Dry brined overnight and so tender we didn't really even need knives. Their marbling was perfect as was dinner. What is also worthy of mentioning is value. Our relationships with the team alone make shopping here consistently a pleasure. Their prices, equally so: the pork chops are similar in cost to grocery stores but far exceed their quality. I saw the store on Frank Lloyd Wright on the way home from Chase bank. I then turned around and went back, I had no idea it was there. I also had no intention of making a purchase.......But, I did end up buying pork chops. Thick, on the bone and juicy. The shelves, cold case and the freezer section had products that I had not seen since leaving the Chicago area. Going into a shop where you have people that WANT to assist you is the first step in establishing a relationship. Their friendly attitude and selection of quality product will keep me coming back. As much as I'd love to leave a Stella review, as I am sure everything is great, unfortunately I was unable to buy any meat today. I went into the store about 20 minutes before they were closing to get some filets. Unfortunately, they were out of fillets in the case which I understand. I was led to believe that they had more meat, but since they were closing in 20 minutes, weren't able to cut any. If that's the case, I guess I just don't understand. That's probably a couple hundred dollars that they could've had before closing But instead, I was basically dismissed. Not to say I won't give it a try again, but I guess I need to get there early or call in advance to see if they'll be able to cut any more meat if they are close to being out. read more

The meat and fish here are fantastic. The staff is pleasant and go out of their way to cut the meat just to your specifications. They also have veal scallopini and veal chops which are hard to find elsewhere. I have been shopping here for over a year and have never had a bad experience. read more
