    Crab dip
    Fred G.

I will have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at our dining experience @ Rum Point Crab House. While visiting Harrahs on a prior date we pondered the menu and decided that on the next trip to give it a try. This is actually a late review but better later then never right ? Our first trip here on August 26th was absolutely amazing as we dined on unlimited snow crabs ... pretty good I will say .. but the biscuits... shesshhhh I wanted more and more .. the soup was amazing as well .. corn was steamed just right and the fries were not over cooked .. not bad price per person either for the feast. Our server Idalys was absolutely an amazing gem! She is very courteous, professional and made sure that we wanted for nothing as she even suggested options during our dining experience in ordering . The rum punch was delicious and best when you order it by the pitcher than the glass , if you're drinking for two or more. Trust me .. while I don't promote alcohol..: for those of us who enjoy .. it's worth it. Our second order of crabs came out at fresh as the first and we were pretty much full at this point I had forgot that we had the crab dip too for an appetizer, which was delicious . We continued to enjoy , laugh .. soaked up the tunes inside and continued to be checked on by our server Idalys. As the night came to a closing we asked to speak to a Manager and assured our server that it was all positive even though she thought something was wrong. We were promptly greeted by the Manger CeCe who was just as professional and amazing. We informed her and thanked her for an amazing dining experience and could not have asked for a better server letting her know how much of an asset we think Idalys is to Rum Point. She was very pleased and thanked us for asking to speak to her. Sooooo fast forward to August 29th on a return get away a few days later but of course we return for dinner and had the same great experience and service provided the first time if not better. And what do you know .. that's right , we requested seating for our now favorite server as she was so happy to see us return. I or we do not work for or are getting any paid incentive for this restaurant I assure you. I'm a happy Yelper and so enjoy a great dining experience that I wanted to share with you. Thanks again Rum Point and to all the staff as well. Can't wait to return again! I highly suggest you make reservations ahead of time as they fill up quickly as I see why.

    Onion ring stack salad

Service was excellent. Personable and knowledgeable of the menu. I enjoyed the onion ring stack salad. It was about 8 onions rings over an arugula bed. Fried flounder and shrimp were also expertly fried, lightly seasoned and breaded. Nice size fish and shrimp. The reason for the four star: 8.50 for one ear of corn is too expensive; even if it is casino pricing. The crab legs seemed boiled instead of steamed because the crab legs were water logged.

Overall customer service was good. I've seen better and or higher level of friendliness from staff. My server that happened to be a bartender did excellent but the hostess did not. The funny thing is, the restaurant had just open for dinner. On another note, Food was great. Overall cleanliness and or presentation of restaurant was outstanding.

Went there for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Reviews online were not favorable but left an open mind and I'm glad I did. We had Selena. She was fabulous and made it a great experience. Food was phenomenal. Had a couple Dungeness Crab pots with some potatoes and the old bay biscuits. Great service great food and can't wait to get back again!!

Is this restaurant closed for the season? Looking to come end of March. Thanks!

They have been closed but are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5p-10p. I would still give them a call and check ... Happy yelping .

We have been to it plenty of times in our over 30 years of visiting AC and we have never been disappointed. The ambiance is cosy with nautical themed items decorating the walls. They have limited seating in the small establishment, with the best option being sitting at the counter at the window to people watch while enjoying your seafood items. We are always greeted by pleasant staff. They have daily specials and feature a seafood case filled with a variety of fresh seafood items that you can literally pick and they will prepare in store or you can choose to purchase to go. Our go to is the flounder and fish platter, which comes with house made slaw and fries, and either a side of fried clams or oysters. The platter also comes with a canned soda, which you get to pick the flavor choice from the beverage case. We always enjoy our food in store and are always luck enough to grab a few seats. The flounder and shrimp platter was fresh and crispy, with a light coating that did not take away from the delicate taste of the fish and shrimp. The slaw was fresh and an ok side. The fries were crispy and nothing was greasy. The oysters were fried well and when bitten, popped with a nice, fresh taste. And don't worry my MD folks, they have Old Bay to dust your food (which I really appreciate!). We suggest coming as soon as they open or call your order in ahead of time to avoid the long line that forms. All in all, our go to seafood spot when visiting AC.

I opted for outdoor seating on a perfect late evening, and it set the tone beautifully. There's something special about this spot - it sits away from the boardwalk's noise and chaos, offering a much more relaxed, genuine dining experience. I tend to gravitate toward the same order here, and for good reason. The crab cakes are outstanding - generous with the crab meat, full of flavor, and absolutely worth the price. I paired them with a Caesar salad, a solid combination. I also ordered the fried shrimp platter - the batter was spot-on, the portion was generous enough that we couldn't finish it, and, impressively, it held up well into the next morning. That's always a good sign. Don't skip the jar drinks. I went with the cucumber basil, and it was wonderfully refreshing - the kind of drink that just fits the vibe of the place perfectly. The service was prompt and on point. If you're in Atlantic City and looking for a break from the loud, touristy strip, Back Bay Ale House is where you want to be. One of my absolute favorites in AC - I'll keep coming back.

We both ordered the steak specials. One with cucumber salad the other with cole slaw. Although the steak was cooked to temperature it was not of good quality. It was hard to cut because there was so much marbled fat between the meat. Only the one steak was fatty the other was fine. The sides left little to be desired. The cucumber salad was soggy and had a bitter taste. The cole slaw had a sour taste and was inedible. Based on the other reviews, I guess this was just an off night. I just thought management would like to know about our experience. Reading the positive reviews was the reason we decided to dine here.

We finally tried the Borgata Buffet and honestly I do not understand some of the bad reviews…read more Yes it is a casino buffet so the price is higher at around 43 per person, but there are definitely ways to get it comped or discounted, and for the quality you are getting it actually feels worth it. The variety is great and everything we tried tasted fresh and well made. Nothing felt like it had been sitting too long and the staff was constantly maintaining the stations. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. The staff working the buffet line were also all really nice and genuinely seemed happy to be there which makes such a difference. Food wise there were a lot of standouts. The chargrilled steak had a really nice flavor and the prime rib was super tender and juicy. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the sauces were light, bright, and flavorful instead of heavy. The mac and cheese is an absolute must. They use big shell noodles with a creamy cheese sauce and toasted breadcrumbs on top which gives it great texture. The collard greens were surprisingly one of our favorite things and we went back for seconds. So much flavor. The spiced shrimp is a hidden gem and definitely something we grabbed multiple times. The pizza was also surprisingly good. We tried the mushroom and spinach and it honestly tasted like something you would get from a really solid pizza spot not a buffet. The only thing I would say is the chicken parm is hit or miss depending on how fresh it is. If it has been sitting it can get a little soggy so I would try to grab it when a fresh tray comes out. Pro tip leave room for dessert. The dessert section is incredible. The gelato was rich and creamy especially the chocolate. The croissant cinnamon roll hybrid was flaky on the outside with a soft gooey center and the cookies and cream cheesecake was rich without being too heavy. I also really liked how the seating is set up. You can sit on either side of the buffet and choose between booths or tables which makes it feel a little less chaotic. This is definitely a spot we will keep coming back to when we are at Borgata.

The carving station had a salmon larger than I've ever seen too. Also appreciate that they offer a spiced version of the cocktail shrimp. Huge compliments on all of the sauces they offer to go along with your food (steak sauce, au jus, melted butter, etc.).
