    Classic burger with fries.

Great service got seated almost immediately, good menu choices, and beautiful scenery whether indoors or outdoors, you'll be able to view the Ledges golf course and the red rock mountains. Had an amber ale and cheesy garlic bread with marinara dipping sauce. And let me tell you that was one of the best cheesy bread I've had in a long time. I had the classic burger with fries and that burger was huge and very tasty.

The service was a little slow but it was worth the wait. They have a lot of options to choose from. We ordered from the house we were staying at and had it delivered. I ordered the Asian lettuce wraps. They looked very nice and tasted good.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Split a Ruben sandwich which is one of my wife's favorite and she said it was good just not the best. Fries were very good and wedge salad was one of the best I've had. Prices reasonable. Views from outdoor dining excellent.

Eggs Benedict? Cooked all the way through. Totally ruined and disgusting.

First of all, I see them advertised all the time, so we went for brunch on Sunday and they said they're closed. Quite confusing, so I had to call and make sure they were open. We got there and waited about 5 minutes at an empty hostess stand, and after two people walked by and said they'd be with us, another one came out and said "ok, just go find a seat". Then about 10 minutes later some guy comes out with some water (doesn't ask if we want anything else to drink (probably because theres no drinks on the menu)) and takes our order. I ordered a southwestern eggs Benedict. It showed no meat on the ingredients but I asked anyway. He said no. Then comes back and tells me that it comes with sausage on it?? Glad I asked. (Time to fix your menu, especially the horrible font, guys) So the food comes out 25 minutes later and it's just corn and black beans and some other kind of salsa in it? And the English muffin was just covered in powder or corn meal. Most disgusting combo for an eggs benedict, but I gave it a shot and cut into it, and the eggs were COMPLETELY COOKED. And COLD. What kind of Benedict is that?? I asked the waiter what the heck is wrong with it and why it was cooked that way and he said he'd talk to the chef. Never did. Instead he came out with the check and made us pay the full price of the disgusting meal which was clearly not eaten. Never going back here again. Ever. I'd never recommend this place to anybody. Terrible service. Terrible food. Way too overpriced and pretentious.

There were 4 people behind the reception table and that's good because there were piles of people inside! We were afraid we won't get a table fast because there were probably 30 people waiting both in and out. The receptionist asked if we're ok with sushi bar. We said yes and we were seated in 3 minutes, way ahead of everybody! There are 2 sections: habachi and sushi. We were of course seated at the sushi area. Our server's name was Star and she was lovely, highly attentive and efficient. We ordered sushi and yakisoba and everything was fresh and tasty! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back next time we're in St George!

The reason for the one star review is the quality of the food. The food was bland and lacking seasoning except for the soup which tasted like you were putting salt directly on your tongue. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the next morning I woke up with severe food poisoning, and spent the whole day stuck in my hotel room sick. We've called the restaurant, left a voicemail, and wrote in. We have not heard back. While we were initially excited to try this restaurant after driving by it for years, we will not be returning, and won't recommend this venue to anyone. They seem to have more focus on branding and being flashy, rather than proper food handling.

The food here is very good. I recommend the wedge salad and the bone in rib eye. My rib eye was perfectly cooked. Tender, juicy. Absolute stunner of a steak. The cocktails also were phenomenal, which ironically is hard to find in this area. The bread also amazing. Only thing I would not recommend is the scallops. I think they are too big. Smaller ones would work better for their steak. Otherwise, a wonderful evening. Good wine list. Great service and everyone was helpful. I know this is a newer restaurant but I'm coming back again.

This is the second time coming here, first time was great, decor, professional service, and food and presentation were very good. I wrote a glowing review about it. Tonight we went there with 2 other couples, and dinner was similar in many respects. Each couple had different appetites and whether they drank alcohol or now. Our server was fantastic, she was attentive and elegantly described the menus and dishes. Our table was beautiful. We had a wide variety of drinks, wine and food, all I would rate 5 Stars as well, but when the bill came and they refused to split the bill other than evenly 3 ways. Even though I worked out how much to put on each of our cards, they refused because their policy was that they could only split the check evenly. One couple only had appetizers and split an entree and no alcohol. Their portion of the bill was only $154 while mine was $323. Forcing them to pay for my much more expensive dinner ruined the mood for all of us. I ended up paying the entire $725 bill because I did not want to put our friends out, BUT THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR GOOD, I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

There are places you go... and then there are places that feel like you've finally come home…read more The Painted Pony is the latter. We adore slipping away for lunch and settling onto the patio, where the world softens--shade drapes gently overhead, birds sing as if they've been hired just for the occasion, and time... well, time slows down enough to breathe. The service is nothing short of immaculate--attentive in that quiet, effortless way that makes you feel seen without ever being interrupted. And the food... oh, the food. The bacon-wrapped dates must have been crafted in heaven... or perhaps meant for the gods and somehow gifted to us. The tuna melt was so transcendent I found myself wondering if I had ever truly tasted tuna before... or if I had just been living a lesser version of the experience all along. And the beef bourguignon... my heavens. It was as if your grandmother--if she were also a five-star chef--had been waiting for you, simmering something rich and soulful to welcome you back after a long journey. Even the tea felt royal... and the mocktails were so delightful, so thoughtfully made, that not once did we miss the alcohol. The Painted Pony isn't just a meal... it's a return.

The Painted Pony in St. George, UT - A Cozy Gem with One Miss (Pass on the Crab Cakes)…read moreIf you're looking for a solid upscale dinner spot in downtown St. George, The Painted Pony in Ancestor Square is a strong choice. Tucked into the Tower Building, this New American restaurant nails the Southwestern-meets-fine-dining vibe: intimate indoor seating with contemporary regional art, fresh flowers, and soft lighting, plus a charming patio for when the weather cooperates. It feels romantic and relaxed without being stuffy--perfect for date night or a special occasion while visiting southern Utah.c91b9be2267e Service was attentive and friendly without hovering. Our server knew the menu well and made solid wine recommendations (they've got a nice list, and no-corkage Mondays are a nice touch if you BYO from a Utah store). Portions are generous for the price point--definitely not the tiny-plate nonsense you sometimes get at fine-dining spots. We started with the carrot jalapeño soup (bright, flavorful, and a nice kick) and the baked brie, which was rich and perfectly paired with the seasonal chutney and crostini. For mains, the bone-in pork chop and the hanger steak were highlights--well-cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor from the fresh ingredients and thoughtful sauces. The sides (mac & cheese and haricot verts) were solid too. We finished with the key lime pie, which was a bright, creamy winner. One note, though: pass on the crab cakes. They're a menu staple (around $16, served with something like pomegranate salsa or poblano aioli depending on the season), but ours were mostly filler with a noticeably fishy taste. Not worth the spot on the table when there are so many stronger starters and entrées.781e4d Overall, we'd happily return to The Painted Pony. It's one of the better fine-dining options in St. George--great atmosphere, strong service, and mostly excellent food at reasonable prices for what you get. Just skip the crab cakes and you'll have a winner of a meal. 4/5 stars. Recommended for visitors and locals alike. Reservations advised, especially on weekends.
