Extremely pleasing for a Seafood Restaurant in the desert of Southern Utah. The Garlic Butter Boil was DEFINITELY garlic heavy and the tastes were phenomenal! I was disappointed in the lack of sausage in our boil, we fought for the (2) little scraps, but again, the Lobster Tails - though small, slathered in Garlic and Butter were worth fighting for. An impressive dinner and restaurant. The food!!! We had the seafood boil. One of us had shrimp and snow crab with the headless shrimp and medium Crabby Daddy Spice. The other person had the lobster tail and headless shrimp boil with mild Crabby Daddy Spice. The crawfish rice was filled with crawfish and the small portion was plenty for the two of us. My husband and I came in for lunch and I had my fingers crossed...toes as well, that they had shrimp and grits. They didn't, however they had enough choices that I found something I would totally order. My husband ordered the catfish lunch basket with fries while I ordered the grilled shrimp. Everything came out super fast and fresh. I'm not going to lie, the broccoli was so good I would have eaten and entire plate. Fried rice was really good, but my main complaint with any restaurant is that they used parboiled rice. Normally I won't even touch it because it has a very distinct flavor, but they actually did amazing at covering it up. Shrimp were don't perfectly and seasoned to perfection! So good! Breading on catfish was fantastic...everything was fantastic...including service! Thank you Lily! Will def be back for the feast! read more

So glad the rusty crab finally opened. I've been driving by it for almost 4 months!! The crab was outstanding. I got 1/2 lb of snow crab and 1/2 lb of shrimp in the Louisiana sauce. The sauce is actually a boil so you don't get all the potatoes corn and seafood lathered in the thick sauce so the owner came over and gave a giant bowl of the special mix sauce that was hit and spicy. The food was just as good as I hoped and the staff were super friendly. Not bad prices either, endless soda refills no alcohol yet but the owner said he's waiting for a license approval. I got the charbroiled oysters and the mixed bag with sausage and corn all for $48. I'll definitely be going again. read more

Snuck in during their soft open and found the place packed. Not much of a remodel from Pizza Hut, with the decor lacking but it was clean and comfortable. They were short staffed and running at a frantic pace as with any soft opening so I didn't mind. Our server was new and nervous but did great. We had the snow crab/shrimp boil with the Rusty's special seasoning, jumbo fried shrimp and a pound of king crab with the sides. Fried jumbo shrimp 4/5 King crab 5/5 Headless shrimp 5/5 Sausage 5/5 Fries 3/5 The seasoning was the winner here, so good. The shrimp came out of the peel easily. Fries were not the best, I'm sure once they get that fryer dialed in they'll be better. Sounds like they brought in a cook from Louisiana and comparing this to some of the boils I've had there, I think the rumor is true. I went Monday to get the usual lobster special, thinking it would be okay but I drove home racing for the bathroom. I started to eat like normal but towards the end of the meal I wanted to eat the final crab leg with the claw because the best is for last but there was bumps all over the meat and I hadn't noticed until the end of the meal. When I asked them if it was normal they said it was and refused to at least be kind about it basically making me feel crazy as if there wasn't something on the meat. I'm not sure if I will ever be going back especially after this, also I usually get one or two squishy crawfish but this boil had almost 5 or more soft and miscolored. I'm only now recovering but my stomach still feels messed up I just hope I can stop someone else going though that much stomach pain. Just a warning for any returning customers to check the meal before you eat ANYTHING or they will make you pay for it even if it's bad, you gotta say it right away. I just joined yelp so that I could comment on my dinner last night. Having gone to a similar restaurant in Las Vegas I was shocked at the prices. The food was mediocre. I was hoping that the beignets would redeem my dinner, but I couldn't believe what they considered a beignet. It looked and tasted like a rolled up biscuit from a Pillsbury tube, deep fried as tossed with powdered sugar-such a joke.
