Visiting Colorado for the week, and this is the only bad food I have gotten here so far. Walked in to see about 4 different pizzas with 2 or less slices available. I asked the girl working if these were the only we could pick out of despite their variety on their menu. She said yes so we settled since the reviews for this place are so good. The girl ringing us up didn't know about any of the promotions that were displayed on the chalk board behind her and then continued to go directly from using the register to picking the slice out of the glass case with her bare hands and then taking the money directly after. Our food came out about 35 seconds later still cold, and the Mac and cheese pizza was 2 noodles on top of bread with cheese. My Greek salad was merely canned olives and banana peppers with a pound of feta cheese and a packet of Greek salad dressing on the side... the food tasted dreadful and I am honestly disappointed that I spent even $1 here... unsanitary and the food was old, dry, and bland. The cheese pizza was amazing! 50 minute wait on a Friday night for delivery, not too bad (we expected longer)! The fresh vegetables in the veggie Stromboli- amazing. We've lived in the NYC area and know good pizza...this lives up to the hype! Unfortunately, can't give them 5 stars since the veggie boli was severely undercooked with lots of raw dough. Almost inedible! Would've called to complain, but don't have time to wait for a replacement! Hopefully they can let the chef know how to cook a Stromboli for the next customer! read more

Hellfire slice served cold. Just try it. Prices may seems steep but the quality of pizza is worth it.

This place has gone downhill in recent months. I ordered two pizzas last night, I got home one pizza was cold and the other was completely under cooked. I ended up reheating the cold pizza and finish cooking the second one. I took a video of the undercooked pizza that I won't post, but I would like to show management to make them aware. First things first, I don't want to get anyone in trouble or make people not go there. My hopes are that management sees this and makes changes to do better. When I went in it was 7pm so not to late but the pizzas that were available looks gross. The cashier grabbed my piece with his bare hands. When we got our food my slice was burnt and the garlic knots were cold. I went back in and they added toppings to the already made pizza slice and cooked it for a few minutes but not to my surprise I picked it up and it all fell off. Also the most disturbing was the garlic knots were in the same foil as cinnamon and I didn't order cinnamon knots. an update. A manager helped me and gave me a credit to the store closest to me which was Main Street. I was very pleased with his service. However, I went to the Main Street location and they seemed offended I was even there and said I had to go to the store where the complainant was from NO EXCEPTIONS! I was embarrassed. How is it that I got the worst service ever then get treated like I was begging for free shit! I called the Cheyenne store and he took my number. I support small business but if these guys don't get there service in check, they won't last long. read more

I have never ordered from this place before so I tried to call in an order for a slice and was rudely told he will not take a slice order over the phone and hung up on me. I then placed the order online and went to pick it up and again was rudely told my slice was waiting for 10 minutes and if I don't have one minute to spare to wait for him to heat it up then I am planning my lunch hour wrong. I'm typically not a fan of pizza, I've always hated the typical generic pizza from your local Pizza Hut/Dominos/ Papa John... you get the idea. Ruffrano's completely changed my perception on pizza. We ordered three large 18" pizzas: Pepperoni, Mac & Cheese, and BBQ Chicken Pizza. It took them about 30 minutes to make, which under normal circumstances would cause a riot, but we saw the pizzas being made fresh so the wait was worth it. The massive 18" pizzas came out, and each slice were proportionately massive. Pepperoni was good -- better than your local pizza chain. Mac and Cheese was just okay, a little too cheesy for my tastes, which one should expect from a Mac & Cheese pizza. The BBQ chicken was my favorite, would drive back to Colorado Springs just to eat it again. I think what really sets Ruffrano's apart from other pizzas is that the pizza crust was thinner compared to a generic pizza, but not quite crunchy like a thin crust from Dominos, which I really appreciated. If you come to Ruffrano's, come hungry. A group of seven guys could not finish the three pizzas. read more

I did not appreciate employees making fun of my food order. I felt belittled. If i could have cancelled it i would have. Maybe people in this business don't understand food allergies? This was my go to place for pizza in Colorado Springs. When I go eat at the restaurant the pizza is really good. But every time I order takeout it is a totally different experience. The pizza taste old overcooked, stale and seems like it's lacking cheese and sauce. Last time I ordered takeout I had to return it for another pie only to have a very similarly bad pizza pie except this time it came with a long hair in it. Disgusting and totally turned me off. I had picked up our order tonight around 7:30, I called in the order originally over the phone what I asked for was not given to me correctly. Not only was my food not ready when I got there at the expected time I was told to come. But as I was waiting for our food to be ready the younger guy dropped an entire pizza from the pizza slice case... and didn't pick it up the whole time I sat there waiting patiently. Which really bothered me, sanitary wise. He then asked me what the slices were that I ordered. He was the same guy I ordered with over the phone..... so I'm not sure if he ever wrote it down? But I originally asked for the 2 slice he'll deal. One four cheese white sauce slice with bacon and artichoke hearts and the other a plain pepperoni slice. I'm not sure if he had to remake a pizza or not to get my slices together since he dropped the one but the order he gave me was wrong, it was two pepperoni slices thrown together sloppy with bacon and artichoke. I didn't get my free fountain Drink which comes with the hell deals written on their board in the front.... By the time everything was put together I felt pretty uneasy about eating my food, and honestly I wish I would have just walked out. I didn't see a new pizza made.... I saw one on the ground the whole time I was there not picked up..... my order was wrong..... I didn't get my free drink with my two slices.... Everything about this didn't sit well with me that I came home explained to my husband what happened. My husband was super upset as this was a regular spot for us for the last 6 years but my husband doesn't even want to eat the food we got tonight or go here again due to the experience..... I paid $34 to just toss the food I didn't ask for and that I'm not confident was done sanitary.... Very disappointing, I wouldn't recommend going here. My daughter and I went in after shopping. When we walked in the pizza maker was asking if he could help us. I looked up at the menu as we had never been in. Instantly he told us to get a paper menu and it was probably a good idea to just get some pizza already made as it was going to be 30 mins. We had time and wanted it made fresh. Then he proceded to complain that he was very busy with orders and then at that point I stopped listening. While processing all this information, a lady walked in and rolled her eyes as she had heard what he was saying to me. This lady saved me from walking out. She said, ok, what would you like to order? I assure you he is a great pizza maker. I ordered a pizza and drinks and then we sat down. It only took 20 mins and he had our pizza at the table. The pizza was amazing! While we were finishing, we were approched by the lady and she gave us some desert for free, it was something rapped in chocolate from the fridge. It looked great, but as i bit into it, I realized why it was free. It tasted like it was in the fridge for awhile absorbing other ingredients and it was awful. The place was suprisingly comfortable with ample amout of seating. I will go back, however I will order to go next time and wait outside so I do not hear the pizza maker complain to everyone about how busy he is. read more

NY style pizza in Colorado Springs... thank you! This is the best NY style I've found around town. It contains the basic properties of a good Neapolitan pie. Thin hand stretched dough, a little chew to the crust and just the right ratio of sauce and cheese. We ordered plain cheese, so I need to get back and check out the quality of the toppings... but I have hope. If not, plain cheese always hits the spot. Maybe we will try the Sicilian one day (I appreciate that they have it), but I'm a thin crust fan. We even had it delivered (which I never do) and it showed up hot, fresh and in about 35 minutes. Guys making the pizzas were amusing to listen to and the music was metal so that's a plus. Slices are generous but went for a calzone because I hadn't had one in awhile. Unless you are on a date, or in for a slice, I'd order ahead. Wait time is reasonable for a fresh calzone, I'm just impatient. The kitchen and oven are open which is cool- you can tell they aren't spitting in your food- always a plus! There's a discount for online ordering; good way to keep labor costs down, bad for college kids looking for a part time job... We ordered delivery to a hotel. It took less than 45 minutes and was amazing. Our driver was very professional and kind. The wings were the best I've ever had! No lie.
