The first and second courses really stood out, especially the risotto, which was truly out of this world. One thing I really appreciated was how seamlessly everything was coordinated. Our party of eight all received our dishes at the same time, which made the experience feel elevated and well thought out. Each dish was carefully explained as it was presented, and anytime we needed anything, the staff was right there to assist. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and added so much to the experience by walking us through each course in detail. The ambiance and view made the evening feel even more special. I was slightly underwhelmed with the lamb main course, as it felt like it hadn't just come fresh off the grill and was a bit cold. That said, by the time it arrived I was already quite full from the earlier courses, so it didn't take away too much from the overall experience. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff made it feel special by bringing out a candle, which was a really nice touch. The nonalcoholic beverages were also excellent. Overall, despite a small hiccup with the main course, the exceptional service, coordination, and earlier dishes made this a wonderful dining experience.

The portions were surprisingly large for fine dining! I had got the 3 course with wine and that plenty for lunch, had to take a nap after. We had: Cheese plate - Cranberry bread was amazing Shrimp - Lovely Pork chop - Perfectly executed Gnocchi - Just lovely, didn't know they still did foam, which is kinda 00s? Sole - More foam, maybe a brothy sauce would've been good too. Clams tasty. Fish was a tad over seared, didn't care for the pickled greens, but they did add the much needed acid to the buttery fish Thai tea tres leches w mango sorbet - Mango was out of season, but they did what they could. Still so good, wanted to lick the plate

BEST ADVICE EVER. Even before we got there I could tell how nice and accommodating the entire staff was. we booked the upgraded little bungalow and the famous Calistoga Mud Bath. It was worth every penny to ensure my wife had the most wonderfully relaxing birthday she could imagine. The room was great, the pool and hot tubs were fantastic, the bungalow had its own soaking tub inside as well, but the mud bath was insanely relaxing and leaves your skin feeling amazing. The grounds are beautiful as well, they have bikes you can take for a spin, and bocci ball which I personally love as well. tons of great eats with 5 mins from the property. I couldn't recommend more. 10/10 Stars

When we arrived (early) our room was ready, SCORE, and we were greeted with Mumm Brut. Such a treat. Nick and Raymond were so helpful during our check in. Raymond remembered us from last year and that made the experience so much more personal. Also a shout out to the valet/bell hop staff. They are so fast, friendly, and helpful! Really appreciate them! The room was awesome! We had steam shower and an outdoor shower which was an upgrade from our room from last year. The fridge is stocked with water and Boylan cola if you need a pick me up. Love the spacious patio and his and her sinks. We spent the first day at the pool, which was very quiet and relaxing. The pool bar was closed but not an issue because you can just call the bar and they will bring you whatever you need. Also LOVE the pool top views. The grounds of this hotel are so serene, with art installations! Unfortunately, our precious Toby (fur baby) had a medical situation there and our stay was cut short. We had 3 nights planned and only got to stay 1. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Raymond, the front office manager. You made our decision to leave an no brainer and we didn't have any stress about not staying the other 2 nights. We will forever be loyal to Bardessono, due to the love and care that was showed to us by you that morning while we were in distress. Also thank you to the staff who was there on the night shift for parking our car when we returned from the emergency vet at 3:30 AM. While we were sad to leave we most definitely are looking forward to the next time we come back.

I will say first, from what I saw of the hotel, it is nicely appointed and has great staff. I would consider coming back just to stay. Our lunch was also pretty nice. The service was rather slow, especially since we were one of two occupied tables for most of the time we were there (mid-week), but the food was very good and fresh/healthy feeling. Now, on to the spa. I chose the 80 min peptide lifting facial for $395. First of all, $395 is a price you might pay for a full service spa. This is not that. There is a tiny locker room with a closet sized sauna in it that could fit one or two people. There is one shower and a sink to clean up in. No other facilities. Second of all, the facial was nothing special to cost that much. I have better facials at home at my local salon, and usually pay less than $100. At the end of the facial the esthetician, who had just spent the last 75 mins cleaning all the gunk off my face and out of my pores, then proceeded to put a nasty tinted moisturizer all over my face! I asked her about it at the time, told her that I do not wear makeup of any kind, and even told her I was concerned about it getting on the collar of my light grey sweater. She just slathered it on. Told me if I didn't like it I could use a tissue to wipe it off! When I went to get dressed after my service I looked in the mirror and saw that I did in fact look like a tangerine. Thankfully I had some cleaning wipes in my bag, and was able to get it all off. So I basically wiped off $395 of facial in two minutes with a cheap drug store towelette. Great. So, basically, stay at the hotel or maybe trying out the restaurant, but avoid the spa!

Solage is nestled right on the Silverado Trail in the heart of Calistoga, and the location is unbeatable--you're basically three minutes from downtown and a short, scenic drive from St. Helena and Yountville. The property itself is stunning. It's got that modern wine-country vibe with about 100 detached studios spread across 20-plus acres. When you're sitting in one of the natural hot spring pools or hitting the cold dips at the spa, it really does feel like world-class luxury. Between the mud slides, the gravity chairs, and the fitness classes, you can easily spend your whole trip without leaving the gates. The Food: Solbar is a must. We had the seven-course New Year's Eve prix fixe with wine pairings over numerous years, and each were equally unique and incredible. It's that perfect balance of farm-to-table "health" food and total comfort dishes. For something more low-key, Picobar by the pool has some of the best Baja-style tacos I've had in NorCal. Plus, the whole place is super dog-friendly, which is a huge win for us. The Experience & Pro-Tip: Definitely book through AmEx Platinum if you can. We used the Fine Hotels + Resorts program and snagged a $300 credit, a late 4 p.m. checkout, and an automatic upgrade. I will say, even "perfect" places have their off moments. This year, despite requesting a room close to the spa months in advance (and confirming twice), they initially tucked us away at the far edge of the property. I wasn't thrilled about hiking across 22 acres in my robe and sandals! I spoke with the front desk, and the concierge actually went back and reviewed my recorded calls to verify the request. They did move us about 30 minutes later to a spot half the distance away, though it lacked the private fenced patio and fireplace of our original booking. I was too tired to keep fighting it and just wanted to get to the spa, so I settled in. Despite that hiccup, the service and the atmosphere here remain some of the best in the world. It's not cheap, but for the memories and the access to Napa's best vineyards, it's worth it every time. Can't wait to be back next year.

We…read morevisited Solage and had a pleasant time, although compared to Stanly Ranch or ADS, Solage fell a bit short of expectations. Compared to Stanly, the rates for rooms were more expensive while I felt the Stanly offered a much better campus. Despite the comments about the campus, the food onsite was pretty good and the reviews will be posted in their respective pages. The room service could have been better as they missed delivery of the pre-ordered breakfast in the morning as the night shift didn't properly fill in the order request and didn't get placed, but the team quickly remedied the situation and delivered not too long after our original request time. The rooms were comfy with a good layout, but the garden out back were covered with fences and it didn't feel as freeing as Stanly Ranch's rooms where the back patio is uncovered. Overall, I'd visit Stanly or Auberge du Soleil when going back to the Napa area.

The location is excellent, with the plaza, downtown restaurants, shopping, and a lovely park all within easy walking distance. Parking was also convenient and free. Throughout our stay, the staff members we encountered were pleasant and welcoming. The inn also offered complimentary wine-and-cheese each afternoon, which was a nice touch. Our first-floor King room (number 7) overlooked the parking lot and was located right off the lobby. The room was dark, dated, and much smaller than expected. It felt sparse and lacked adequate horizontal surfaces. With only one luggage rack and limited space to set luggage, our second suitcase had to sit on a small corner table. We requested an additional rack, but none were available. The décor was underwhelming--blank walls with no artwork, covered hanging light bulbs instead of bedside lamps, and two chairs that looked in need of reupholstering. While there was a fireplace, using it comfortably required moving furniture, which then made circulation around the bed tight. The bathroom also needed updating; it was small with a tub/shower/plastic curtain, poorly lit, and had minimal counter space. A permanent sign instructing guests to run the sink slowly--due to known drainage issues--was an unfortunate detail that stood out. And the downside of a first-floor room with limited sound insulation was significant noise from the room above as well as in the hallway, which was at times disruptive.  Breakfast was included and changed daily. Chef Sal deserves particular praise--his breakfasts, homemade breads, and cookies were excellent and easily a highlight of the stay. The only disappointment at breakfast was the coffee, which was extremely weak and never hot enough. Fortunately, there's a Peet's Coffee directly across the street, and judging by the number of fellow inn guests we saw there each morning, we weren't alone in that assessment. Overall, while the location and breakfasts were strong positives, the room quality made this stay a disappointment given the price point. There are likely better options in the area. On a positive note, we continued on to Milliken Creek Inn in Napa (another Four Sisters property) which we found to be outstanding in every respect-a gorgeous, impeccably managed property.

You are never more than 100 yards maybe from the pool, I had a view of it from my room. I measured the length of the pool in Google satellite view and it's about 20 yards so you can get some decent laps in. There are seating areas in and near the lobby; my team had a spot to play board games in the hallway one night. We had a meeting room right off the bar for a small 3-day conference.
