I've been to three restaurants all within the same restaurant group: Marty B's, 1845, and now Rustico. The experience was consistent with the same friendly, personal, amicable service that I received it each visit. The food was on par with what I've come to expect. And at Rustico, although the menu had few choices, one could tell that the quality represented there was consistent. Instead of trying to do too many things well, the restaurant has a few really good choices. At the table of six where I was sitting, we had burgers, steak, lamb chops, and I had Seabass. Plenty of different vegetables for sides and everyone satisfied. Not particularly stuffed, which isn't a bad thing. The location didn't seem conducive to big parties and even finding seating for our group of six seemed intrusive to the flow in the restaurant. Grace, our server, did a fantastic job of greeting our table, ensuring that we were well informed about the specials, and also ensured that we didn't miss the opportunity to order some happy hour drinks and appetizers before 6 o'clock rolled around. The only things that I would change would be having accommodations to suit larger parties, and possibly offering some specials that weren't just derivatives of menu items, but were truly special items. We finally tried Rustico for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt warm, stylish, and perfect for a date night or special evening out. We both ordered the filet, which was juicy and seasoned to perfection. It was definitely one of my favorite filets I've had at a steakhouse. My loaded baked potato was delicious. We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and we were very happy with our first experience here. I ordered the chicken Rustico with the macaroni and cheese, it was delicious! Other people in my party ordered one of the pizzas, the wedge salad and the ribeye. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered. The restaurant was bustling but our service was top tier. We have been dining here possibly once a week for over 3-4 years. I always tell my husband I'm surprised they never recognize us and greet us as regulars. I was wanting to come to enjoy a fabulous dinner tonight after a rough day at office and decided to go with the chefs special. Again - never have the same waitress over the many years and even if we do we have to reignite the conversations we shared prior. This waitress was new for us but the Chef special was the worst meal I have had since going there. Even though I returned my plate barely touched it was not once offered to remove the entree from our bill. I was extremely disappointed and think I have finally given up on this place. When we go to Jason's deli they welcome us every time with name and happily greet us knowing we come 1 to 2 times a week. Much less than the $200-$250 per meal after drinks we spend at Rustico. This place was great from start to finish. Me and my wife walked in on a Friday evening to have a long needed date night. It was busy with a few people waiting to get seated so I was skeptical on getting seated quickly. The young ladies at the front were so nice, the wait was 20 minutes, and we ordered drinks while we waited for our seats. We were probably seated within 15 minutes but I have no idea because we were enjoying our drinks while we waited. The atmosphere was great if you're looking for a laid back vibe for date night. Our waiter knew the menu front to back as well as what drinks to pair with each item on the menu. The food was amazing I ordered the Cajun redfish with Brussels sprouts (the best Brussels sprouts) while my wife got the Chicken Rustico with asparagus. The meal was cooked to perfection I honestly couldn't have asked for much more. If you're looking for a great night out with your spouse or friends this is a great option in the area. I went to Rustico for my wife's birthday and our first date night since having our new born. The restaurant is amazing. The decor is fabulous and definitely feels as vibrant as it looks. The open kitchen and spacious dining area make the place jump. The service was great. Our waiter did a fantastic job and the management visited twice to make sure we were doing good. The food was decent. We got the crab cakes appetizer which was delicious. We got a Caesar-esk salad to start which was awesome. It had Kalamata olives which was an interesting twist that I loved. The seafood platter was a new addition to the menu! It was delicious, perfectly seasoned paired with a yummy aioli. It's served on a bed of crispy and truffle flavor filled fries that were a highlight of the meal. The alfredo was good too! The seasoning added a salty herby flavor to the pasta. I wish it was a tad bit creamier/had a little more sauce. Only downside was Google said the restaurant closed at 11 but it actually closed at 10.
