I've ordered delivery from this restaurant 4 times; every time the food has been overpriced and not good at all, which makes me wonder what's wrong with me? Why do I keep ordering from an expensive restaurant that has sub par food? I think it's prob because I'm so deprived of italian food that isn't pizzaria chicken parm, and everything on the menu sounds delicious. unfortunately it isn't. In the past I've had pasta in a weird red sauce with a very bitter aftertaste, pasta with broccoli rabe that was actually kale (did you think we wouldn't notice? I despise kale), "homemade"pasta that was so thick and gluey that it was inedible, fried seafood that was a total soggy grease bomb....just bad food. So last night I did it again. I ordered a pasta dish with salmon and zucchini with "a touch of cream." Here's what wasn't in this dish: zucchini (literally 4 tiny pieces of diced zucchini); cream (more like a drop of cream than a touch); salt (do you cook your pasta in salted water? cause it doesn't taste like it); flavor (this dish had none). The salmon was chunked, not a filet, which I kind of expected because the price was relatively low for a salmon dish, so I was expecting the salmon to be more of a garnish than the star of the dish. I was totally correct about that. The salmon was sparse and unseasoned, adding to the bland overall experience. I ate about a third of it and threw the rest away. I knew wouldn't want it as leftovers, even if I did doctor it up. That was $19 I'll never see again. I ordered the potato dish as a side. Beware if ordering online: what you get will not look anything like the picture; the picture appears to be fondant potatoes looking brown, crispy and delicious, and advertised as coming with an aioli. What you will get is a plate of fried potato quarters drenched in a slimy, mayonaise-y sauce which should have been served on the side so as not to ruin the potatoes. And the worst thing is that as soon as I opened the container, I realized I had ordered this dish before and threw it away because the slimy mayonaise sauce couldn't be avoided. And then I go and order it again! What is wrong with me?? $8 I'll never see again. And then finally, the key lime pie, my absolute favorite dessert. Priced at $10. As you've probably already figured out, I am very gullible, so instead of thinking "that pie is overpriced," I thought it must be a very special slice of keylime pie and I couldn't wait to eat it. Well, it was not special, just overpriced, and was sitting in a puddle of melted whipped cream, probably melted because the pie wasn't kept cold. When I order key lime pie from my diner, it costs 5 dollars and arrives with a mound of fluffy, real, whipped cream on a perfectly chilled slice of pie. $10 dollars I'll never see again. I'm not even sure why I've given this restaurant two stars. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. All the pasta is fresh and beautiful. This place used the best ingredients. We started with the grilled octopus Super tender on a yummy celery salad balanced with lemon and olive oil. 10/10. Then we got the orichette with sausage and broccoli rabe 10/10, and the plan speghetti and red sauce YOU MUST ORDER THIS. Get one for the table it's ESSENTIAL. Service is top notch. I don't know how this place has gotten so many good reviews. I only gave it two stars because the frito misto app was good but not great. The dipping sauce tasted ok but was thin and watery. My wife wasn't that hungry so she got a sasuage sandwich for her main. I know sasuace has to be cooked through but this was chopped up fine like tou would get on a pizza and totally over cooked till it was dried out and hard. The cheese was gummy. My main was saltambuca. I don't know what meat they used but it was overcooked and fatty.I have eaten this dish at numerous restaurants across the country and thankfully never had anything like this. The sauce tasted like the chef just poured some white wine over it and let the alcohol burn off. I wasted pasta with it and it was just swimming in the tasteless sauce. I came here the other day with my daughter after shopping on Fresh Pond Rd. I never knew this place existed. Words cannot convey how delicious the food was. We started with the Patata Bravas. It was incredible. I don't think I've ever has potatoes taste so good. For entrees we ordered Pacherro Alla Sandro and Linguine Alla Posillipo. Both were absolutely wonderful. The portions are generous, so we both took almost half of our food home. We were hoping to have dessert, but we were both so full, we didn't have any. My other friend got her pasta and I was informed my food was incidentally burned and would be another 5 minutes.
