    Mozzarella Sticks and Smokey Marinara
    Jazlyn R.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick snack. We shared a Detroit style pizza and some mozzarella sticks. At first the service wasn't great but I can attribute that to staff turnover over time and them being very busy at the time. By the time we were ready to order they were happy to serve us. They also offered some local THC products life prerolls and brownies. The food pictured Feb my husband and I for two meals; great portions! During the time we were there, children were filtering in and out from the upstairs area. We learned that they were performing a school of rock showcase! How cool. They were upstairs so we could just barely hear but overheard some students p jamming out! We highly recommend this sports bar

We were looking to try Gold Tooth Tony's and I guess they partnered with Rudyard's to serve it at their bar? Fairly confusing at first when we were looking for where to go. Anyways, this is a dive bar located on Waugh next to Al's Quick Stop. Parking was available in a small lot across the street. The bar itself was definitely fairly dated; you ordered at the bar and staff brought food to you. They had a bar menu and a pizza menu; we got a steak finger basket and two Detroit style pizzas. The steak fingers were alright... not much meat, a lot of breading. The waffle fries were crispy. The gravy wasn't great, super buttery. The Detroit style pizzas were alright. The crust was nice and thick; but there were either too little or too much toppings. When there were too much toppings, the crust got soggy from the juice. Wasn't too impressed with what we ordered but might have to try the other items on their menu in the future.

We love Rudyard's. We have since we moved back 7 years ago. Even through COVID grabbing take out. The Detroit pizza is the best pizza in Houston. I will miss the Compote. Gay Filet Chicken sandwich is fantastic. Very crispy. Atmosphere is vintage bar with darts and live events upstairs. Need something, go to the bar. Never change.

Great tap list! It's a shame Jessa the bartender has a huge attitude problem. I was looking forward to having a nice spot with good cold drinks but this woman is beyond abrasive. At 5:59 we tried to get one last beer in for happy hour and as the clock turned 6:00 we asked if happy hour prices are still valid and she scowled as she said "NOPE!" I would have bought another round or two had we not been treated like sh!t. Plenty of other options in the neighborhood. Sorry to have inconvenienced you by showing up, Jessa! Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the beer selection *is* legit. Maybe Jessa should go to the vending machine and get some gummies to mellow out a bit.

Can i just say YUM Parking is across the street - so no issue there. And you grab a menu and order at the bar. They will bring out your food, so order and snag a table. We loved the Detroit pizza - gooey cheesy yummy goodness. Just order it. Tried the Old Fashioned and some No Label beers. Loved it all. Can't wait to go back.

I've been here several times over the years. The tater tots are a classic. Food is decent for bar food. I like the low-key atmosphere. You can play darts or shuffle board with friends and there are a lot of interesting events upstairs. Would recommend!

Man, I hate to be writing this review because I thought this place was pretty cool. I went here for a comedy show a few weeks ago and hate a great time. Today I ordered their Gay-Fil-A because I love a good chicken sandwich and I love supporting businesses that support the lgbtq community in some way. I'd heard great things about it so I thought I'd finally try it. So I ordered it from Uber Eats. The food arrives on time, I open it up because I'm super excited to try this sandwich. When I tell you I was stunned at what when in the box omfg. Not only did I receive a partially incorrect order but my sandwich was not even WARM, it was BURNT, the bread was SOGGY, and it looked like somebody SAT ON IT. It looked so gross that I didn't even take a bite and lost my appetite. To claim to make a sandwich that competes with Chick-Fil-A without the "homophobia" and then to send out something that disgusting to a customer trying to support your business is just down right disrespectful. Turns out your Gay-Fil-A is not something you all care about at all. Thankfully I got a refund from Uber Eats. I will definitely not be giving you all my business ever again

The food wasn't all that, the Margherita pizza lacked flavor and no fresh basil. The Detroit style pizza was ok, lacked flavor as well. The server was blah and didn't show any enthusiasm when greeting patrons. The ambiance was that of a cheers bar scene. Nothing special

anniversary.this year. Rudyard's hosts special event. The service is prompt and friendly. The crowd diverse and welcoming. It is a community. Wide selection of beers you will not available anywhere elsewhere. Craft cocktails Rudz is also a Gastropub with great food . Always great vegan options.an eclectic menu that changes the a of monthly. If you're not a drinker the food is worth the trip. I had pasta primavera which was as good as any I have ever had to include Rome. And Bensonhurst. Served with a garlic and olive oil sauce which was flavorful. It was also vegan. The chicken and dumplings come in broth to preserve constancy. It is also a great venue. Do not pass up this Montrose legend

We went to Rudyard's a few weeks back because of the Game of Thrones watch party advertised online. It's a super chill vibe and quite possibly the best little pub I've been to in Houston. Not a fancy place, but I can promise you won't be disappointed by the food. Food and drink orders are taken at the bar; servers will bring your food to the table once it's ready. We tried the garlic hot dog and two different pizzas. Both pizza styles they serve are delicious but the Detroit style is WOW! Highly recommend the traditional-ish and Gains Bro pizzas. Looking forward to our next visit

We particularly love the cheese curds, potato skins and loaded baked potato soup, but the shepherds pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fall off the bone lamb shank are just as good. The true surprise is the pizza - by far the best in Houston! They recently brought in darts and pool tables, and regularly host trivia and karaoke! The location at Kirkwood Rd and Westheimer Rd is over 20 years. It goes to show that when Houston "updates" a business, they spare no expense. The shopping center is 30 years old but updated every 5 years. Other main tenant is SPEC's Liquor and Wine Retail store just 100 feet away. The rehab team did a great job. The place was getting a bit seedy -- but now the floor plan is opened up and MORE LARGE SCREEN TV's THAN A BUFFALO WINGS store. And even with the rehab the owners have kept prices in "reason". One thing I like is TWO HAPPY HOURS -- great idea in Houston where thousands of us work shifts in Oil & Gas, Medical / Hospitals and Space Center JSC. The first Happy is 5-7p and the 2nd is 9p to ?? Closing. Kitch is also great food and open until 9 or so. We know Westheimer is the real MAIN ST of Houston and Bull has a lot of competion but they don't forget customer service and good food there. We got there at 7:05 and didn't get our food until 8:25. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely. The steak was tender and juicy. The lamb chop was charred perfectly. And surprisingly enough, the sausage was my favorite. It was JUICY. When you bite into it, the juices literally burst out.
