We drove up to the campus knowing that this is where films like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Up, and Inside Out were created, and simply standing outside the property carried a certain weight if those movies were part of your childhood. The studio grounds are private and not open for public tours, so the experience is naturally limited, but the location still holds plenty of significance because of what was created here. The most recognizable sight is the Luxo Jr. lamp and Pixar ball near the entrance. Even from outside the property, seeing these symbols in person created an immediate connection to the studio's history. The campus itself is beautifully maintained, with clean architecture, landscaped grounds, and a design that reflects the creativity associated with Pixar's films. We spent a few minutes at the entrance, taking in the details and imagining the work that happens behind those walls. Expectations are important here. There are no public exhibits, interactive experiences, or visitor facilities. Most people will spend only a few minutes at the entrance before moving on. The appeal comes entirely from the studio's legacy rather than the amount there is to do on site. If you are lucky, you may be able to go on the tour, but it can be tough to secure one, and it is not something to count on for a casual visit. For dedicated Pixar fans, that is often enough. Seeing the place where some of the most influential animated films of the last several decades were made provides a sense of connection that goes beyond a typical sightseeing stop. It is not a destination worth building an entire day around, but it can be a fun and memorable detour for anyone who grew up with Pixar movies. The significance of the location carries the experience, and for those who appreciate the studio's work, the short stop feels meaningful.

Huge shoutout to our amazing host, Natalie Lyon, for making the experience extra special. She was so warm and welcoming, and it was awesome to see the place through the eyes of someone who clearly loves what she does. We geeked out over the iconic Luxo Jr. lamp and ball, wandered through inspiring spaces filled with artwork and storyboards, and got a behind-the-scenes look at the kind of storytelling magic that has shaped so many of our favorite films. Also--note to future visitors: the merch store is dangerously good. We didn't leave empty-handed. If you ever get the chance to visit Pixar, go! It's pure magic, and it made us feel like wide-eyed kids all over again.

I have dealt with Grand Copy in the past, but Minuteman Press was conveniently located. I opted for Minuteman. I have been working on a memorial service program for my oldest sister who transitioned in February 2025. It has been a challenge for me, with the help from my younger sister, to select the photos. The written obituary was edited numerous times until I was satisfied with the wordings. Carla Sanchez was a tremendous help, and she was pleasant. She was also extremely patient with me. We went through so many hoops to get 77 photos from my gallery folder to their email. She even showed me samples of other people's funeral/memorial service programs. Quite impressive that there was a program for the late Frankie Beverly. The whole process took about 1-1/2 hours to complete the task at hand. I needed 75 copies of the memorial service program. The total cost was about $704. A little pricy. However, I know the quality of the finished product will be memorable and well worth it. Finally. I am thankful for my friend's recommendation and Minuteman Press. The program will be ready about a week before the memorial service.
