If you receive an offer from Rusty Drewing's sales team for your car/truck please be careful of a bait and switch. I posted my 2019 truck for sale with only 79,000 miles on it for 20,500 (nearly 2k below average sales price on autotrader and across sales sites.) I explained it had chipped paint as well as a small dent on the side and posted photos of everything. I received a message from Clay on FB who said he was interested in buying it. When I asked if he'd like to test drive or see the truck he said: "I don't necessarily need to see it to buy it. I work for Rusty Drewing Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac in Jefferson City, Missouri." He offered me18k because of the paint and dent, wrote up and sent me a photo of the bill of sale and the cashiers check. After I received those photos I rejected other offers and interested parties and took down the ad. We had to wait for the sale of the truck to organize our move and once I saw the check and bill of sale I proceeded to plan our move logistics across the country. Four days after the photos were sent to me I met two workers from Rusty Drewing who drove 4 plus hours to pick up the truck and give us the check. The two workers Rob and Bob were two of the kindest men I've ever met and Clay put them both in a very uncomfortable position. When they arrived and sent photos of the truck, Clay said he was pulling out of the deal because of the paint on the door (same paint issue described in the post and shown in the photos.) He then proceeded to have us wait for 30 minutes while he discussed what price he was willing to still buy it for. At this point we had already arranged our move and gave up other offers to stick to the agreement of the price Clay had offered. At no point did Clay ask for further photos or details about the truck or say that the price offered could change in all the time we discussed the sale. All he wanted was the VIN number, never asked for anything else and said he didn't need it. We had no choice but to accept the offer of another two thousand off the price since we do not have the time to repost and find another buyer before we leave town. Be careful with these guys, this salesmen does not stick to his word, if they contact you be very careful of a bait and switch. read more

Best experience I have ever had at any car dealership! Had a check engine light come on and pulled in to have it checked. They managed to fit me in without an appointment and late in the day. My diesel truck had a faulty EGT. They overnighted it in, and installed it on a Saturday Morning. Took care of the extended warranty claim on my behalf. I could not ask for better service, more pleasant staff or nicer waiting room! Would have given them more stars if I could! read more

Chevy dealers are selling diesel trucks with faulty parts, plus they cant tell you how long it will take to get it repaired. They've had my 2024 Silverado (Duramax) for 8 weeks. Plus they wouldn't give me a loner. I guess these dealers think everyone can rent a car plus the payment on the Junker they sold. Stay away from Chevy. read more

Place is ass, they won't even call and tell your vehicle is done then you have to okay telephone with their company on a Friday at 5-6 trying to figure out if your truck is good and they say it's good but no one will actually confirm it read more

Massive service rip-off: I had a leaky rear wheel; brought it in and had them check all tires and re-seal. They said the rear rim was broken, needed to be replaced-- no word of any other issues with the other wheels (except of course I needed new shocks). $8,000 later, got the car back and now my front tire is leaking. We brought it back, and NOW they say there was massive corrosion in the FRONT tire, and that wheel needs to be replaced. Total BS rip-off masters, beware! (Follow up: Plaza Tire fixed this for $26!-- the SAME wheel they Rusty Drewing wanted to throw away, to sell me a new one) read more

I bought a used vehicle and 7 weeks into owning it the transmission went out. I had it towed to dealership thinking I might be able to get a loaner vehicle from them. Unfortunately was told the last one they had was sold earlier that day. As a repeat customer of many years Riley always went above my expectations with customer service and it seems new ownership might not appreciate the customer always being loyal with vehicle trades and needs. I admit I did not purchase an extended warranty due to 50,000 miles on vehicle. Bottom line is I know the transmission is my responsibility. This is the way a dealership shoudl be operated. You can buy a car here, get it serviced and have it repaired, if necessary, all in one place. The sales people (Mark WIlliams) are honest and know what customer service is all about. The service department is fantastic too. Danny and Travis are always there to help get you going and like the sales guys, are HONEST about what they tell you... it is so refreshing... I was on vacation traveling from east coast to west coast and my 2016 GMC 2500HD needed an oil change and fuild top off. It was the day before the holiday weekend but they got me in for the service. The service writers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I planned on a 2 or 3 hour wait as I was a squeeze in, but they had me out of there in about 30 minutes. I was disappointed with my recent visit to Riley's. I have bought 2 vehicles from them in the past. I found an SUV that I really wanted to purchase. I started negotiations with the salesman. They were able to come off the price a little and I came up on my end. I was trying to purchase the vehicle with cash and no trade in. In the end we were $1,000 apart. I got a couple of emails asking me if I had any questions. I called them back about the vehicle and was told that they would rather take it to an auction than sell it to me (a returning customer) to make the extra $1,000. In reality, they will be making much less than that once they pay the cost of hauling the vehicle to the auction and the auction fee. So, I want to pass this message forward--Riley's would rather sell to auctions rather than make lasting relationships and loyal customers. Be sure to ask if the vehicle you're looking at is for sale to the public before you decide you want to deal with them. Terrible experience. I won't be back. read more
