You walk up and see outdoor seating & cute lil plants which pull on my heart strings. Entrance is pretty hip. Open door and it's surprisingly small but the vibe it gives off is super rad. You walk up to register and you can see chef cooking food as you order. Super clean in lobby and kitchen. Love the hip wall paintings and they have sports on t.v. We ordered the guacamole and it was served in cocktail glass with chips and pork skins. I'm picky about my guacamole because at most places you can taste the preservatives. NOT HERE!!!! THEY MAKE IT FRESH & it shows So we ordered 2 sets of street tacos and chicken quesadillas. Cardi Asada & chicken were off the chain, pastor was a tad bit salty but I'm sensitive to salt. Everything was awesome. They even had a good selection of of drinks. Lastly the staff was awesome. Super helpful, inviting & helpful. Even bumped into the chef at the local grocery store later that day and treated us like hometown regulars. We will definitely visit again soon. Nothing but good things to say about this place .

The tacos with Birria were great and the staff was lovely to our group :) the portion was good enough for me, but I could see it being not fulfilling if you are super hungry. i'll have to come back and try different tacos next time.

We've eaten here a few times and in general, the quesadillas are the way to go. The street tacos are hit or miss. The shrimp cocktail is good, but today's chips in the guacamole and the nacho's tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Inedible. Tip: You can order food at Mr Taco and eat it inside Union House bar next door, have a margarita, and stay warm I. winter or cool in summer. read more

A small place with 4 tables. Walk up counter to order. Bottled drinks available. We ordered the taco plate, Al pastor, comes with 4 street tacos and charro beans $10.99. They do not sell the tacos Al a carte unfortunately. Also ordered the chile con queso with chips, $8.99. The beans were very good. The tacos were decent. The queso was a huge disappointment, straight up thick nacho cheese sauce out of a can with some tomatoes, onions and peppers thrown in. Really good spot to go when near the old square! Inside is fairly small, maybe about 4-5 tables that could fit parties of 3-4 each (might be squished though). The worker is not a native English speaker but she knows enough about the menu, just double check any orders before paying. The food was so delicious! We got the Birria tacos and Pastor tacos. She did not hold back on packing the tacos with meat and garnishes. The flavors were phenomenal, and the price was worth it. I would definitely come again! read more

Well, I typically do not write about places I really did not love as much as I expected since I was mislead. I called this place before we arrived and the person who answered said they would have a live DJ and they were open until 1am. Once we arrived, this place had a speaker outside playing music with two tables and chairs. I know we should have turned around at that point, but I hoped that the food would outweigh the time we drove to get there. We ordered the nachos, birria tacos, shrimp tacos, and elote. The nachos were smothered as they should be and were not bad at all. The elote was an elote and the birria tacos were okay. The shrimp tacos were doable but I wouldn't order them again. As we were finishing our meal in a very small place, a couple came inside and wanted to order, but the workers were rude towards them and pretty much kicked them out bc they were closed. That is what confused me as when I had called and saw on the outside of the door said they closed at 1am. I would most likely never return as I was disappointed all around. Also, I normally take tons of pictures of my food or what was ordered but like I said, it didn't do much for me so I didn't take any photos. read more

We decided to stop by after church this past weekend and wow!! I had the tacos de asada and they were sooo delicious. We also had the chicken quesadilla which was HUGE and very yummy. It's a very small place and pretty hidden off, but if you're ever on the strand I would definitely recommend stopping by. The owner was very nice and down to earth. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Great food. No overpriced "gourmet" tacos that do nothing but disappoint here. This place delivers great food at great prices. It's a little off the strand, but well worth the extra walk. read more

Very convenient when you're next door at three doors down bar. You can order your tacos, take the buzzer with you to the bar and when your order is ready (buzz) bring your tacos and eat at the bar while you enjoy drinks and music. Very tasty tacos! Service was quick we didn't have to wait long before our order was ready, will definitely be back for more tacos! read more

A basket of really good freshly fried thin tortilla chips were given with a decent salsa. We were given a breakfast menu, which had many things I wanted to try. 3 Barbacoa Tacos a la carte ($9.75) - a lot better deal than the plate (2 tacos with rice/beans/potatoes for $11.95). The tacos were good, decent size on a flour tortilla with cilantro, raw onions, and limes. It was decent quality shredded beef: moist and tender with good flavor. Menudo ($9.95) - only served on the weekend, this version was big with a ton of beef tripe (a lot more than there was hominy, which I'm not used to). I like tripe, but this amount was too much for me. The broth was flavorful and rich, and a good remedy for the little cold I had been fighting. Ended up finishing maybe half of it (ate all the hominy though). You pay at the front. Service was friendly throughout, and by the time we were leaving, the place was filling up. Parking is street, and there was plenty of it in the area.
