michaels! Great food, great service, beautiful waterfront views and one seriously unforgettable slice of peanut butter pie. I'll absolutely be back!
