Not as good as I remember and definitely not the happy vibe it had before. Tacos shrinkage was evident too. They are really small.

I couldn't wait to try out this spot on our day trip to Galveston. We went for a late lunch around 2:30 on one of the first 'in season' Saturdays. There were 2-3 parking spots in front of the restaurant but ample street parking near by. The place is very cute but with how good everything was they deserve a bigger place! We waited in a line at 2:30 pm to order. We definitely missed out- they have an epic happy hour from 2-6 that everyone else was partaking in but with the chaos and crowd of the line we didn't pick up that menu. I'm hoping they pick up more staff as the summer goes on as the poor cashier was also bussing tables. Even so, everyone was friendly and trying their best. I got the prickly pear add tequila which was delicious! To eat, we got the curly fries, Korean taco, Baja taco, and the dirty South taco. Everything was delicious and fresh.

I came for the happy hour because the prices looked too good!!! The drink was ONLY 1 DOLLAR! The taco was around 4 and sides were a similar price. This was a good amount of food! The service was pretty good and quick for the amount of people that we came in with! The vibe of this restaurant is so cute and beachy! I would def come again if i'm in the area!

Everything was delicious! Definitely go here if you're in Galveston! Go! Yummy! I don't know why you need 85 characters this kind of stupid !

Any time I'm in Galveston I make sure to make a stop at Fish Taco Co. They are located a couple of blocks from the seawall and can usually find nearby parking. They are a cute cafe size spot with some outdoor dog friendly seating and a few tables and bar seating inside. You order at the register and get a number and find a seat. They offer happy hour daily so make sure to check them out. Their agua frescas are really good and refreshing. They offer several flavor and taco options that would sure to please the group. You gotta try the Baja fish tacos fried/grilled. It's probably one of my favorites along with the Captain Johnnys fried shrimp taco that comes with curly fries!

July 8, 2025 1209pm Came in to place a to go order. Waited at bar and was bothered by flies...i wasn't going to mention but then I noticed the dead ones on the floor. Cmon...get a water bag to hang over entrance to front door like they do in Cancun....or a fly zapper, or fly sticky paper something. Ordered a frose while waiting , delish Ordered 1 each of every taco they have, which is 6. I loved all of them except the dirty south. I like pimento cheese but, didn't like theirs enough. I had a few tacos with fish and a few with shrimp. This restaurant has changed hands in ownership but thankfully, its consistently tasty and fresh.

Their happy hour is the time to go! The prices are super cheap with $1 frescas (we got the cactus flower and mango tango) and $6 oysters. Always tastes good and fresh. The seasoning on their cooked oysters is delicious. They have hot sauce in a bottle on the table that I always add. It's a cute place in Galveston to take family and the service is friendly!

Cute hole in the wall taco shop. A bit warm inside but bring by the water it doesn't bother me at all. Happy Hour from 2-6pm. Two mocktail drinks: mango tango & pineapple verde. Would make excellent cocktails. Pineapple Verde is nice and spicy. Yum! Hubs loves mango so his drink hits the spot. Happy hour oysters: tasty, horseradish was hot! Yum. The temperature of the oysters was a little sus...not cold even though on ice. Praying that isn't a problem later. Dirty south: liked the pimento cheese and I'm not a huge fan of it. It tasted good on the taco. Shrimp batter was nice not too thick like another person mentioned. Empire taco with shrimp was my husbands favorite. Baja with shrimp or fish are very good. Light and tasty. The tortilla did not hold up on this one though. Need to double it up or make thicker. The white tortillas were fine. Onion rings were lightly battered and crispy but way too oily for me. Happy Hour Vietnamese wings were tasty but messy. I put two napkins on as a bib and still got 2 dots of sauce on my white shirt. Sigh. Overall a unique late lunch. Food made to order so it took a bit. Everyone was pleasant so customer service was fine but not exemplary.

While at the Lone Star motorcycle rally, we walked around the corner from the main drag and found the quiet, cozy delicious Fish Taco Company. We were iterally just steps off the beaten path but transpoted worlds away by the flavors.

Fish company taco was a hole in the wall restaurant that was delicious! They have such creative tacos. I was lucky to come in during happy hour and tacos were $4, oysters were greatly priced, and Frescas are a $1. I had the Korean taco, the Vietnamese taco, and Baja taco and they were all delicious! I also tried the Hot Blooded Oysters which reminded me of New Orleans style char broiled oysters and it was such a deal. Lastly, the pineapple Fresca I got was great and refreshing! If I were to ever come to Galveston again, I would definitely stop by again!

Fish taco used to be one of my favorite restaurants on the island. The restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday and features a fresh catch of the day in the tacos until they run out for the day. There are several ways you can have your taco done- Vietnamese style, Korean style, Hunan style, etc. I had stopped going for a while because their tacos kept shrinking in size, however, while that has not really changed, I recently revisited and was still blown away by their taco flavors and the freshness of the fish. They also did a complete renovation of their interior space which now offers a clean and ecelectic dining experience. You really can't go wrong with any taco that you choose here. The viet style is my personal favorite. The freshness of the seafood cannot be beat, although some pieces of fish could use a tad bit more seasoning. While I probably won't be visiting as much due to the steepness of prices, I think the food really does live up to the price tag. The owners and cashiers are all really nice about explaining the menu if you do have any questions!

    Fresh oysters.

This place is a hidden gem off the beaten path but well worth it. It has a small quaint dining area and the staff is super nice and very helpful on the menu items for our first visit. We went during happy hour and took advantage of the fresh raw oysters for $1 each. Ample size oysters that are fresh and only $1!! We also had 2 fish tacos and 1 shrimp taco that were fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are fantastic and food is excellent

Super cool cozy beach surf vibe a block from the beach with a small but fantastic taco menu, every ingredient made from scratch. Crazy fresh fish and shrimp and great drinks. Happy hour is a phenomenal bargain. The Vietnamese Taco is awesome, the Baja fish is legit, Dirty South and Captain Johnny are killer. Home made hot sauce, amazing salsa verde. Hand made Margaritas, and killer Frescas where you add the Booze of your choice are perfect. 5 tacos, two sides, a margarita and a Cactus Flower vodka Fresca for $40 with 20% tip! We will be back! (Probably tomorrow!)

Servers are friendly but a bit slow in service. Good prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Fish was a bit overdone and needed a little seasoning.
