This is a plush and relaxing environment with a meditation room to relax in before and after your massage, while enjoying hot tea, warm nuts and the waterfall sounds. I have gone to the typical, strip mall nail salon for over 20 years. I was not able to get them to leave my big toenails long enough to avoid ingrown toenails. So I decided to upgrade my experience - a lot!! I had been to Rumi Simone for a facial and really enjoyed it. The pedicures are really a step above! OMG no comparison! First of all you get a arm and hand massage while your feet soak. Then they remove your old polish and and trim a bit. The best is to come! You transition to a zero gravity chair and have a foot and leg massage. So amazing. I have a hard time staying awake. After the massage, while you are dozing, your toes get painted. I had been to this spa so many times, pre-pandemic, and always had an amazing experience. So for my first pedicure in two years, my boyfriend and I schlepped from Seattle to Lake Oswego to go to Rumi Simone. Pro Tip, when you call to make a reservation a while in advance, when you get your appointment reminder, call to make sure they booked you for what you asked for. I wanted a couples pedicure that involved nail care and smoothing out our rough heels, and what I got booked for was a foot treatment that was basically a 40min foot massage. And they didn't call that out when my boyfriend and I arrived, so I had no idea and I didn't realize it until halfway through the service because my text reminder to confirm my appointment just said what time the service was at, not what service I'd booked. Also, they've changed up the check in process where at the upstairs lobby you have to take off your shoes and put on these awful plastic slides before walking to the lounges to change. Both my boyfriend and I were given sizes too small. I asked for bigger ones but my boyfriend is new to spa-ing and just suffered through the pain of walking around in those. Then when we got in the chairs, we were the only two people there and they had this curtain dividing us so it was weird to talk. Neither technician said a word to us the entire time, didn't even ask if water temperatures were good. Both of us had tepid water that got cold pretty fast so didn't really aid in relaxation. Best part was laying back in the zero gravity chairs but my technician rapidly adjusted the neck setting rather than the lever to lift me up completely which tweaked my neck and now my upper back is out of whack. Nothing like dropping almost $300 for zero nail/heel treatments, painful plastic torture slippers and to end up with a tweaked back. So disappointed in this experience and we will not be back. read more

This place is an oasis in the suburbs. You'll spend a pretty penny ($118 for a 1hr. Massage), but if you take advantage of the before and after time in the steam room, sauna, lounge... have some mixed nuts, tea etc. it might be well worth it. Jared did an incredible massage (I highly recommend him). The shower/vanity area has everything you need for a great shower, and a well stocked place to shower, shave and shine. When I mentioned my frustration Diana was extremely rude to me and spoke very loudly over me so that I could not get a word in edgewise. I had the Valmont Regenerating facial. Natalie was my esthetician. Natalie was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The facial was fabulous. Truly so relaxing and luxurious. In my recent experience with facials (very expensive ones) I have felt as if the people were basically just "product appliers" apply a mask/cream and leave you alone for 15 min. Then wipe off and repeat. THIS facial s not that. The complete opposite. Natalie, cleansed, applied various products and masks. But the whole time doing wonderful massage and gentle lymphatic drainage. Massing your hands with lotion and encasing them in heated mitts. It was just lovely. Today is my birthday. I went to get a facial and was urged to get a different treatment based on my skin type. And while I do not blame my aesthetician for the outcome, and I'm dissatisfied with their customer service. My skin had a TERRIBLE reaction and they had to stop the treatment and apply cold compress for nearly 45mins. I left Rumi Simone without having to pay for the service, which of course is undoubtedly the right thing. But no one asked how they could make it better? I was given a measly sample of a product to apply to my face as a condolences and sent on my way. Doubtful I'll ever return. ****EDIT**** The following day after this happened in June, Rumi did follow up with me. I should have written an updated review much sooner (my apologies for not doing so)! We discussed what had happened and what the solutions were, I was very pleased with their suggestions and the outcome I had with the dermatologist that they sent me too. This was no one's fault, this was something that could of happened to anyone with skin like mine. I apparently have VERY sensitive skin. They did give me a product to help heal my face, one by OSEA that I like very much and am still using. I also used hydrocortisone cream from the dermatologist that helped heal my face. I appreciate the communication and effort that Rumi Simone put into making sure I felt that this situation was taken care of and I am really looking forward to the complimentary comfort facial with Gigi. I have not been back yet for an appointment, but made my future appointment today! I'm looking forward to updating this review again after my appointment in August. read more

I had the BEST facial at Rumi Simone from the lovely Candace. It was the Vital Fusion facial. I've had facials at The Allison and a number of Four Seasons and this was my favorite EVER. She had the perfect touch and technique, she was soft spoken and professional and it was incredibly relaxing. I loved the use of the sauna and private spa area prior to my facial but I left the treatment glowing and calm. I will most definitely be back. 10/10. read more

Terrible service, dishonest. While I was showering, my robe with locker key and cell phone inside was taken and put into the washing machine. I have 3 young children, one having life threatening allergies, and always need to have my phone nearby. They apologized and told me that they would replace my phone and did not. What kind of business treats their customers like this? In response to their reply below: Rumi Simone's response is inaccurate! Dishonest, once again. My IPhone 6s Plus 128 mb is $650.00, as I told the owners on numerous occasions. In the screenshot you will see the text of them offering a $100.00 spa credit, NOT $650.00. It is their policy to check pockets. My robe was still in use. At first they didn't even tell me that they took my robe with spa key and washed my phone. They just tried to give it back to me hoping I wouldn't notice. That is incredibly unethical. It wasn't until I went to the upstairs front desk, told them that my phone was given to me wet, turning on and off, with 8 water streaks going through it, that they admitted to accidentally putting it in the wash. My property was ruined at the negligence of an employee, they told me they would replace my phone and did not. I told them I would need to consider legal action, and they refer to this as "threats to a business." If it is your employee you are responsible for their actions. This is about principle. Do what you say you are going to, and do the right thing. Beyond disappointed in this business and the way they treat their customers. read more

I went with a good friend to try out this spa today since our last experience at my old neighborhood spa unfortunately wasn't the best. We were up to trying something new so decided to try this one. We didn't have any issues with the front desk (as opposed to some of the other reviewers), they were friendly both on check in and check out. The facilities are amazing in comparison to the one other spa I have frequented in the area. You really want to linger on their comfortable chaise lounges with pretzel munchies. The change room had modicum of privacy, the showers divine as well as the products, the whole environment puts you in a tranquil state of mind. Yes, the price was a little higher than the other place but when you're already spending quite a bit it didn't seem to make that much of a difference since the experience was much better. My massage was superb and the table quite comfortable... the scented oils were great (I chose jasmine).. We're definitely looking forward to frequenting this place more often. read more

My hair color was a very involved processing treatment that required Jessicas' formal consideration & trust to do the right thing for my hair to maintain healthy shine, attractive manageability & really encouraging for longer hair growth. This is one of two luxurious spas that I've visited in my life, (the other being the Allison in Newberg). Personally, I like the intimate setting of Rumi as a person with anxiety who feels overwhelmed in large, spread out facilities like the Allison. If I were with a large group of girls, the Allison would be a better option, but for just me it is a wonderful spa and located conveniently near my home. My experience so far has been lovely: the masseuse was incredibly thorough and delivered perfect pressure, the environment is peaceful, the aroma throughout is heavenly, and they have all that I could need to relax: steam room, sauna, quaint and cozy lounge, locker room, showers, etc. read more

I've had a few massages @ Rumi which were amazing. Last week I had my second pedicure this time with Kelly who is delightful, and it was again amazing. I don't always get nails or massages done regularly, but when I do, I will pay more for the quality relaxing spa experience, which Rumi will give you. They have zero gravity chairs which you sit back in with a warm eye cover while your tech paints your toes- I have dozed off both times it is so relaxing!! Spa experience: I've been here twice, both for facials. Facials here are great. I haven't tried the spa baths yet but that's on my list to try. This place is really clean and friendly. I used the sauna and the steam room the second time I was here and they are small but nice. Free champagne and mimosa. I like the quiet and atmosphere. I booked for extra exfoliation the first time I was here and my aesthetician told me I don't need it and she rather me spend that money on something I need instead. I was given a gift of "Indulgence for a Day" at this beautiful spa in LO. I am quite the spa junkie and love to be pampered. The decor, ambiance and general feel of the space is pure luxury and very relaxing. Fireplaces, water features and quiet are all abundant here. My services were perfection. Cher was my LMT, can't wait to see her again. Susan gave me the best pedicure service, EVER! The great location, with a parking garage and great lunch places next door make this a "must do" for ladies who like to have spa days. The only reason I did not give RS the full 5 stars, is the front desk greeting. While I like the seperate retail and spa floors, the young woman who greeted me at the front desk when I arrived was not very welcoming. No smile, greeting or "welcome" - it took a couple of minutes for her to acknowledge me. The owner may need to remind the front desk that the store area is also the entrance to the gorgeous spa, and that clients spending $400 for the day would like to be greeted with a smile and genuine welcome. read more

I booked a couples massage for my lady and I for her birthday last week. When I called to schedule the appointment, I let them know that it was a surprise and that I wanted to pay beforehand so that the money part wouldn't take away from the post massage glow for my girlfriend. I was told this was fine, gave a card number and was given a total that already included a 20% gratuity, fair enough. The facility was beautiful, the products they have on hand, the robes and tea were all amazing. I thought my massage was painful at times, though my massage therapist never checked in with me to see if the pressure was good and didn't respond to my breathing or flinching. My girlfriend enjoyed her massage and. On our way out they stopped me and asked for my credit card again. With swollen eyes and a foggy head from my massage I handed my card over and asked my girlfriend to wait for me outside only mildly perturbed at having to do this since I thought I had handled it. The woman at the counter had me sign the receipt and said gratuity was already included. Fine. The next morning I wanted to double check that I hadn't been double charged since they were supposed to have already charged me. While i wasn't double charged, I did notice that the total was $50 more than what I agreed to when I booked the appointment. I checked the pricing on the website and sure enough, I was over charged. I called and explained what happened, the girl on the phone said there was nothing she could do and would have her manager call me back on Sunday; this was a Friday. Never got a call back. Don't feel like following up again. Just upset and don't want to make a big stink about it. If you are charging for some seriously high end service and hitting it with your super nice facility, don't screw it up by hiring massage therapists who are not the best and then making it worse by over charging your customers and then failing to follow up when you promised you would. ***Update*** Got refunded the difference with an apology call from the manager. This place is one of my favorites, and I will return, however I will never get a manicure there again. My nails were unfortunately ruined, and one nail bed was bruised to the extent that it damaged the growth of the nail. I am waiting for them to grow out but my nails have never been in such bad shape, even after remove of artificial or shellac nail treatments. I would give them a higher rating but because of the manicure I wanted all to be aware that you are best served to spend less for a manicure elsewhere, and spend more for massages and other treatments at Rumi Simone. read more

I have bad news and good news... The bad news: my regular massage therapist at a different spa, who I absolutely adore, is on maternity leave for several months. That's the bad news. The good news: Today I had an amazing 90-minute massage from Denise! She perfectly executed a high quality massage and I got every penny's worth! Her attention to detail, strength, fluid strokes, and amazing skill were quite impressive! Denise will now be my regular massage therapist until my other one returns--lucky me! And, as a side note, my friend had massage therapist Julie today and she said she was quite happy with the service too! Rumi Simone is my absolute favorite spa and I feel so filled-up and relaxed when I leave. The environment is calming and uplifting to one's inner soul. Rum Simone is my happy place. I researched all of the local spas for several months, including those in Vancouver, where I live. I narrowed my choices down to a handful and planned to visit them all. Rumi impressed me so much, I've never gone anywhere else. The spa and amenities are upscale and you feel like you've stepped into another world. The service is impeccable, both upstairs and downstairs, and the facilities are immaculate. The combined rain shower/Swiss shower in massage rooms is one of my favorite things. if you've never experienced a Vichy shower, you should definitely try it out. My mom booked an appointment for she and I to get facials and massages in January, and it was supposed to be a Valentine's day/ birthday spa day! We were so excited! But then, they called us at 5:45pm, the night before our apointment and said that because of the about .2 inches of rain/snow slush that they were "making an executive decision" and cancelling the next morning's appointments. We were devastated. Anyone with an appointment later than 11 just got theirs moved back, but ours was canceled. They tried to reschedule us but this is the first day both my mom and I have had off in weeks! She has a packed schedule and I have school, so unless they waited until the next 3-Day weekend, no reschedule. See, I would understand if it was pouring snow and it was actually sticking, but we live at the top of the hill in West Linn, and it was just wet. Word of advice, Rumi Simone: if you live in Oregon, get used to the wetness and maybe a tiny bit of snow. It won't hurt you. This place used to be our go-to spa. It was so reliable and calming and we loved all of the features. But this has ruined our experience. read more

This is generally my go-to Salon, even though I have to drive all the way from Hillsboro to come here (grew up in LO). I love their massages and facials, always have been fabulous. And coming beforehand to steam is a plus. Also love taking advantage of showering and getting ready afterwards. My only disappointment came when I surprised by husband with a facial and massage for his birthday. I told him all about how wonderful the lounge was and how you can steam ahead of time and then get ready with a nice shower and all the amenities - come to find out from him, the men's lounge is not nearly as nice as the ladies! No steam room, no nice amenities with the shower. Very disappointed in that :( but i guess my fault for not asking. The staff is usually very friendly, but does tip toe on the line of being snooty at times. Especially if you are using a gift card. All in all, I love this place and will go back - just not sure hubby will be joining. read more
