A beautiful old pinion pine -- damaged in a recent wind storm, died recently, and was much too close to APS power lines -- and a creaky old eucalyptus tree which had grown over a carport and equipment shed, had to be removed before either or both took out either power lines or structures -- or both. In no time at all, all that remained was about 1 1/2 cubic yards of chipping and a few tons of cut logs, neatly stacked for pickup. What also impressed me was their efficiency... no wasted effort. No one standing around, propping up a shovel or rake. No oil stains on the driveway; no damage to buildings; no damage to other trees or vegetation; excellent cleanup. Very reasonable price! I'm no stranger to having trees thinned out or removed -- probably 17 in the past 30-something years -- and I've seen the best and the worst of these companies, including one that took out a street light and a neighbor's car with the same tree. At 2-3x the price, I've had weeks of cleanup that a professional company should have done as service included in the price... companies with 5-star ratings done by people with only one review to their credit (follow what I'm saying?). Sonoran installed a small mesquite in my yard in January or February 2023. Can't find exact date…read more Sept. 15, 2023 I texted pictures of the trunk with 2 ozzing wounds. Sonoran's response was "probably a "Sun burn" or "bite" and he would look at it in the winter. He was a no show. This past summer, July 2024, I texted pictures again and stated the ozzing wound had spread up the trunk. Sonoran examined the tree and blew me off when I told him I would like a replacement. "They don't have any more trees." The tree was over $300. I didn't get what I paid for. They are expensive but do not stand behind their product.

Despite the text message below not stating that bracing was included in the cost of re-planting, Miguel stated that the saguaro was healthy, had good roots and would be fine without bracing. He deducted $50 off the quoted price because he was not going to brace it. When I asked Miguel about covering the cactus to prevent further sun damage he told me it was not included. I trusted Miguel and paid the $450. As you can see in the attached photos, the cactus broke near where the saguaro was strapped to the wench / lift. It appears to me that the stress from being strapped combined with the saguaro not being braced caused the break. I contacted the company as soon as I saw that the cactus had broken and fallen. I was advised by the woman who answered the phone that she was referencing the text message agreement and they followed the agreement. I told her that they did not follow the agreement because the cactus wasn't covered and that Miguel had deducted $50 for not bracing it. She told me that she did not know about the deduction and stated that Miguel would call me back. After not hearing from Miguel for a week, I called again. The woman and I had the same conversation and she again stated that Miguel would call me. Weeks have passed without response from Miguel. I'm disappointed in the follow through of this company. My observation is that they will respond quickly to new work, but they lack integrity when things go wrong. I apologize to anyone who used them at my recommendation.
