I ordered some custom cut Durahold rug pads from Kapisa and did not realize the sizing is normally reduced by an inch in circumference. It was in the description that I didn't fully read. I entered his support chat early Saturday evening and was surprised to get a response within about 15 minutes. I was speaking to the person that cut them, the owner, though I didn't know that until later. Shams Frough, an Afghani expat and now US citizen, explained the process and offered to recut and ship a new piece just for the cost of shipping, even though it was my mistake. We had a long chat and worked out a deal where I would get a new larger piece and a replacement for a second that was not perfect due to manufacturing flaws...at a steep discount. It's remarkable and exceptional to get such personal customer service. I encourage everyone to take a look at his rugs and especially to read his bio on the store website. Shams is someone I trust and plan to purchase an area rug for my home within the next year and know that I'm getting a fair price for a fine wool rug. read more

Kapisa Rugs in Evanston has high quality rugs and wonderful customer service! I bought a large rug, and Shams, the owner, asked if I would like for him to come over and move the rug from my car to the dining room. Who does that? I had been worried about having to do it myself.
