Great variety of delicious food whether appetizers or entrees. Very popular restaurant with a busy atmosphere in the suitable decor. Plan for using a valet as the parking in the area is limited or a short walk.

A little disappointed after my recent experience at Rumi's Kitchen. I've dined there before and never had any issues, which made this visit even more surprising. We reserved a 7 PM table for a Friday night date night, and to our surprise, we were seated right away. The hosts were very cordial and welcoming. At first, we weren't sure who our server was until the manager came over and introduced themselves. As for the food, it arrived relatively quickly. I ordered the grilled wings, which are usually a must-have for me, but this time I was extremely disappointed with the taste. They honestly seemed like they were not fresh and may have been sitting in water for a while (I hope you get this). We mentioned this to our server, who apologized, but they didn't seem quite sure how to handle the situation and simply took the dish away. The bold flavors I've come to expect from other visits to Rumi's were noticeably lacking. While the food wasn't completely tasteless, the proteins felt much more bland compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area. This is clearly a very busy restaurant, and I've genuinely loved my experiences at Rumi's in the past. I hope this was just an isolated incident and not a sign that the restaurant's quality is being affected by how busy it has become.

Some of the best, most flavorful food I have had in a while. Fun atmosphere too! Our waiter was fantastic. Service was definitely elevated. Will be back.

I wanted to love this place based on all the recommendations but I felt the koobideh fell a bit flat with such lack in flavor. The rice was fine. Service was professional and great. The appetizer recommended labne was really good.

Rumi's Sandy Springs has had a gorgeous makeover--and the vibe? Still just as magical, if not better The earthy tones, soft hues, and warm lighting set just the right mood at Rumi's Kitchen The food? Absolutely brilliant as always--we happily stuck to our favorites: The Sharzeh Garden , Kashk Bademjoon, those addictive chicken wings, and the labneh with char-grilled cherry tomatoes For mains, the Chicken Barg with adas rice and the lamb kebabs never disappoint. And if you ask the family, the sea bass here is still the best on the menu. We also tried their s'mores dessert--beautifully presented and just as delicious. With a new dessert chef on board, you have to explore their sweet creations next time you visit! Highly recommend making a reservation before you go--it's always in demand

Go to Rumi's for the vibes! Whether it's date night, out with friends, or celebrating something special, Rumi's in Avalon is something else. Very chic seating, intimate tables, and indoor/outdoor options. The food is decent. I didn't particularly like the hummus with beef (the hummus was incredibly bitter, like old olive oil was used). However the rest of the meal was tasty - particularly the kabobs, lamb chops, and rice. I love a tasty Persian rice with raisins, carrots, and saffron that balances nicely against the meat. During the winter this spot has heaters which work plenty well. It was 40F outside and we were toasty.

I was so looking forward to going to this new restaurant after really liking the other Rumi's that is currently under renovation. I'm sorry to say the other restaurant experience was SO MUCH BETTER. First, this place is SO NOISY!!! You could hardly hear yourself much less have a conversation. My chicken meal here at Avalon was overcooked, hard, not moist nor flavorful. The rice was good but the small amount of sauce on the rice was disappointing. The apps were the best part of the experience. The eggplant was perfection, smoky and delicious. The shrimp appetizer and shrimp meal was very good. Flavorful and tasty. The shrimp meal came with rice that was wonderfully seasoned with orange peel and other spices. Amazing. The cream brûlée was different. It was flavored with cardamon and earl grey tea. I liked it very much even if it was brown and had a different taste. The atmosphere was rated low because of the noise level. Holding a conversation was nearly impossible.

Why this place is not 5 star rating shocks me! I am in town for work and this place was highly recommended by my client. I read the reviews and made a reservation on open table. There was nothing but early times but that was fine. There is a parking garage around the corner. Such a beautiful area, lots of shopping! Walked into the restaurant and it's beautiful, greeted promptly and was seated on a high top table. My server was really nice Peninnah, she suggested some items. Dinner comes with some pita bread, some feta, olives, other kind of vegetables. I also got the mushroom hummus (so delicious, silky smooth with mushrooms on top!). I probably would have been fine to have that for dinner. I got the chicken kabab, it came with a grilled tomato and rice. Tender, juicy, favorable chicken. Glass of Malbec. Food, atmosphere, service, all perfect.

Definitely delicious, definitely crowded but worth. I think about the roasted cauliflower like everyday. Food is great, service is great 5 for 5 rumis yay! Almost forgot to mention ... SUPER GOOD COCKTAILS!

We have tried coming here when in town before, but it was always busy - definitely recommend getting a reservation, esp on the weekends. Our waiter was very attentive and had great recommendations for us. The food itself was delicious. We debated for a bit on which appetizer to ge, but decided on the the lamb hummus. It was delicious. I could have eaten a whole meal of just that. I do want to try the mushroom hummus too - maybe next time. For dinner I had the Chinjeh Lubia Polo - and it was great. I really liked the garlic yogurt mixed with the beef kabob, rice, and the rice, which had a hint of cinnamon. I would definitely order that again. Overall, a very good experience and I can see why they stay busy. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

Been here eight or so times over the past year and a half, and Rumi's never disappoints. If anything, it only gets better. It's always a great time dining there, and the food is consistently delicious. This is a place where I know the food will have me dancing in my seat and eating till I'm stuffed. The ambiance is clean, upscale, and bustling without being chaotic. Without a reservation, expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get seated. The complimentary bread is warm, soft, and so yummy, especially paired with the complimentary olives, feta, walnuts, and mint. I also love eating it with the Mirza Ghasemi (eggplant, tomato, garlic), and mushroom hummus. Note that this hummus is not your typical grocery-store hummus. It's richer, thicker, earthy, and has a much better texture. As for appetizers, the spicy shrimp are very large with a dry, parmesan-based sauce. As for the entrees, you can't go wrong. The lamb kabobs are flavorful, chicken kabob is especially juicy, and Soltani kabob has great texture. All the rices have a scoop of buttery yellow basmati rice on top which is delicious. Of the rices, the raisin & lentil basmati rice is my favorite. A few months ago they added mocktails to the menu. I've tried the AJ Mojito (good) and the Paradise (even better). Also note that if you're celebrating a birthday, they bring out a complimentary baklava with a candle on top. No question this place has better food than Delbar across the highway. It's consistently excellent, with thoughtful changes to the menu, and it's a place I keep coming back to for good reason.

Came here before my flight back home.. the vibe is great, our server Jason was very to the point and explained everything very well! Gave us nice suggestions on how to approach our quick lunch and Rumi's didn't disappoint! Sea bass and salmon were exactly what we needed before flying home!

Had dinner with a friend who was in town visiting. It was a busy Friday night and there was a 45 min wait but we walked to another restaurant in the Avalon to have a drink while we waited. Anywho the drinks, appetizers and entrees were all good. Their bread is so good! Food: appetizers we had the wings and grilled shrimp. I had the Glimps of Paradi for my drink and my friend had a Mezcal Old Fashion. My drink was just ok but not strong enough for me. For entrees my friend had the Chicken Barg and I had the Chinjen Lubia. Both entrees were great! Rumi's always delivers!

We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

It was warm outside and warm = rooftop bar. It was the start of a great night. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located in downtown Alpharetta on South Main Street. The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of an office building. There is no parking directly by the building, however there is free street parking as well as a deck that is free and is a few minutes walk. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. Verdict I'm not in Alpharetta much, but the next time I am, I'll definitely stop through for a drink and the view. If you're in the area stop on in! Until next time!

The ambience was so nice and the food was fantastic! My group got a few appetizers to try- all were tasty and so were the drinks. I noticed it was a different menu than the most recent time I went. The first time, I got the braised short rib and was very pleasantly surprised with the portion, flavor, and tenderness of the meat! Our server was great as well and helped us enjoy a fantastic evening. This past Sunday I went again with a small group of people around 4. There was only one other group eating in the restaurant at the time but they left shortly after we got there, leaving us the only ones in the space. Our server may have been new and not well trained- he didn't write down our three orders, which could have been fine but he had to come back and ask us what we ordered before he put it in. We got the smash burger, fish sandwich and chicken piccata. The burger looked nice, two patties and plenty of toppings, but my fish sandwich was absolutely lacking. At first, it looked great, but the more I ate the more I realized there was hardly any fish in there. To me, the fish seemed about 1 cm thick with a huge coating of breading sandwiched between a bun on either side... the coleslaw needed to be sharper, and the tartar sauce added to the heaviness of the meal, not the elevation of it. I felt I needed another meal after I finished. The chicken piccata was decent but was heavy on the lemon, to the point it wasn't enjoyable to finish. I probably won't be back because of the disappointing meal I had.
