As the owner explained, the store is a mix of old (thrift) and new (gift) items plus she has several artists that make items specifically for the store or that she features. Usually there is a plaque/sign up by each artist's works. We browsed through and saw there's a little bit of everything -- clothing, household goods, art, cook books, jewelry, soaps, accessories, and antiques/collectibles, too. The store is small, so the half dozen folks who were there when we were took up a lot of space between the aisles. We didn't find anything here to buy today, but we enjoyed seeing what she has to offer.

Usually you have to go to a comic con to see merchandise like this so it was nice to see that downtown Lake Worth has a full time store. Darkside has over a 1,000 collectibles on display. They also sell modern and vintage toys, Funko Pops, action figures, comics, games, backpacks, collectibles, autographed merchandise, and records. During my visit they were having a $10 sale on the Funko Pops. I loved their horror collection but they cater to all franchise fans like Star Wars and Marvel. You can buy, sell, or trade with them. This is really unique store to have in this area so come out and support them.

Yes, there are tourist souvenirs, different gifts, trinkets, and memorabilia. And many of the usual items you'd find -- like t-shirts and jewelry -- but with a unique twist or sense of whimsy or of humor. There's a back room of vintage clothing, too. Always seeking out a bargain, I found myself sifting through a large sale basket of costume jewelry -- all for only $3 each -- and discovered three items to bring home. We also had a nice conversation with the owner. He told us a bit about his history. I was curious about the mix of new and old items. He told us he even has customers who collect certain things and will approach him to help fill in their collections. If you stop by, allow yourself time to browse as you'll discover a new treasure in every corner. And probably find something intriguing to take home.

I was in the area on a Saturday afternoon so I took advantage to visit an area I am in love with. This was the first time I noticed the Day by Day Shoppe and the inviting outside made me want to peek in. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Will who it turns out is quite an artist. The store specializes in a mixture of new and used items. It has a vintage vibe that I adore. Will wants to upcycle and encourage people to find a creative new life for items they might otherwise throw away. From used items he creates amazing one of a kind pieces. I ended up purchasing a flower feeder for my garden made from a plate and a vase. I am going to lay bird food on it or fruit for the butterflies. I also bought a darling butterfly girl to hang in the tree above my butterfly garden. My new finds inspired me to go out and finally weed the area. In addition to wonderful accents for your garden, the shop has all kinds of home decor and accessories at very reasonable prices. Items range from just a few dollars to several hundred. I love Will's eye for design. Pot holders and dish towels for your kitchen, jewelry, glassware, china, bags, and tiny hanging gardens for your windows were just some of the items I coveted. I will definitely be back to do some holiday shopping this year. I also have my eye on a certain light fixture that Will created. Another reason to visit the store in addition to the one of a kind items is that Northwood is having a special event to help the Bahamas.
