We're happily regulars at this wonderful meat and fresh fish market. Despite its size it is LOADED with surprises. Their staff recommended algae oil, about which we were completely unfamiliar, to pan sear their fresh black grouper. Its smoke point is remarkably high and flavor is delicate. Perfect! We'd also never cooked or eaten grouper skin. It was recommended and superb! Much like that of Branzino. Cooked in a small drizzle of the algae oil, it's now a repeat entree. Bonus is how it adds flavor to the fish and makes cooking it easier. We always prefer local businesses and cooking together for dinner dates at home. First time checking out NMF and it was a great experience. Was greeted immediately by the staff when I walked, they are all super friendly. They have much better options than chula seafood in my opinion! So manny different types of wild fish to choose from... I got the rainbow trout and a pound of the pumpkin swordfish. The swordfish is incredible, grilled it for 6 mins on one side then flipped it and grilled it for 3 mins on the other... was amazing. Pumped for the trout, going to make it tomorrow. Planning on making this a regular stop for seafood. Highly recommend! read more

Fresh and delicious oysters! We enjoy them in their patio with three wonderful sauces. Halibut ceviche is tasty and the sour/spicy is so good with creamy fresh halibut. The brunch toast with salted salmon is good and huge. Line can be long but the service is fast. There are lots of available parking space. read more

The faroe Island Salmon is fantastic and when they have it we get the sturgeon. Amazing bacon. Nueskes is the way. Staff is always prompt and friendly and the ambiance is good. I will admit that it is pricey, but that's because it is the freshest and best seafood available and of course, it costs $$$ to get it here. What an amazing experience!! From the moment my husband and I walked in the door we were greeted immediately by both of the gentleman there. We were there to buy some salmon to make sashimi. They were extremely knowledgeable and helped us and even gave us tips that we did not think we needed to know. We decided to stay and have some food so we had some fresh raw oysters and shared the beef grinder sandwich. Everything was amazing! The oysters were fresh and delicious and large. The sandwich was truly out of this world! The sesame seed bun was soft and delicious and flavorful and complemented the sandwich perfectly. The meat was sliced Finley and it was so tender and juicy. Everything was perfection! They had a huge selection of seafood as well as meats and bacon and fresh pasta and fresh Pomodoro sauce. We will for sure be back and can't imagine getting our seafood from anywhere else anymore!! We have been fans of Nelson's fish for years! Always super fresh, the service is always awesome! We have Never tried the steak but this too always looks great. So last time in, a few days ago at the Scottsdale location, my wife picked up a Giant ribeye along with our usual fish. We were super excited to try it and cooked it that night on the Traeger to a perfect medium rare. Expecting a super tender first bite, we were both extremely disappointed! The steak was tough and super chewy! There was a gristle line running through it as well. For 75 bucks, this should have been high end restaurant quality! In a restaurant, I would have sent it back. Not sure if we just picked the wrong package? But with that price point, there shouldn't be any question!? We will be sticking to the fish from now on. read more
