Tried for the first time Sunday with family and had a great experience. Our server was wonderful and the food was good. Our family had the burger special, chicken tenders and pear salad with grilled chicken. Craft cocktails were really good too. We wanted to sit on their patio overlooking the course but unfortunately it was very windy that day so we opted for inside but it was still a good experience. We visited with another couple for a casual dinner & drinks on a Saturday night. Fun, relaxed atmosphere with NHL playoff game on the big screen TV. Decor Decor Decor! A designers dream from top to bottom. It's beautiful inside and out here so the ambiance is gorgeous too. It's laid back and notnatuffy but very much a modern turn on favorites. My faves are the Ahi Tuna nachos, Any of the burgers and home fries, and the drinks are refreshing and inventive. Love this place for a sit outside on a patio and some fusion American food offerings. Nice restaurant. Very nicely laid out and the menu was good. I met up with some friends here that were from out of town. They picked the place based on a google search for bar and grill hahaah. They didn't know it was on a golf course. The food was great. I got the steak and it was very nicely made and I was happy with the meal. Went there for brunch and although the prices were great, I can't say that for the food. Maybe it was an off day, as this place was chosen simply for its previous reviews. Nevertheless, we were the only ones there and it took over 40 minutes to get the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits food items. The chicken was over cooked and had a slight burnt taste. We discovered from the sweet waitress that it took so long due to the waffle maker not working properly. What?! Ok, on the the shrimp and grits, I ended up asking for butter and sugar for them as they had no flavor. Eventually sent them back and just got oatmeal. I mean, you can't go wrong with that, right?! Well we ended up leaving and unfortunately won't return, but hey it's on a golf course and the atmosphere was amazing so 2 stars for that alone. read more

Such a hidden gem! This restaurant made for a great date night! The weather was really nice outside and they had lots of open seating on the patio. We loved everything we ordered and the waiter was very nice. Very friendly service and a relaxed environment. TO. DIE. FOR. BURGER. I am a self proclaimed burger junkie and the smash burger was BY FAR one of the best burgers I have EVER had. Waitress said it was one of their most popular items and I can see why. Not to mention it was priced at $9.00 instead of the normal $15 (that I would have HAPPILY paid for) to help get the word out. The fries were meh. Not a super big fan of crunchy skinny fries and the taste was a little off for me personally so I shared my son's fried okra which was really good. I'm torn with the stars because service and food deserve at least 4 stars, but the Prices are really steep for a public golf course restaurant. The restaurant and clubhouse are new with a great patio and very nice interior complete with fireplace and TVs. The music on this Saturday night was a bit too loud and was rock... something more for Happy Hour instead of evening dining. We were looking for a light dinner.. salads, a cup of soup. Salads were $12 but to add grilled chicken cost an extra $6 per salad, so $18 per salad.. A cup (literally 8 Oz, not a big bowl) of the soup of the day was $6. Iced tea was$3+. Our bill for 2 salads, 2 cups of soup and 2 iced teas was $54 and change. We should have bought a sandwich and French fries which were in the $16 range. The food was good, the service excellent, but the prices are too high for salads with an added protein and a cup of soup. read more

This was, at one time, one of our favorite places to eat after a round of golf or just after a long day of work... after tonight, I think it is not. Our friends met up for a quick drink and bite. The "manager" was completely rude about our friend ordering, what was at one time a regular drink. He made it sound like she was requesting something completely out of the ordinary... it was seriously a glass of prosecco with gin and one orher shot... the "manager" actually made such a big deal about our friend ordering this drink, that use to be on the regular menu, that our friends decided to leave. I will personally will not be returning. This "manager" was SO rude and completely inappropriate that I was embarrassed that we had invited other friends. I am completely set bback.that this grown man acted so rudely to our friends. read more

Well, we have tried. This is really close by and nice, new facility. 4 visits now, we understood when it was new and they were trying to work out kinks, food was ok, service very spotty. Went again last night, 4 adults, all ordered entrees. The wait staff is really spread to thin, only 3 to cover entire restaurant which has both inside and outside areas. Service slow, but understandable. Foor adults, all ordered entrees. Chicken and pasta was the best, but very basic, grilled chicken breast, average, no real flavor, the last 2 ordered the tilapia. No flavor at all, this is fried, was a bit over cooked and this sauce had zero flavor. Creamed spinach tasted like it was right out of a can. Stick to the bar food-burgers and sandwiches, those are your best bet, bring your wallet though. read more

Love this place and normally have great service. That was NOT the case when I was there with friends recently. Tad was our server and he might have been the worst I've ever had. He took our drink order [not pleasantly], returned with some some of them but mine never came. I saw it sitting on the bar. Tad picked it up, carried around the dining area and into the kitchen. He never delivered it. I finally got it from the bartender. Tad never came back to the table AT ALL. We were taken care of by other servers. I certainly hope Tad is not part of the new team once the restaurant transitions management. He clearly doesn't like his job. read more

We were excited to dine at Persimmons, but after being seated for 20 minutes without anyone offering to take our drink order, and noticing that many patrons around us were waiting on their food orders, we left. Live music was good but too loud since it was indoors in a small space. The music would have been great out in the patio.We couldn't hear each other talk about what we would order if someone showed up to take our order. ;-) read more

Our group ordered their Smash Burger and the Grilled Cheese and brisket sandwiches. The burger had two patties let, tomato and onions, cheese and a delicious special sauce. It was fantastic, and is now my favorite burger in the area. The sandwiches were pimento cheese and smoked brisket on toast. Great combination and one I had not seen before. Every bite was a delight. Fresh cut fries came with each meal. We'll back again and again to try other items. Persimmons is a new restaurant operated by Courey Hospitality located in the new Grapevine Golf Course clubhouse. read more

What a great atmosphere The food was good, but I knocked off a star because all the food came out cold.. A cheese layer had already formed over the queso by the time it hit the table. The tortillas for the fish tacos were raw, not heated at all... Our fish dish was cold and the portions were pretty small for the price. Including the $12 spinach salad; it was the size of a side salad.. Gorgeous decor. Lots of potential for this place. My husband, myself, and my 10 month old baby boy had a great night out here! Extremely friendly staff, delicious food, great music (a guy playing a guitar singing some of my absolute favorite songs- we like Texas country but he also played several genres of songs), the football game was on for my husband, and it wasn't too crowded at all. Just perfect for a Saturday night out with the fam.
