Loved the saloon, hated the parking. This saloon does have a rather large parking lot but it's all valet. You must be familiar with this part of Houston to know exactly where to park for free. Me and my friends did but I just wanted to prepare you in case you aren't. Once you get past the parking. The saloon itself it pretty dope!! As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted with cheerful staff. The interior looked to be wooden all around. The walls, tables, chairs, bar, literally everything was made of wood! But it was the light colored wood and it looked sooo cool as the neon EDM lights reflected off of it! The serve hookah here in about 7 different flavors! I recommend mint and apple!! It hits!! The waitresses wear the latest savage x fenty garments!! Love it because that brand is black owned!!! Everybody looked great tho!! Dj was up top and had the saloon going wild!! Visited this place during the most recent hurricane (we were without power so tried this one night). This is definitely not for everyone, I can't describe the vibe of the inside but it's not what we expected from the outside decor. The music was rap the whole time we were there, a variety of music would be nice. First thing is our waitress was very nice and attentive. She never bothered us too much, but always around if needed her. Food: Everything we had was what we expected from a bar serving food. The wings, quesadillas, and mozzarella sticks were good. We enjoyed all our food, wasn't the best meal in the world but hit the spot for a reasonable price. Used to be my go to spot before new owners taken over because it was one of the only " chill" sit down bars pretty much on Washington avenue. Now new owners have taken over and to park in their parking lot is ridiculous minimum $40 bucks depending on the night. Which previously parking was free everyday even weekends . They also didn't use to charge an entrance fee which now they do. It's turned into more of a " standard " vibe like the other bars on Washington. More of a club/bar definitely not a sit down and enjoy your drink vibes. Maybe I'll try it out in the future it's just annoying how just to get in your charged for everything. Also they changed the menu a lot and their burgers and wings were my favorite and I don't think they serve that anymore. read more

Went here with some people. I actually like this place a lot as a pregame spot and the food is pretty good. Had too many drinks and asked to leave my car there so my buddy could drive. They said it was fine, then they charged $20 to park in the lot without any notice or consent to pay that to my card. (With proof) It is really unfortunate to be writing this review but it has to be said so that I can warn every customer that plans on visiting. The BARTENDERS ARE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS and seem to be broke as well. On November 24th, I visited Fuegos with a friend, we were on Washington street and had a couple drinks in us already. I had been keeping the tab on my card for my friend and I and because so I was taking pictures of my receipts so we could split the bill later on. As you can see in the first image my bill came out to $64.12, I added a $2 tip so my total over all was $66.12. In the second image I even got an email confirming that my total was $64 at fuegos which I approved. The next day I realized I no longer had my card with me and truthfully I thought it was somewhere at my friend's house since I stayed the night there. The next day I checked my bank and I realized that my $64 was up charged $79$$$$$ HELLO? So I called my bank and explained to them the situation, fortunately I was able to get my money back for that but I couldn't believe a bartender would actually add her own tip onto MY bill? Are these the employees you hired FUEGOS? I wish I could stop here but it doesn't. I still believed that my card was somewhere located at my friend's house, I hadn't had any other unexplainable charges so I didn't think anyone stole it which is why I never ordered a new card. Will stupid me!!!! Because I was ONCE AGAIN charged $65 on Dec 9th at FUEGOS. With proof on December 9th I was working both my jobs, and I live in Katy with no vehicle there was absolutely no way I could have made that charge myself. So now I know where my card is at! In Fuegos wallet. I beg for everyone to not make the same mistake I did and leave without your card, or pay in cash. Maybe the restaurant should accept Apple Pay so that this type of fraudulent behavior doesn't become consistent. I've tried reaching out and I've been left with no response so I can see how much this owner values its customers and its service. Every one of these employees should be double checked through management because how as a human being do you ever feel comfortable swiping a customers cards for your own sakes? Went to Fuego's to watch the OU/TX football game. I really like the set up of Fuego's, but wish some things were better. Fuego's is located in the Washington Corridor so there's a lot in the area, different places to eat and bars and stuff. The set up is pretty nice. There's couches and a tv to the left and an outside bar and tables to the right before you walk in so there's plenty of space to go watch sports with a group of friends. We came to watch the second half of the game and just ordered dos XX, Vodka Sour and a few ciders. Customer service is okay, it's usually not too hard getting the attention of bar tenders or staff. It's getting cooler so I suggest getting here early to watch your game of choice. Inside seats fill up a bit quicker than the outside area so be mindful. I'll be back to Fuego's! read more

Soooooooo...if I could write a review about the food, this place would get 5 VERY red stars. The food was amazing!! Everything from the sweet and spicy fries to the green chili hummus to the maple burger. Also, the beer was cold and the selection as great -- even had a Breckenridge option that made me feel at home. We had an odd experience with the drinks and one came out REALLY awful and the bartender and the server said it was right and then we told them again that it was horrible. Then, finally, they decided the drink was not right and that the bartender started to pour vodka in a tequila drink and stopped mid pour to put the tequila in....what?! Just dump it and remake the bloody thing. Last complaint, our server, Faith I think, was NOT good. She had excuse after excuse after excuse about how busy she was and our food took a million years for her to deliver from the kitchen. We asked her 4 times to get us more pits, FOUR TIMES. I am not pleased at all by her ability to serve. There were not many people there and she should've given our party better attention, there were a lot of us. The manager, or kitchen manager, Vince (i think) was VERY pleasant. He apologized when we asked about getting some service and our food orders figured out and such. I approve of him and his actions. He did what he could to get our party figured out and set on track. Lastly, the decor was pretty neat. I think they could invest in a few more stools, but the bottle light fixtures to the long log community table was really neat. I came here after a long day of work. It was around 7 p.m. and I was just around the area with a friend. Thursday nights are steak night for $16, it came with mashed potatoes with onions and bacon mixed into it and a salad. My friend got a Philly cheese steak with salt french fries. The steak was very dry even though I requested to get this cooked medium. the mashed potatoes were extremely intense with onions. I think the salad was my favorite part. Let us was extremely fresh along with the other veggies and it also had bacon! The Philly cheese steak was not too bad. Unfortunately, was a little on the salty side. french fries tasted like they've been made and have been sitting out, so lukewarm. Flavor was not bad if you add ranch. I got a glass of wine for about $5 which of course you can't go wrong. The bartender did tell me that a server will be assisting us but after 5 or so minutes, I had to order from the bar from being so hungry. I enjoyed my service with the bartenders. They were very sweet, provided recommendations, let me know about the specials, and helped me have a good time! In terms of location, why not? If there's heavy traffic and you are around the area, it's a great place to go. The place is clean, plenty of TVs, atmosphere is nice and everyone is actually very friendly. I think I spoke with two or three different people when I was there and again, so friendly! Fuegos used to hold a spot in my heart was one of my favorite places to go to till last night, When one of the bouncers in grey shirt. Was litterally egging my brother to fight because we were waiting for one of our guess were in the restroom, The bouncer literally said to my brother " I'm not dealing with these phony b**** what's up N*****" and was all up in my brother's face trying to get a reaction out of him we spent $800+ just to get treated like dogs it was barley 2:07 I understand your trying to go home but there way better ways to handle the situation, I've been to Fuego's multiple time & never been treated like that , so embarrassing I brought my family from California. When it came time to tab out here at the end of a game, I asked for my boyfriend's tab from a bartender. Just whoever was manning the bar at the time. When I got the tab back, they had mischarged us by over $100. I immediately recognized the mistake and brought it up to the bartender. She seemed to understand, so as several minutes passed, I assumed they were just refunding the card. Instead, the manager, maybe the owner, came over to me and questioned what we actually ordered. I pointed out which items were ours on the receipt, but he persistently inquired who ordered the other items on the receipt. Good question. I didn't know because it wasn't us. He pointed out that at the table I was at, there were buckets of that same type of beer, which seemingly matched the receipt. And yes, the people we were with at our table had ordered a bucket. But almost every other table in the bar had ordered a bucket. It was a game day. On the other hand, I was hardly drinking. We had our newly adopted dog with us and had to drive that night. To be sure, I went over and asked the people we were with if their tab had been correct. Yes, they had tabbed out with no beers missing. We didn't know the people we were with very well, but if they had tried to sneak beers on our tab, it would have been pretty difficult considering they didn't know our last names. And we hadn't visited the bartender enough for him to know our last name either. In fact, the second time we ordered, the bartender was confused by the last name. I had to repeat it several times. Eventually, the manager/owner asked me to send my boyfriend over to speak to them, which was very off putting for me. It was as if they didn't believe me. And it felt like they didn't think I had the authority to handle this. But when my boyfriend went to talk to them, the manager/owner questioned him adamantly as well. The bartender that had served us, claimed I was the one that ordered the buckets of beer--plus shots. No one at our table was having shots. This was honestly hilarious to me because I was the one that brought up the mischarge in the first place, albeit to a different bartender. The bartender and manager/owner were visibly upset at us, but they did remove the charge in the end. Now, I've been a bartender and a server for many years in the past. I have never questioned a customer when they told me I was wrong. You just don't do that. Especially as a manger or owner. I get that these folks felt like we were ripping them off, but it doesn't matter. Even if we were lying, it's absurd to interrogate your customers. It's your job to be humble--to admit when you've made a mistake. And no matter what, be forgiving, accommodating and professional. It's not easy, but it's just the job. At the end of the day, we were blatantly mischarged and yet basically accused of theft. They've lost a customer, and they've lost my respect. (Just in case the team feels they need to question the validity of this review too, here's the details of everyone we spoke to. The bartender that ran our card was a white female. Came here with some friends for their Migos and Mimosas event, and I had a great time! It's a cool patio bar with a nice vibe. The DJ was on point, and that's the most important part. The bar charged $15 for a bottle of champagne and a carafe of orange juice. I wish they had other types of juice, but we were stuck with orange. I like orange juice, so I didn't mind too much. Just would've liked more variety. The place was packed. On one hand it made the space look very lively and fun. On the other, there was barely any room to move. I like to be active when there's good music and drinks flowing, so it kind of hindered my flow. At the end of the day though, the spot was jumping. It's a patio bar, so we sat outside. The Houston heat didn't want us to make it, but we pushed through and had a good time anyway. I wish they had more fans on the patio to accommodate the huge number of people that were out there. Parking was almost nonexistent. They have a very small lot and it was reserved for valet. There is street parking in he residential areas close by though. Let me start by saying I'm a long time residence of The Heights and have watched a great many bars/restaurants come and go in the Washington corridor. Fuego's was a long time coming, so when it opened my wife and I were one of the first customers. We are both bar food lovers and were eager to see if this new joint would set itself apart from all the other options on the strip. We met the owner, Vince, and he spent some time with us talking through the menu. He is VERY passionate about his food, and it shows. He spends allot of time in the kitchen cooking, then popping out to see if you are satisfied with the food. He told me a story about his search for the perfect bun for the burgers. He liked the Hubcap Grill buns, great choice, but they would not tell him their source. He sat in their parking lot for 6 hours waiting for their delivery, and scored the info he needed. Let's talk about the food: The burgers are one of the best in town. Excellent, high quality meat blend, served on a GREAT BUN. They are cooked perfectly to order, they are not afraid to cook a burger medium rare. The fries are thin cut in house every day. Somehow they hold up well under all the greatness they pile on them. We tried all of them, the Sweet Chili Fries with green chili and queso and the Sweet and Spicy Fries with Thai seasoning were the standouts. I would have liked a protein on the Sweet Chili Fries, chorizo maybe. The Maple and Bacon Fries are stoner heaven, a bit much for me. The wings are the real draw. I'm tough on wings, because they are so simple and so often F'd up or over complicated. These wings are big and fat, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Once again, we have tried them all but a couple really popped. The Thai Chili Wings were sweet with a bite. The Lemon Pepper Wings may put Fuego's on the Foodie map. They don't use the bitter shake that you find everywhere. Cracked pepper with fresh grated lemon rinds set these above all others. The wings are worth coming for. We have not tried the soups, salads, or tacos, but they look good. Some friends tried the Firecracker Shrimp and said they were great. They have enough taps to satisfy most beer snob and hipster type. Vince was proud of the fact that the taps are flushed professionally every month. This was music to my ears after drinking gallons of skunky pints at Luke's and Bubba's. Let's talk about the service. The owner is committed and the bartenders have always been outstanding with us. I see some bad reviews that diss the service. I'm giving them a pass because they are 3 weeks old and are learning the customer flow. They have been swamped on occasion and I think they got in the weeds. I feel they will adjust to accommodate. I have to call out one reviewer, Ashley H. Here we have a Yelper who has generated 17 reviews, 14 or which are 1 or 2, and Coltivare manages a 3. She reviewed Jack in The Box, gave them a 1, and dissed the service. At Fuego's she ordered a 'TASTER' of Agave Wheat Beer, that alone speaks volumes, and she SHARED that taster with 3 of her friends. Kill me! What the F is a 'taster'? If you want to try a beer, order one! What bartender has time to stand around waiting for 4 drunk hipsters to swish wheat beer around their delicate pallets!!!!???? I don't really know Terry the bartender, but he seems competent. If in his option your coven was too hammered to serve, I believe you were. Quit whining, and please stop writing bullshit negative reviews. I invite all to check my previous reviews, I try to tell it like it is, good and bad. I feel the negative reviews for Fuego's are harsh and ill conceived. This bar has everything you could want on a nice day or night. The indoor/outdoor convertible walls make for a comfortable and open, airy atmosphere. The maple bacon wings are such a fun combination of flavors. It combines the syrupy goodness of chicken and waffles with the popular maple and savory bacon pairing found in doughnut shops. We ordered those alongside some traditional buffalo hot wings and the best bites came from mixing the two sauces together! The fries were also seriously good. Topped with cheese and green onions, the food here is far from simple and boring. Went for HH with a few gal pals with whom I used to haunt Luke's across the street. The design is attractive and well-kept with a variety of seating options, clean bathrooms, and a big bar. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and requested them in buffalo wing sauce instead of spicy Thai sauce it's is served with. The kitchen accommodated me with no problem and YUMMY!! I'll be ordering that again. I don't normally give a full 5 stars for anything, but I honestly can't think of a reason to deduct a star?? It was a little loud when I tried to take a phone call, but it's essentially an open-air bar and grill on a busy street with big fans blowing in the brutal Houston heat, so that's my problem and not the establishment's! I live nearby this place, and I've always wanted to stop by after looking it up. Strangely, it always looks like it's closed for maintenance or something. Maximum of 2-3 cars in the parking lot. I rolled in and it does not look like the pictures. It's much more like a club than a bar/restaurant. All that is less important than the experience though. I rolled in, and was the only customer. The server took my order and was nice. She made a point to mention to me that I should not order the quesadillas, because the cheese was bad. No sweat, I'll order queso instead, cause that's not gonna be the same cheese. It's hard to describe how bad it was. It appeared to have cooking grease in it, and somehow tasted burnt. I know, cheese, but burnt? Yes, that's exactly what it tasted like. The bartender was nice enough to take it off the bill after I only had a few chips. My bar tab for 1 seltzer, and 2 tequila shots, was $30. Pretty steep for a place that was a bad experience from before I even entered the parking lot, when I had to call to see if they were even open. How a place like this stays open in a location like this, in Houston, is beyond me, yet here we are. Will definitely not be "checking this place out" again. I went to Fuego's for an event called Migas and Mimosas. I knew what to expect crowd wise... clearly Fuego did not. They were severely understaffed. I ordered my food and drinks, in the beginning the drinks came fast but it appeared that was only one waitress on the floor to cover all 15 tables, and the poor girl can only be in one place at a time. I don't fault our waitress at all for the terrible service, she really tried. I ordered chicken wings in three flavors: Maple bacon, hot, lemon pepper and ordered the hangover burger. My burger came out after 30 minutes and I can say that a McDonalds sawdust and cow part patty tasted better than this burger. It's really not a difficult concept to make a burger, but they served up one of the worst burgers I've ever had in my life. Nothing was seasoned. The beef was low grade so even a natural beef flavor was absent. It was like an air patty on a bun. My wings were delivered to the wrong table, and when I mentioned to our server that they had never come she comped them and went back them to get them remade. Those too were fairly terrible. The trick to chicken wings is to season the chicken first, then season the batter. There. Was. No. Seasoning. On. Anything. NOOOOOOOOO salt or pepper to be found. The lemon pepper wings didn't even taste like lemon pepper, and that's a fairly easy task to accomplish: just shake the lemon pepper seasoning on. My friend had chicken and waffles, bland and dry. Another had another burger, he didn't finish is. The best tasting food element we had were the fries and that's only because there was a rosemary flavoring and we added our own salt and pepper. The bartenders were slow with such a large crowd, but everything was priced very reasonably. My friend had her birthday gathering here. It was packed! We came during Migos and mimosas. So basically everyone was in this one place. The place looks very big , but since on this particular day it was extremely crowded. The music was bumping I throughly enjoyed myself. Sometimes the music would cut off but it was turned back on quickly . I appreciated the fire place in the area we were in. The mimosas were on sale that day so we kept them coming. They came in a craft with a bottles so you can basically make it to your liking. Some negatives other then being overly crowded was ordering from the bar was a war zone. After awhile they started out orange juice in big cups instead of crafts. Parking was horrendous and overly expensive. Came here to watch the Rockets game with some friends. We sat at the patio and ordered some drinks. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the shrimp and my cousin ordered the Houston pizza. I received my food in about 10min and after 20min we still were waiting for the pizza. They said that it will be a little longer so we waited about 15 more minutes and they said that it was never put in the oven. Long story short the manager ended up bringing us a pizza that literally looked like a store bought frozen pizza. I give them three stars because the shrimp was good and although they had horrible communication they weren't rude. read more

This is the OU bar and I went here to watch the OU game. They had happy hour margs but they weren't very strong and kind of watered down. We also got the queso and it was also very thin and watered down.. it was very busy but may try this again on a non game night. read more
