    a variety of teas
    Shari B.

Holly was generous enough to do a Zoom tea tasting for our large group. I ordered a sampler of many of her teas, and let me tell you--what an incredible treat! I have only tried a few so far, but they are all delicious, high-quality, and unique. As a non-coffee drinking "tea toller," I have sipped lots of teas in my lifetime. Holly's teas rank up there as some of the best. I also appreciate the variety of choices and how easy it is to order online. Aside from world class tea, I like supporting a woman-owned business. I look forward to replenishing my supply and ordering lots of gifts from Russian River Tea Company. I may have to reference my naughty/nice list first.

Thank you Holly for hosting such a fabulous tasting of your fine teas by Zoom. I loved the opportunity to taste test some of the 40 teas in my sampler with you and friends over zoom. I will be trying some of the recipes you shared using tea in salad dressings and sauces! I learned so much about the different types of teas and methods of preparation! I can't wait to visit the store in person once it's safe, but in the meantime I'll be ordering a few more of the teas that you talked about today!

My favorite teas, plus a generous sampler set!

Stopped by this shop while I was in town visiting for a wedding and loved all of the tea options (and it's loose leaf, which is hands down the best since you see the quality of the leaves rather than powdered leaves in a pre-packed tea bag). The owner was super hospitable and very knowledgeable about the differences between each tea selection, so I was able to ask all the questions I needed. It's been nearly two years since I first visited and even though I live in Texas, I still order tea from here regularly. If you're unsure which teas to try, her sampler packs are the best, and that isn't even accounting for the reasonable pricing! I've recommended RRTCo. to many people since.

    Tea to go!

I got one of the tea cocktails that had mango and shoju that was really good. Service is very gracious. We sat in their nice outdoor covered area. Their decor is quirky and fun inside, with only a few tables, so reservations are recommended (although we managed to get a table walking in on a weekday afternoon). They have a massive selection of teas, pretty much any kind you can think of and then some, as well as an impressive selection of sake. Which all goes well with their ramen, which is the only thing we tried this time. It's not quite the typical ramen you would see at Japanese spots in SF or South Bay, but I imagine quite good for North Bay and tasty in their own right. I wouldn't mind going back even just for teas and sake and maybe some lighter bites.

There are tall ceilings and a good number of tables/seats indoor and some smaller tables outside. On a Saturday late morning while we were there, we did notice that there was pretty constantly a line. However, it is pretty fast moving and took us about 10 minutes to get through ourselves. You'll start by seeing some merchandise and online orders before getting to the baked goods, drinks/cakes, and the cashier. The staff was super friendly and helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions. Once you order, you get a number if you're eating in and can grab cutlery, water cups/water, and look for a seat. There is also a good restroom that was clean. We sat on one of the bigger tables/benches and our order came in about 7 minutes. Here's what we ordered: +Veggie quiche: One of the best items we had. Loved the flaky pie crust and how big it was. The quiche was delicious and came with a small side salad. +Ham and cheese croissant: A good croissant. Loved the everything bagel-like seasoning on top. I think this being warmed up would go the extra mile. +/-Ricotta and jam toast: The toast was good here. But the ricotta/jam were a little bland. Would have benefitted from a little more of a bold flavor to help give it a distinctive taste. -Iced matcha latte: We also ordered the iced matcha latte. They didn't have almond milk so opted for oat milk. Unfortunately this was the weakest item we had personally. The oat milk was a bit too strong and combined with the matcha used, it left with a bit of a strange aftertaste. Parking wasn't too hard as it was in a pretty big parking lot. I did move the scoop to the side so it wouldn't melt as fast and I can taste the velvety ice cream on its own.
