In the land of way too many big name chain coffee shops it's refreshing to find a small, local place. The bonus here is they are biker friendly. The interior has motorcycle related goodies on the wall: posters, helmets, signs and a Harley on the route to the restrooms. Ok so their coffee isn't to bad either. Today my drink of choice was a caramel iced latte. We also got the honey lavender iced latte with soy milk. My drink was tasty. The beans were roasted to perfection. They didn't taste burnt or bitter. The coffees weren't watered down either. If you're hungry they have scones & donuts from one of the local shops - Rebel. It was a great experience and worth the drive. I like local, and this place is a great local stop. I only give 5 stars to best in class - this one earned all of them. read more

This is a great independent coffee shop! The coffee was great, as was the latte. There were lots of choices, and keto requests were accommodated, without hesitation. There were a variety of people there--hippies, bikers, boomers, whatever. An adorable pup joined the mix with his person. There was merch available. There's seating available. Rust Is Gold is just so cool. A haven for the biking community, their shop just oozes the good vibes and proclaims to the world "everyone is welcome here". Their branding is on merch and it's truly a cool place to just hang out sipping coffee. My absolute favorite thing about them is their specials- I've never had a bad one! My favorite so far is the Arnold Palmtree (Arnold Palmer with coconut flavoring) and the Mike's Morning Lemonade (iced latte with lemon cream). DELICIOUS! Everyone who works here is always so friendly too. I just really love this place and don't have any bad things to point out. read more

Where my vintage/classic/racing motorcycle enthusiasts at?!?! Rust is Gold is serving up a mighty fine morning brew in a nostalgic setting inside the very hip ABQ Collective. All of the memorabilia and decor is such a nice touch to compliment the theme of this joint, and the abq collective locale is absolutely perfect! This is the kind of variety that makes our city so awesome, happy Rust is Gold is a part of it! I ordered the house brew, which was strong and satisfying, right up my alley. Some lovely pastries were available, but a few more food options would really make this place soar for me. Breakfast sandwich maybe? Burritos? Even a few simple lunch paninis? Came in on a Monday morning about 9am with my wife and son. My wife got a ice cold brew, I got a black coffee, and a chocolate milk for my son. LOVE THE PLACE! My wife loved the cold brew as every sip was taken followed by a head upward eyes closed Mmmmmm. My black coffee was very good as well! I was taking some pretty big gulps and I usually sip my black coffee. I was surprised at how smooth it went down. Highly recommend!!! we will return!!! read more

The new space is in a strip mall on Eubank, just north of Comanche. Yummy cold brew (seasonal), free wifi, and numerous tables inside and on the small front patio. I wanted to try a new coffee place this time that I was in town and I found this one with good reviews. The place is decorated very nice with motorcycle apparel (helmets, actual bikes, shelves with oil and stuff). Very cool looking! The man behind the counter seemed to be the only one working there taking orders and making the drinks but he was very relaxed about it, no stress. I ordered a caramel mocha latte and also a hot cocoa for my daughter. The drink was exceptional! I really liked it a lot (and I have been to plenty coffee places)! This place is so cool. Like other reviews stated, there are tiny shops inside the main area, along with a salon! People can rent them sell their goods. Right now there is a tiny record shop, lotion shop, and others. I really liked my honey lavender latte (pictured). I feel like the coffee and drinks are a plus to everything else featured. Side Note: The owner is a retired teacher and the person in the salon is a former graduate! I will definitely return especially when I need to buy gifts or spend some time. This is a very easy way to support multiple local businesses at once. read more

This is one of the cutest coffee shops I've seen in ABQ. You walk into the past. It is rustic and could be on any old country road on Route 66. It has vintage car memorabilia. It's has that comfy gonna kick it with my friends and enjoy a lovely cup of tasty macchiato. You can also stroll the mini speciality stops including a hair dresser. Opened recently, the atmosphere is open and inviting. Right at Eubank and Constitution, this Kind of an eclectic person's dream coffee shop, and it's part of a larger group of stores all under one roof. There's a record store, a beautician, jewelry and clothing for sale in some other shops here. So it is good if you have a few minutes to walk around. I was in a coffee mood so that's why I stopped here and ordered a Carmel Macchiato. Very well priced and I believe it was better than those I routinely buy at Starbucks. I am glad Business is moving in and would recommend stopping for a bit and taking it all in, rather than just rushing through since there is a lot to see. read more

I think my wife liked this place a bit more than me...she saw this place and said we had to stop, I replied "why do you want to go to a hipster coffee shop?" jokingly...then we went inside. So the coffee shop is right at the entrance and is fun, it has a little sofa with coffee table books and such to read (we read one with coffee facts). I didn't get anything but had a sip of my wife's London Fog which I took a sip of and it was good (smelled like fruit loops but was a bit weak in the flavor department). We meandered around the building while the tea was being made and looked into all the little shops there. The layout is odd and each shop only has about 30-50sq feet of space inside which means the shops are VERY small. I'm not sure how you buy things from the shops as I didn't notice any merchants. It felt like I was walking through an antique/second hand store with different vendors so I'm sure there was a register somewhere for people to check out at. Remember how I joked with my wife about the place being for hipsters? Ironically when we went there were about 8 people sitting at a table typing things out on typewriters. I'm not sure if there was like a club meeting or what but it was hilarious to me and I'm going to pretend they were all working on their manuscripts (in their defense several of them were 50+ so they may not have been hipsters). read more

Went to Rust is Gold for the first time today and was absolutely amazed! I walked in and loved the vintage/motorcycle vibe + it had great music playing!
