    Filet with goose liver

My fiance and I had a great dinner at Rustica. Service was quite slow but our waitress was very attentive. We had the table d'hote, which at the time was based on french cuisine. The starters of frog legs and quail were both delicious. The main course was a filet mignon topped with goose liver and it was easily one of the best steaks that we've ever had. Unfortunately, the desserts that we had that night were practically inedible. They offered the whole dessert menu to us but we ate the ones off the table d'hote menu which I think was the problem, maybe stick to their traditional desserts if you choose to have one. There's no mistaking the fact that this place is known for their steak, stick to that and you will have a great meal.

Honestly, Rustica didn't blow my mind, but I'm no fine dining expert. The food was great as was my glass of wine, but there was only one main dish on the menu that I would eat because I'm not a huge meat fan. I ordered the Tuscan style chicken breast, which was expensive but very flavorful. My favorites, which are likely less exciting to most, were the escargot stuffed mushrooms and the fresh bread. The views of the golf course are fabulous and if you're lucky, you'll get a good seat. The atmosphere isn't anything new and service was just fine. We had a tiny squirrel visitor, which was the only other living being in the restaurant looking for food along with my spouse and I for some time. There were eventually 5 other patrons but otherwise it was dead. My spouse and I agree that it's worth the visit once if you happen to be in town.

They updated the decor and the menu but the service is still just ok. They always seem short staffed . The views at the Silvertip golf course are always stunning and the ambiance is comfortable so it's not a bad place to chill while waiting for food and drinks. The food is good and they feature seasonal menu choices. This is one of my neighborhood restaurants in Silvertip Resort. Whether you are a local or a tourist Rustica steakhouse is a good restaurant to enjoy a glass of wine a decent Meal and beautiful Mountain View's .Cheers!

This was certainly one of the best restaurant meals we've had in a long time. Fantastic food, friendly and professional service, and a steak that was one of the best ever enjoyed in any restaurant. I don't write a review on every restaurant I eat in, but on exceptional service one way or the other. Absolutely is worth each of the 5 stars, make your reservation , you won't regret it!

This was fantastic! The view of the mountains and golf course were astonishing! The food was great! The steak was tender, the salmon was cooked to perfection. This is defiantly worth the money. The meal was a "date night" meal. You get a starter, main, and dessert and a bottle of wine. If you go make sure to set a reservation as it can get booked up.

Our group was located in an annex room right of the main entrance and was the perfect size to fit all of us. We had 2 primary servers who did an excellent job of making sure we had full glasses and full plates. We did family-style sharing of some of their starters and main dishes. The Bread and Butter was really delicious and it looks like their butter flavor is on rotation daily. The duck wings had a peach glaze and nuoc cham and cilantro- great combination. The chicken vegetable dumplings had great skin and texture. The peppercorn salad was adorned with pickled cabbage, capers, maple coconut, crunchy chickpeas and more - it was amazing. We also tried the Thai basil risotto and it was good but I'd go with the peppercorn salad over this if you're sticking vegetarian. The final dish was Alberta AAA Beef Brisket accompanied by gochujang mashed potatoes and broccolini. The brisket was incredible and just melted on the tongue. And the beer/spirits here were impressive as well. BLAKE is a must-try destination while in Canmore!

Had a nice ambience with plenty of seating inside and outside. However we found it was a little chilly inside the restaurant, especially near the windows where we were seated. The staff was friendly, but we found that service was a little slow even though it was not busy at the time of our visit. We appreciated the variety of breakfast items. It was definitely catered to international visitors. However, the food itself tasted just average. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, pancakes, French toast, and the omurice. The eggs Benedict came out cold, the omurice needed some additional ingredients for flavoring, and the pancakes and French toast came out dry. They charged us extra for a little tablespoon of extra maple syrup. The only tasty item was the smashed potatoes. Overall, would not recommend this place. It didn't seem like the price matched the quality of the food or the service.

While it was too cold to enjoy the patio during our visit, outdoor dining is available in warmer weather, and the mountain views from the restaurant are stunning. FOOD: 1. Firecracker Calamari (3/5) - Crispy calamari with sautéed peppers, soy, and sesame. Unfortunately, this appetizer had more side ingredients than actual calamari. It's shareable between 3-4 people, but I wouldn't order it again. 2. Canmore Pasta Bison Ravioli (3/5) - Served with a creamy au jus sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and parmesan. I didn't try this one personally, but those who did said it was just "OK." It comes with one slice of garlic toast. 3. Chicken Nirvana (4/5) - A coconut-based gravy with ginger, green chili, curry leaves, basmati rice, and Kerala parotta. The curry was a bit watery for my taste, and I wished the spices were more pronounced. That said, the parotta was nicely crisp -- always a win. 4. Alberta Beef Short Ribs (3/5) - Served with vegetables and gravy. I had a few bites and liked it, but something felt like it was missing -- I couldn't quite put my finger on what. 5. Atlantic Salmon (5/5) - Paired with a tarragon leek lemon emulsion and vegetables. I rarely order salmon at non-Japanese restaurants, but this was an exception. The salmon was perfectly cooked -- not dry at all -- and the emulsion brought everything together beautifully. The service was OK. The server was pleasant, and our drinks never touched the bottom. However, we had an early dinner time, and they were out of two items on the menu. Would I come back? Maybe. I'll explore other places before coming back.

We started with two small plates and a vegetable: Salmon Crudo, Pickled Marinated Fried Chicken and the Cabbage. Wow. Wow. Wow. We decided to eat each one entirely before moving to the next one. Each one had such unique flavors, we wanted to focus on them and enjoy without confusing our taste buds. I highly recommend doing this! Then we ordered the Lamb dish. Our menu said it was going to be a curry dish, but when it arrived it was a Mediterranean dish. It was honestly dreamy! But we were confused because I guess we had a copy of the old menu. Nonetheless, I basically licked the plate! Lastly we ordered the chocolate salted caramel budino (pudding) for dessert. It was so luscious and went perfectly with our end of dinner hot drinks of tea and cappuccino. The serviced matched the food: also fantastic. Super professional and friendly waitress (I forgot to ask her name) she was so personal and we enjoyed talking to her. They comp'd our lamb because of the menu mixup which was so nice!
