This is a hidden gem for Turkish and middle eastern food and groceries! It has both a market and restaurant end to it. Close to the Cleveland Clinic main hospital and Case Western campus. This is my go-to place for authentic Turkish delights and middle eastern cuisine desserts that I love to get for colleagues/coworkers or for a dinner, etc. They also have super fresh produce and quality meats (and marinated meats like kabobs, etc) at fair prices. I have yet to run through their teas and snacks but have heard great things. Staff is super nice if you have questions about what you're looking for. The staff at the restaurant end are also incredibly kind and generous, with indoor and outdoor dining. The weekend buffets are a great way to sample authentic Turkish food. They are also on the toogoodtogo app (food rescue app) and pretty frequently offer their remaining untouched buffet items in bulk size on the app at an incredible price. Gotten one of those tray tin foils of beef stew and rice before! My only issue is that, like many restaurants, the use of oil is heavy and I often need to refrigerate and scrape it off before eating. Also the wait times can vary depending on how busy it is when you're there. Parking lot available.

The food is always fresh and hot. Really clean ingredients. I love the mixed grill meal!

Took a class here today and it was amazing. The restaurant and grocery store has gone through new ownership or management, and I think the new changes are for the better. We got to try some of their food -- some mezzes such as chicken salad, cooked eggplant, and a beet slaw. Their chicken kabobs were so flavorful, and of course the best part was learning how to make lahmajun. I would highly recommend this place to eat or to shop for some basic middle eastern, Turkish, and south asian necessities. The people who work there are so nice as well, and as someone who is newer to Cleveland, this is definitely a favorite.

This is by far the best & most authentic Turkish cuisine in Cleveland. I tried a little bit of everything and it was all phenomenal and the service was stellar.

Sunday Indian, Pakistani, Persian buffet, excellent

I am bumping this up to 5 stars based on the following : the service, the Sunday buffet and the fresh ground lamb I purchased. The buffet, which is only on Sundays was amazing. You may want to wear stretchy pants!. There were several beef dishes, chicken dishes, salads, Naan, roti, vegetable dishes, chutneys. Everything was really good and well stocked. The service was friendly and efficient. Lastly I asked somone up front if they had any lamb and they advised yes, just ask and they will cut or grind to order. I asked the lady behind the counter for dome ground lamb on the leaner side. A out 10 minutes later I had about 2 lbs of ground lamb. When I cooked it there was not a lot of grease In the sauté pan. That is how you know if there is a lot of excess fat when they make it.

Short Review: Rumi's Market and Deli is a Middle Eastern restaurant that is attached to a convenient grocery store. The restaurant itself has very good food with wonderful combos. Their meat combination on top of their nicely seasoned rice was a terrific take-out meal. A couple of problems that I had about this restaurant was that some parts of the meat were a little dry and the wait time is a bit long. Long Review: I live close to Rumi's Market and Deli, and while it is not in the safest of areas, it is a convenient location to get good food from the restaurant and the grocery store. I ordered the Mix Grilled Platter which was quite literally a "feast for a king!" from its description on Grubhub. It gave a wonderful combination of well-seasoned meats such as lamb kabob, lamb adana, chicken kabob, and chicken adana. The rice was perfectly made without being too dry or heavy. The onions and grilled tomato completed the dish, making an overall great dinner. I believe that some parts of the meat were a little too dry, making it a bit chewy. However, the quantity and taste made up for it. The ambiance is very clean with the staff being very kind and helpful when explaining the menu items. The prep time for the meals is quite long but you can see that everything is freshly prepared in their kitchen. Therefore, I recommend going to the connecting grocery store to look for some of the great deals that they are offering (I recommend the box of samosas). For dining, you can choose take-out or dine-in where there are a plethora of tables and seats. Overall, I think the food is very tasty and if you can afford to wait, I would recommend going to Rumi's Market and Deli for the freshly cooked meats and well-balanced combos.

How close is this to Tudors Arms Hotel?

It is about 1 mile away. I'd say a good 15-20 min walk or a few mins by car. It's close by. The Cle Clinic is in the middle between the hotel and the restaurant.

But once things were sorted out we were seated and ordered some drinks and the kibbie appetizer (which was glorious!) We decided to share a double grill platter to try some different selections and not overeat, this was ideal and we were very happy with our choices. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Clearly this place deserves the reviews.

There were several staff members moving in and out of the waiting area, but only one asked me about my order and reassured me that it would be coming out shortly twice, though I still ended up waiting 20+ minutes after these reassurances. To be fair, this restaurant is within walking distance of the convention center, and several conference attendees grabbed lunch here that day, but I was hoping that ordering ahead could mitigate some of the wait time. Some fellow conference attendees also noted the extremely long wait time for their sit-down meals: several of them had to immediately take their food to go once it arrived to make it back to the convention center, despite the two-hour lunch break we had. As for the food, the mujadara was pretty yummy! I enjoyed the fried onions on top, though they were pretty limp and soggy by the time I could eat it. The lentils were a bit on the hard side, and the side of pickled turnips I ordered was pretty small but added to the meal. I did really enjoy the pillowy pita that was included, and the sumac olive oil dip was pretty good as well.

Although I have spent much of the past 23 years living in various places outside of both Cleveland and Ohio, I'm a born and raised East Side Clevelander. And whenever I resettle in the area, I always find myself gravitating back to Algebra Tea House for the good vibes. In the past several months that I have been visiting, I'm happy to see the place really feels like a cultural community hub and an outright neighborhood institution. Over the years, many unique small businesses that have shuttered operations in Coventry (China Treasure House, Big Fun, Record Revolution, La Cave du Vin), Cedar-Fairmount (Nighttown). I'm so happy to see that Algebra Tea House is thriving and continuing to create a unique and inviting environment for the neighborhood. I love the unpretentious and lo-fi atmosphere and operation. I love the DIY craftsmanship that permeates in every aspect of the business. The food and beverage options are also quite good. Although I haven't been around for many years, I think maybe there are more offerings on the menu these days. I especially love the vegetable stews on their chalkboard menu and the foul madamas (fava beans). Service is lo-fi and very casual. Just place your order at the counter. It is written on a scratch pad. Sit down and be patient. The food or beverage will then be delivered to your table. Pay on your way out. This Aladdin's was recently renovated, contains updated lighting fixtures, decor (like mosaics on the wall), and furniture. It looks much more trendy. Food order options: You can order Aladdin's to go/pick-up, order via food order apps, or dine in. If you're pickup up and ordering online, it will save you a few bucks placing an order on Aladdin's website and not other apps (like Uber Eats or DoorDash). Food: This location has a traditional Aladdin's menu. The food has recently improved. Most of the dishes used to be very dry (such as Mediterranean Lamb Plate). Lately, the main dishes improved tremendously and became more flavorful. My latest order comprised of Taza Chicken Salad ($14.75) and Sally's Favorite Bowl ($9.95). Both dishes had generous servings, were flavorful, and not dry. These dishes were very good value! I also ordered dessert - Tiramisu. I used to love desserts from Aladdin's. The latest dessert was a miss. I think that this location stopped working with their previous baking partner. Nonetheless, there are various options for cheesecakes, baklava, and other tasty treats. Service is always pleasant and quick whether you're dining in or ordering to go meal. Parking is available at the back of the store - small lot. There are also street parking options. Review signs on the street to ensure you don't get a parking violation. I recommend this location for a casual eatery option. Also, if you enjoy a stroll and dinner, this is a perfect destination. You can check other restaurants in the area for cocktails or beers. Check Cedar Fairmount website or Facebook to get ideas about other restaurants in the area.
